Very few video's on here capture the true speed of the bikes as they go past , but this one does ! excellent bit of filming. Its a fantastic experience sitting miles out into the curcuit wating for the first bikes to come through , all earily quiet ! birds chirping ! the occasional was that a bike ? sound ! and then they blast through, awesome !!
I love this video, the sound makes you anticipate whats about to happen, and you are not disappointed. Einstein was right speed puts you in another dimension.
Great clear footage! For anyone interested in speeds through Gorse Lea bend, a radar gun recorded Steve Plater doing 171mph past our marshals' post on the left, during practice this year.
ITV4's coverage has been excellent this year, great slo mo shots, great commentary with Witham etc but none of their camera work gives any true sensation of the speed these guys are doing. You nailed it with this vid. Nice one mate.
On film that shows how incredibly fast they are going, but when you think about the fact that they are not only flat out but actually thinking ahead as they do it makes them seem super human!! If only i had the skill they do!!
I get teary eyes just by watching such a nice bend and amazing sounds... To think I'd only be comfortable taking that turn at 90mph max. I'm sure these guys are built and born for a different purpose than myself. /bow
I've bought, sold, ridden, repaired and raced two dozen motorcycles over the past 33 years, so I know a little. The Isle of Man has many wide-open stretches and long sweepers, where a Busa should have an advantage, but they still can't hang with a Honda Fireblade. Lap records for TT: Outright - Honda CBR1000RR (131.578 mph) TT Superbike - Honda CBR1000RR 130.442 mph Senior TT - Honda CBR1000RR 131.578 mph TT Superstock - Honda CBR1000RR 129.746 mph No Hayabusa on the list.
@trevmitchlover They start at 10 sec intervals. The race is with the clock and the course foremost then against the times of the other riders. If 2 riders are together then 1 or the other is 10 seconds or multiples of 10 ahead. Most top riders are flat out for the entire race but if they get a big time gap will back off enough to win or finish the race safely. Sometimes they back off to conserve fuel. The current S/B lap average is near 131.5 mph and top speed on Sulby straight 190 - 205 mph.
Holy ~@#' and mind my language, that's some serious movement right there!! That's a good patch to see 'em go by like that! I was watchin' the TT 'bout 2 years ago broadcasted and the helicopter above taking footage could not keep up with them machines on the straights. Thanks for sharing. 5*z.
Nice camera work - and the camera always makes it look slower than it actually is when your there on the day --- Think i am going to have to go one year to watch this aw sum race
A lot of riders on sportbike here in SOCAL think there fast. They ride a sportbike for couple of years and think there special. Those people need to watch this video. GREAT VIDEO by the way.
kin amazing,,, saw the 2011 manx gp at that place and I nearly crapped my pants with horror at the speed those guys were going . kin unreal. it makes moto gp look like crap. cant wait to go next year.... talk about make an old man happy

This video is AWESOME !!! I have the volume turned up all the way for that sweet sweet sound. These guys have balls of steel to ride like that.
The fact that I have been racing for years does nothing against the amazement I feel watching this video. This is bad ass big time!!!
I have never seen such an impression of speed captured on video. This is INCREDIBLE!
Thanks for posting.

This video conveys speed better than the television coverage! MotoGP should be shot like this! All the motorsports should be shot like this!
Nice!
Brilliant video!! Ive watched it again and again and again! Fair play to the TT riders, they really do have some skill and balls!
Jo3yB7...must compliment you on the clip.
Excellent job on the sound AND location. Keep up the good work.

Good video! When you see the at that speed it makes you realize how good these guys are! Not that many people in the world with the balls for the TT

The sound on this clip is amasing!Crank it it up to 10,as high as it goes, and you might just get an idear of how fast these guys are going?
Also, Hutchy clocked 164mph, but the majority were in the 140+ or 130+ zone.
I just watched this 16 times in a row :)

@incarnation316 might look like that to you but it is a 150 mph corner. Its mental but true
superbe video et super piloteee powaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!!!!
Check out the Steve Plater onboard laps and he does this corner in 6th on a Superbike. It's at least 150mph. Maybe more like 170mph?
This is insane! How are they even able to handle the bikes at such speed?
this video is amazing!
Ahhhh! so awesome! I want to be there.
NICE!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
@satyex of course , i've watch the dakar cars at 100 mph or less and they were a lighting

F**K Me Drunk!!! I had no idea they went that fast!!
Those dudes got Balls to ride that circuit without any safety devices.
@CHOPERUS23 There are more U.S. fans of the TT than you may think. In any event that is consider a "bend" and not a "corner" over here.
this video really puts it into the light of just how dangerous this place is... you tuck a front wheel here, you die. Period.
Unreal m8. Wish i was there.
Vevy very nice video!!!! congratulatios!!
