- We're finally back to another round of 'Something as Dragons' but this time stepping out of the world of superheroes. Because it's finally the Halloween month I've been going through a few different Horror movies and spooky focussed topics for my videos. I had a bunch of ideas but at the end of the day needed all you awesome subscribers to decide for me what today's video would be. Your final verdict; What if FAMOUS HORROR CHARACTERS Were DRAGONS?! (Lore & Speedpaint)
So in this video, I'm redesigning and writing backstories for four different dragons based off some of the most famous Horror Icons around! We've got Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street, Pennywise from It, Michael Myers from Halloween and The predator from Predator. (Felt like a good final fit since I did a Xenomorph from alien in my last video)

October Slowstalker is my favorite! We need a part two of these vicious horror dragons!!!
Scorched Nightmare: Fortunately, this one is still a juvenile. If it was a full adult, it would have a massive crest with a wide brim covering it's upper face. Some say the crest is merely decoration, mostly showing which one is the alpha, but, seeing as Scorched Nightmares are solitary dragons, that theory is thrown out the window. Others believe that it is a sort of sensory organ, the wide brim of said crest being able to pick up minuscule vibrations from dragons that are experiencing troubled sleep. However, their olfactory sensors are more than strong enough to pick up the smell of adrenaline, so that theory doesn't work. So, as of now, there is no concrete explanation as to why this dragon has such a clashing crest. Personally, I think it's just a vanity thing: the Scorched Nightmare dragon saw humans with hats on, and overtime, grew their own "hats" to look more like them. Just so it could look "cool".
Fanged Jester: You forgot to mention their "Death Lights": bio-luminescent pockets on their bodies that create an eerie glow around them. These lights are how they attract most of their prey. Imagine it: you're in a dark cave, tired from wandering the labyrinthine caverns for God knows how long, and helplessly lost. Suddenly, you see a light shining nearby, and hear what appears to be laughter coming from it. Finally! An exit! Salvation! With no hesitation, you go after the lights, only to see them move away from you. The laughter is still there, and begins to become a bit unsettling, but the lights shine so beautifully, that you can't help but follow them. Finally, you are within touching distance of the lights, in awe of how they glow and shine, completely mesmerized by the brilliant patterns and colors they give off. Then, before you even have time to scream, the razor sharp claws of the Fanged Jester pierce through your chest. You feel your blood pouring from the gaping wound, tasting the coppery tang of it in your mouth. You're afraid: you're going to die here. Nobody will ever find your body. Nobody will ever know what even happened to you. All you know, is that you're terrified: you've just become the next meal of the smiling dragon hovering over you.
October Slow-Stalker: There is a theory running around as to how and what the drakes in particular hunt. Some would say they are opportunistic hunters, going after anything they can reach. I don't buy that, however. I myself, have seen some old documents from, and I use this term lightly, "survivors" of these drakes' attacks. It seems they act more along the lines of hunting dogs: tailing and following one single target at a time. They do kill without hesitation, but those kills seemed more like a case of "wrong place, wrong time". Anything that gets between the Slow-Stalker and it's prey are instantly dispatched, than completely ignored. It's only their "obsession" that the Slow-Stalker will eat. But, that just leaves the question: how does a Slow-Stalker choose it's obsession? And what happens to those who really do survive an attack from them? Frankly, I think the people I interviewed have never even heard of this drake, let alone encountered one and lived. But, the obsession theory does seem to answer a few questions as to why they don't eat all their kills.
(real talk: throughout all the Halloween movies, Michael Meyers was described evil incarnate. And that's pretty much it: all he does is kill with no hesitation, mostly anybody who gets between him and the character he's chasing after. So, yeah, I'd think a "force of nature" can be as good a description for him as well as "evil incarnate". Granted, I'm paraphrasing from the movie, but still...)
Winged Jungle-Hunter: Amazingly, despite being ferocious predators, the Jungle-Hunter is one of the most honorable dragons one can meet. They rarely use their fire breath, seeing it as a cheap tactic, and won't attack a wounded or weak target. They only seem to hunt targets that are on an equal playing field with them, and even when they do hunt, they ensure that their prey's death are quick and painless. There's no unnecessary suffering on the prey's part. Adding to their honor, if their prey can match skills with them, the dragon will let them go, seeing them as "a worthy hunt". There have even been cases of Jungle-Hunters giving one of their "trophies" to a worthy prey, seeing it as a sort of "brother-in-arms". There have even been stories of humans and Jungle-Hunters teaming up to hunt down and kill much worse dragons. In fact, there is one dragon species in particular where the Jungle-Hunter will throw away it's honor to kill. Unfortunately, most documents of this rival dragon species are pretty much non-existent. All I could dig up was a single scroll from a knight named Elena LouRipos that spoke of first hand experience with these beast. She'd taken to calling these supposedly acid spitting dragons "The Twisted".

You put to much time into this, and I'm loving it. You have a gift or are a big horror movie guy that wanted to tie up some loose ends in the actual lore and powers of the characters in the movies.

Imagine a flash xenomorph cross breed or a mister freeze on. Xenomorph do have the ability to meld the hosts DNA into their own leading to wonderful cross breads. Take regularly human based xenomorphs and compare it to the bull mixed xenos these bull xenos are built like tanks and act like bulldozers or mobile living cover, other bull mixed have ability to go into a ball and turn into sonic essentially

I love dragons but have a hard time drawing them, but seeing these inspires me to keep trying, and I think drakes are awesome dragons.
maybe next you turn famous Halloween festivities (trick o treating, pumpkins, etc) into something. Like a hero or a mythical beast. Mythical beasts could be fun. A Pumpkin based turtle creature would be pretty funny.
You should do old timey literary characters ( like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde) or classic universal monsters in different genres or in dnd

I like the Pennywise Dragon; you really managed to not only get inspiration from his monstrous transformations but also retain his creepiness factor.
I love these dragon horror villains. My favorite is the Pennywise dragon. And a little head canon of my is that I think the wings would glow,to paralyze their prey. It would make sense because Pennywise’s true form is the “Dead Lights” and staring at them will make an individual go into a frozen state.

How did I not think of this before.... making things into dragons is like, your thing. This should have been a no brainer. Hell, if you do start working with yugioh, I shouldn't be surprised if the first thing you did was make them into dragons.... probably made easier for the ones that have Dragon's as there Aces.... like all of Team 5Ds from Yugioh 5Ds or Yuya and all his dimensional counterparts from Yugioh Arc-V.

In my opinion the predator dragon is one of the best ideas ever. In fact here are some of my own ideas:
1. They are an aggressive but honourable species and if they view a human as 'worthy' they will allow the human to ride them, but very rarely.
2. Their helms (biomasks) are a human creation, if they become mounts.
3. The females of the species are larger and more aggressive than their male counter parts.
4. Their blood is glowing green obviously.
5. The older the dragon gets their horns become longer but also weaker.

I loved the October Slow Stalker dragon you made! It fits Michael Myers because there is no reason behind the killings. Both of them do those acts because it makes sense to them. I'll give additional fun facts about the dragon to make things interesting.
Despite its animalistic nature, the October Slow Stalker was surprisingly intelligent for a drake of its unique species. It would bide its time patiently to stalk and sneak up on victims before killing them, and it would leave its victims on display for other potential prey to find before killing them as well.
While the October Slow Stalker can't breathe fire, have claws or wings, or have any special abilities, it possesses an unnatural tolerance to pain and damage, making it seem immortal and supernatural. Should a hunter or dragon wound the dragon, it would not make a sound that shows pain. It would not roar, shriek, growl, or grunt from the discomfort. Instead, it would pause for a moment before continuing its pursuit. Even in hibernation, it would not notice the injuries it may have until it wakes up. Some hits could momentarily incapacitate it to the point of unconsciousness, but it can use its crippled state to fool its enemy into a false sense of security. It would immediately recover and go in for the kill once more.
Unlike normal drakes, the October Slow Stalker possesses nearly supernatural strength that surpassed its brethren. It can overpower any dragon twice its size with its clawless paws or stab them with its bladed tail with such force the blade goes through their husk. Utilizing its prehensile tail (which happened to be necessary for stabbing or slicing in multiple directions), it can strangle its prey to the point where it would result in a broken neck. For the average drake, its act of destroying their equal opponent's skull required a few stomps. For the October Slow Stalker, all it took was one to crush them into a bloody pulp.
While most people saw the October Slow Stalker as an animal acting on instinct, a dragon researcher named Loomis, who diligently studied its behavior throughout his years, concluded it was purely and simply evil. It wasn't just an animal whose behaviors originated from its upbringing. Abuse by humans or dragons never contributed to the way it was. The dragon was born that way from the moment it was born.

while Freddy, Pennywise and the Predator dragons have really cool heads and more elaborate designs, I think my favourite of the bunch is the Michael Myers drake, which turned out creepy and menacing despite (or maybe because of) the minimalistic design.
I'm surprised you didn't add the Deadlights to the Pennywise Dragon, that would've been an interesting feature. Also, here's a couple of ideas for future Horror Movie Dragons:
Brightburn Dragon (Related to the more peaceful Superior Sky Dragon)
Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth
Death Angels from A Quiet Place

Well met PopCross, I have seen your work for a long time now and I love the art and most of all the lore you make for your characters so I come to you with a challenge. With the coming and the huge amount of hype for the next Monster Hunter game aka MH being
Monster Hunter Rise. I hope to see you take some of these amazing creatures and turning some of them into a team of heroes with Rathalos as the leader vs the black dragon Fatalis as the big bad villain. If you don´t feel like it I´ll understand but something tells me you might have a lot of fun with this and a lot of your fans would love it.

I'd like to see a version of the Scorched Nightmare where someone came across the egg and were able to prevent it from scorching itself. At least when young and unable to control their fire.
For the Predator I think your fire was amazing, but I think you should have also given him acid spit
