I'd mow the yard for money and the only time I didn't mow over the ant piles my pop gave me hell. I told him they would get in my shoes and bite me. He said hell son give me that can of gas ill show you how to fix that. We almost set the whole back yard on fire. Mom was pist. I'd just mow over them after that. Miss that crazy guy.
My Dad is deathly allergic to bees. That story reminded me of a time when we were camping. And me, my brother and Dad were out on a nature walk going down a river bed area that was really nice and was nearby our camping spot. It was a path riddled with logs and trees that fell over and we were walking for a good five minutes along this river. My Dad picks something out in the grass just off the path. He goes, "Oh look a soccer ball". He kicked it and all I heard was buzzing. Than my dad yells, "Run it's Bees". Me and my brother were young at the time but, I remember vaulting over all those trees like the weren't even there. We all three of us were out running the bees and got back up to camp. The second I got up the path to where the fire pit was I sat down and pretended every thing was normal. Meanwhile, Everyone else was hiding in my Dads work truck and a few minutes later they come back out. And all of them start laughing at me. And I just laughed because I couldn't understand why they would be hiding and thought they were messing with me. And I just said, " Wow, are we leaving already?" But we stayed the night.
Wow I can relate, my dad is the best. He always try to make you smile. He loves missing with people. But now he has health problems. Just hope he gets better now.

I’ve got a pretty funny dad story… My dad liked to scare me whenever I was younger too… Well, idk if you know what a workout wheel is (I’m sure there’s a more technical term for it) but my dad had one of those and it was literally a wheel with two handles in the center of it and you rolled with it to work your abs. Well I think my dad said I was maybe 3 years old, and well he was sleeping because he had work that night and I guess I kept going in there and waking him up. So he thought if he put the bed sheet over his head and scare me that I’d leave him alone… So he does just that and gives me this big ol ghost noise and I decided to pick up that workout wheel and I swung and clocked him over the head with it… 😂 I’ve never seen a ghost go away that fast in my life

I told the story, he told the principal that I would return to school tomorrow but right now he was taking me to Dairy Queen for a Hot Fudge Sunday. I obeyed my dad, but the other girl got into so much trouble. This was back in the middle of 1976 school year. 😊
OMG my dad thought man which had meat in it. He was already had some buns and just open the can was like it's just sauce! He assumed it was like Chef Boyardee there they had the meat already in it.
Luckily he didn’t jump in the pool. It’s a bad idea. Bees will wait for you to surface and sting the heck out of you. There has been cases where they have attacked people for over an hour stinging every time they would surface.

Man do I have stories lol back in the 70 we had Gas shortages my pops in line to get gas and a little Datsun runs out of gas in line he gets out says to the guy out of gas are ya he says yep my dad grabs the bumper jerks the car out of line and goes to the back does the same thing so the car is out of the lane Then tells the guy he would let him push it but it wasn't American. I still laugh about this because he ran out gas 4 cars from the pumps in 1969 Buick I laugh now but I wasn't back then oh hell no LOL
