So what do you think? Was this video edited to your liking or should I make it longer and more detailed. As always let me know if there are any question and I will gladly answer. Thanks for watching and I hope to see you at the next one.
FANTASTIC DIY!!!! This is the stand I realllllly want but I do not have carpentry skills or the power tools to go with them, hence the block ones that I make. I love your level of detail and pro tips in order to avoid cracking the wood, accuracy, etc. great job! So awesome that you got some assistance by a Master Carpenter! Better pay him a good wage :)
OnefishTwofishROC sometimes you can get hardware stores to cut the wood for you and then you would just have to handsaw the dado joints. Cut list is in the description. This master carpenter you speak of is way overpaid and eats all my food 😂. Oh and I love your painted stands, much better then bare block.
I really enjoyed watching your video. It was the first time watching your channel and even tho I was used to other youtubers stile I really like the content in this video I will definitely be subscribing and looking at the rest of your videos keep it up! And thanks for what you do for the hobby!
@@AquaApprentice Every little helps. It will add to you watch time hours. A good bit the more people that add to it the better because we shear watch time 😊
Awesome video, you did a great job and I'm glad you included your helper. Do you have an update video on the rack? Anything you would change? Any issues with no middle leg?
David H thanks. I will tell him he’s a TH-cam star 😁. No update videos unfortunately but I may drop a random vid at some point here. It’s been great so far even without the middle leg. I did anchor it to the wall just in case considering it’s not a very wide rack.
Well maybe you can get your local hardware store to precut the wood at the lengths needed. Then you would probably have to handsaw the dado joints if you are uncomfortable with power tools. After that’s done it’s pretty easy.
I gotta build a double 75 and have never built anything before..lol kinda stressing but ,hey you gotta learn somehow right!? Hey hit me up if you are ever in Pensacola FL area!??! Tour the fishroom? Great job on the build , turned out great!✌️☮️🐟
Haha yea I have made a lot of mistakes before learning how to things right so I think you have the right attitude and need to just go for it. Just be careful with power tools if your unfamiliar with them. Awesome! A local, we have a lot of good fish keepers out here.
nice looking project & now repeat process ;). I like the design only would have added a middle vertical brace matching the ends, but probably no need just a thought nice job. is your garage floor level or pitched? cant wait for the next rack, later
Valley Fish don’t think the vertical brace in the middle is necessary. I left it off because I like the look slightly better. When I do one for larger tanks I won’t risk not having it. Garage is not level but I just threw some shims under the rack to level it out. Great talking to ya, on to the next rack 😁
I have kept the racks under 6’ long and from other fish rooms I have seen they can be longer and still handle the weight. So far so good and it doesn’t even appear to bow at all.
Joe's Fish Garage so I will be making another video of the insulation I will be adding. Winter has been more of a challenge than expected so I will definitely be insulating that garage door.

Props to the best helper !!!! 🙏
I miss $3 2x4’s!! This video is great. Thank you!
Nice build. The end result looks great, and the process was easy to follow. Your kid is a great little helper too!
CubbysAquatics thanks I am happy with it. My son asked to be in the video and I can’t say no. He was actually a big help though so it was worth it.
Good job Frank. Glad to see your helper was doing a good job as well.
William Shields yup he was a great assistant and loves being on my videos. Thanks Bill

Real good rack build video with some good points.
High five for the wee helper.
Your assistant did some great work! Reminds me of our projects over here
I just saw the best video of your kid feeding the sheep. It’s fun to have them around, keeps it interesting.
@@AquaApprentice it was actually a goat lol did you have the sound on? Really makes the clip haha
Yes and it easy to mix up LOL.
Added to my DIY for fish keepers , great job brother !!!! ✌💕
AquariumCop YES! honored to make it to the list. Mic drop
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Happy Fish Keeping!
Thanks DBachelor
Good thing you had a helper. 😃 He put his work in.
😂😂 yes he did. Normally a lot of just getting distracted but this time he stuck to it.
You do beautiful work. I like that you left plenty of room above each tank. Great build!👌
NYGOLD thanks, it looked like to much space at first but then I thought if I want to add rocks in and such I need the room to get them in.

Don Nguyen glad you found it helpful. Hope you get some nice racks up.
Dope video brother

Good stuff man, love this stands, same thing I use
Slavin Family Zoo best plan I could find that are sturdy, cheap, and space saving.
It's good man grate job. Looking nice in the colour you stand it. 😊👍👏👊
JustMyFish thanks, stain really didn’t take long so I will definitely do it to all my tanks.

Will this type hold the weight of a 37 gallon tank?
CLETPAS Production I hold 2-40’s this same way so should be fine
Ok ty

do you have any concerns with water weight on the horizontal 2x4s?
I have kept the racks under 6’ long and from other fish rooms I have seen they can be longer and still handle the weight. So far so good and it doesn’t even appear to bow at all.
You insulating that garage door? Heating my garage fishroom can be challenging. I am going to building a room my garage to deal with that.
Joe's Fish Garage so I will be making another video of the insulation I will be adding. Winter has been more of a challenge than expected so I will definitely be insulating that garage door.
Joe's Fish Garage also the room is a great idea I just can’t do it or I could be fined by my HOA. Think it should be ok without though.
When 2x4s were only $3 ea!
Was great apart from you didn't show the end result ! You showed us you staining it then nothing.. but great job
Sorry about that i have a newer video you can check out that will show it. But you are right that I should have shown it here.
