  • Full investigation of HOW Paul Bogle "BECAME" Thomas Jennings. I am going to prove with 100% certainty that the man in the photo is NOT Thomas Jennings and cannot possibly be Thomas Jennings. I'm also going to show WHERE this portrait actually comes from, WHO the original owner was, HOW it became Thomas Jennings, WHEN it happened and WHO is responsible for it.

Maybe so, but she said Paul Bogle fought for qoute "fair treatment of all Jamaicans" which definitely incorrect. Don't believe me then read Paul Bogles book. Yes he wrote and was calling to arms all black people in the spectrum of who know today as black people. Not sure if he also included mixed race, mulatto or whatever they tended to call children born to the slave owner or white overseers. Remember Bogle lived after the freeing of black slaves and there was a pronounced cast system. Remember a lot Indians and Pakistanes wirked in the coloniall administrational systemy of commerce. Here's a qoute from his book "Skin For Skin". "Every black man must turn out at once, for the oppression is too great; the white people are now cleaning up they guns for us”. Now correct me please if I'm wrong.

Why do I smile from ear to ear watching your contents? I usually find anything remotely close to a documentary, the least bit entertaining, but not when you do it. 😂 I respect your thoroughness and how you go about all your researches and I especially love that it is all about Jamaica 😊. I remember being sent this controversy recently by my sister who is living in America, and I was telling her I never believe anything on the internet especially if it's controversial because by my nature I would want to do some extensive research myself the garner my own opinion. She was awarded 2 months ago at an award ceremony in Miramar Florida along with other accomplished Jamaicans, including Rory from the sound system “ Stone Love “ She resembles the photo of who we Jamaicans know as Paul Bogle . Thank you for sharing! Kindly note, the living descendants of Paul Bogle cannot possibly have last name Bogle, because all of them are descendants of Paul Bogle's daughter, whose last name via marriage was Clarke. So, if you see a person who has last name Bogle - it's almost guaranteed they are not directly related to Paul Bogle. They might be related to his brother - Moses Bogle or most likely they come from a different line of Bogles.

@@lorrainenelson2484 Paul Bogle had 2 children. Cecelia Bogle (born in 1841) and William Bogle (born in 1845). William was hanged in 1865 together with Paul Bogle. However, William had a son, Nathaniel Bogle (grandson of Paul Bogle). However, the only descendant who survived after Nathaniel was Phillip Bogle, who died in 1990s. That's it. No more Bogles from the side of Paul Bogle's son.
However, Paul Bogles daughter had many descendants, because her son had 13 children, all had last name Clarke. The land that belonged to Paul Bogle still belongs to a person named Felix Clarke, who was the grandson of Paul Bogle. Felix died a long time ago, but the title for the land is still in his name I have the title for his land and I have the original documents from RGD for ALL Paul Bogle's descendants. There are no more living direct descendants of Paul Bogle with last name Bogle. There are lots of people with last name Bogle who came from a different line of Bogles though and also there might be some after Paul Bogle's brother, Moses Bogle.

Jamaican history is extremely rich and I love that about my country but there was a reason Edna Manley didn’t use the photo for the monument even though she knew about it, I’d also go as far to say there were doubts before the first release of the photo which is the reason for the delay and the fact that the original is now missing is mind blowing to me.

Irina, I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the incredible amount of research you put into your videos. As a fellow Jamaican, it's truly inspiring to see how dedicated you are to dispelling myths and presenting all viewers with factual information.
I did notice a recurring error in your presentations, though, and I thought it would be helpful to bring it to your attention. In English, it's important to include articles when referring to decades. Instead of saying "in 1950s" or "in 1970s," we should use the correct form, which is "in the 1950s" or "in the 1970s." It might seem like a small detail, but it can make a big difference in terms of linguistic accuracy.
I genuinely admire your dedication to research, and I encourage you to continue the fantastic work you do in promoting Jamaica on the world stage. Your videos are informative, engaging, and truly help to shape a more accurate understanding of our beautiful country. Thank you for your hard work, and I look forward to your future content.

Irina as a jamaican and someone who is into history of the island I salute you for a job well done. Jamaicans needed this after so many years of this confusion. How could the Jamaican government turned a blind eye to this.

Wow! Mr Ogilvie of Wentworth High School was my extra-lesson Math teacher in the 1966-67. He was a good teacher indeed...

Ah great! Here is a question: What is the correct pronunciation of his name? Ogilvie - stress on the first syllable (O) or the second ("gil")?

Girl why they don’t give you your own show on the local channel is beyond me. Is it still JBC? Your videos are super informative for me as Jamaican living abroad.

Thank you Irina for putting out the correct information for our Jamaican history and misinformation and identity of our National hero Paul Bogle. Irina big up your nice clean self. Much respect.
