I tried matcha 🍵 and especially the ceremonial experience in Kyoto 🇯🇵 and it was something I loved and hold dear. Japan 🇯🇵 Japanese culture, language and the Japanese people is for me connected with positive experience. Definitely my favorite culture and country 🙇♂️ 🇯🇵

To call this a gem is an understatement, Shogo. This experience in itself would be reason enough to visit Kyoto - perhaps with the addition of a visit to the various marvelous temple gardens to round it out. So happy to see Camellia garden in your vids. I had my first tea ceremony with them back in 2015 (at that time It wasn't near ryoan-ji, if I recall correctly it was in ninenzaka)... It's still one of the fondest memories I have of my several trips to Kyoto. I can't wait to be back there again!

My husband and I went to observe a tea ceremony at the Seattle Art Museum (Washington, USA) that was in a small tea house. It was lovely to watch, and we were served tea and sweet after. I would love to be an actual participant as you both were. All your videos are such treasures to watch.

Yes I used to be a tea server myself! However my master prohibits me to do it on social media, so that’s why I cannot show you how I do it unfortunately…😭
My mind's been detoxed already just by watching the video! Would love to visit there in the future. Btw, it reminds me a lot of Kamisato Ayaka from Genshin Impact (she's a character from this game btw), coz she'd mentioned liking to do tea ceremony hahaha xD
15 minutes to prepare a cup of matcha tea. 0 minutes needed in cleaning the surrounding area afterwards, because nothing was spilled, the mats most likely are stainless cause the tea wasn't splashed whilst mixing. No sticky sugar. Compare this to our instant coffee counter. We are always in a hurry. To make instant coffee in 2 minutes, we often will spill some coffee, spill some sugar, spill some milk, whilst mixing we might splash the coffee and most of us throw the spoon in the sink. After a few minutes the counter needs to be swept of sticky coffee and sugar granules, and then thoroughly wiped down. So I see the efficiency in this ceremony. Also, far more peaceful.
I would compare this to visiting a three star michelin restaurant. You are not there for a easy meal that will fill your belly, you are there for the experience. The same goes for a tea ceremony, you are not there for a cup of tea, you are there for the experience.
I hope by asking this question I don’t come out as rude or ignorant, but i am curious, the tea sweets, say you are a diabetic (assuming they contain sugar) is it rude to not eat the tea sweets or maybe ask for a non sugar variety? Some of my biggest fears is traveling to foreign lands where they carry such traditions as Japan for example but having such an illness as mine and not knowing how to approach situations where one is limited to the foods you can have and having to deny the consumption of certain foods. I hope i said this right and again I apologize if my comment sounds ignorant or rude im just curious. Thanks in advance for any replies on my comment.

It was a very relaxing experience with amazing Japanese environment. The tea house, the nature, the lady. It was, like, visiting an entirely different world than yours, unknown to you. You're just amazed by its beauty. I started drinking tea since I stopped drinking coffee 4 months ago, so I plan to try the macha and get the appropriate tools since I understood at what's going on with the gift my kendo friends gave me.
This was so relaxing to watch! Every move she makes is so deliberate, like a specially choreographed performance. What a beautiful art!
