Excellent rendition of such a special game. No words can describe what those of us who were fortunate enough to witness the events of that day.. and the Bills would go on the road to beat Pittsburgh and Miami next... amazing run.
I'm old enough to REMEMBER this game!!! It was incredible!!! Ima JETS fan but in reality I'll be pulling for your Bills because they are the BEST in the league right now!!!
I was 12 and this was my first live Bills game. We sat in the 3rd to last row nosebleeds. The people we came with wanted to leave at half time but since it was my first game we decided to stick around and see if we could see a touchdown at least. I remember when Christie kicked the winner a random guy in front of us picked me up and hugged me screaming " We're going to Pittsburgh!". It was awesome. Go Bills!
I'll remember that game forever. I was there. People were actually leaving Rich Stadium after the first half! No one could call a game like Van Miller!! #missingthegloryyears
I was at the game. We bolted after the start of the 3rd and the pic 6. Had a sub and beer in the parking lot as we listened to the crowd cheering once, then twice and then a third time. Turned on the car radio to hear the third comeback touchdown. Locked the car up and stormed the entry gate. A guy gave the attendant a $20 to open the gate and 50+ of us piled through. Returned to our seats for most of the 4th and the OT. Wild game!
Blacked out here in Rochester so my Brother and I listened to the first quarter and got so discouraged we gave out and went out back to throw the football around. Little while later mom yelled out to us they scored so we ran back in to listened to the rest
Hell yea I was frantically listening at my parents house to it at 10 years old. I’ve been searching for a Van Miller play by play of this for years so figured it was time to put it to the call we experienced as kids! Love hearing comments like yours. Go BILLZ!!!
i remember watching this at 16 years old.. walked out in 2nd quarter came back later when the street lights came on.. my dad said you missed one of the best game hes ever seen in his life
We could not watch that game here because it was blacked out here in Buffalo but we were able to hear it on WGR 55 Am and later on I was able to get a VHS copy from Massachusetts so I can watch it.Somewhere in storage I still have that .
Dont feel bad. I had to listen to it on radio because it didnt sell out. Atleast it was Van miller calling games still. Imagine if van miller was still announcing now with von miller on the team!! 😁
Thanks this was the most in-depth editing I’ve ever had to do for a Bills vid. Taking the Van Miller 2+ hour radio call (with commercials) and finding each play and matching it to the video feed of the game was insane. I think I have PTSD lol but always wanted the Van call to the Comeback so I hope the mafia enjoys this one!
My brother and I were discussing whether to leave at the end of the first half. We stayed, but kept drinking the vodka/OJ mix in our thermoses. When Bubba McDowell scored, I turned to ask Bob if we could leave now, but he was already jumping up and announcing "You are about to see the greatest comeback in NFL history" to the people behind us. The handful people left behind shouted "Sit down. you drunkard", and I resigned myself to staying until the end. I have to say that was a pretty good call, especially considering his blood/alcohol content. We were in section M aisle 4 - not giving row and seat for paranoia reasons.
@@BuffaloBillsLand Sadly, he died a few years back - never would take of himself - but that was seriously quintessentially him. F' it - I'm here - I'm screaming for the Bills.
now this one I remember i was 13 years ago in grandma's room (had the big color t.v.) I went Crazy!!!!! mind you I'm from West philly..so..they didn't get it!
I was there in the end zone where all the scoring was going on. Not they did not put up the net on Christie’s ot FG the ball landed right on top of me. I lost the ball in a mad scramble.
I was wondering why the netting didnt go up. The football kicked into the stands. On that nights Sportscast, the sports anchor joked about who got the ball. Then he pulls it out and says he got it with a smirk.
Beebe fumbled in the third, and Houston recovered the ball. The next play, Beebe stepped out while running his run, then was the first to touch the ball on his TD catch. Had the refs done their job, who knows if the comeback happens. BTW, on the fumble, in today's game, it would have been called incomplete. Who knows, my Cowboys could have beaten the Raiders or Oilers in the SB that year instead of the Bills.

I heard a lot of people were hopping the fences to get back in.
@@markm.j.lewandowskijr1171 my dad and uncle were definitely two of them lmao.
THAT WILL NEVER GET OLD TO ME!!!!!!!! LET S GO BUFFALO!!!!!!
This is the game the secures my misery in loving this team. I was 9 years old. Wow
Listened to this game on the radio in my kitchen with my entire family. Such a great core memory as a young Bills fan.
Van Miller then Von Miller now. Its gotta be a sign!!
I'll never forget watching this with my Dad. One of my favorite Bills memories.
Watching this will never get old!
Always wanted to watch an extended version with the Van Miller call. It took forever to edit this one!

Greatest comeback over all time even though I wasn’t alive to see it

I was there and stayed for whole game after working all night
My heart!
The patriots needed two quarters to comeback from 28 we only needed one quarter to comeback from 35
I was there til the end
Right side of scoreboard in endzone! Still have ticket stub!
Well done. GO BILLS
I miss Van!
Awesome job on the video.New subsciber.
Thanks so much man!! Go BILLLLZ!!
NEVER GIVE UP NEVER SURRENDER, HARD TRAINING EASY GAMES...
THIS IS THE TIME FOR A HARD RUN.....
Nice vid
The announcer who was disappointed about the roughing the passer call would be awfully disappointed with today's game.

That game convinced me that Warren Moon wasn't an NFL championship caliber QB.

I miss van's enthusiasm
I really do too. He was magic.
Fond memories. Watched fuzzy feed of game picked up by antenna as was blacked out locally. Still love Frank Reich.
Nice I paced back and forth in my parents room listening lol.
The oilers had them beaten when they choked on that fumbled field goal.
What year was this?
1993 wild card.

Hahah 90s bills ladies ftw! There’s a super hot blonde in the 91 year book video… 🥵 lol

I think the Oilers might of defeated the cowboys in the Superbowl if they won this game.
I still get emotional watching this!🥲 Excellent job!
Me too haha. And thanks so much!
