I am so happy I saw your comment before I heard that part because I would not have had any idea what they were saying! It even sounded like they were going “bowling” 😂
Leanne I just love listening to you. My husband and I are country folk too. In fact his aunt and uncle, Frank and Mockie Cox lived near Adams TN. I’m 58 and live outside Portland in Sumner County TN. Both sets of my grandparents were farmers and I grew up helping garden, can and preserve food. You deserve all the success you’ve worked so hard for all these years. You’re someone I really admire and look up to. Keep up the wonderful work 🥰💕👏👏👏
Grew up in the south, but spent the last twenty years in Minnesota, and hotdish is for sure a thing here. Right after I moved here, the second thing people would ask me when they met me (after "Where are you from?") was, "Have you had hotdish yet?" Best as I can tell, is random choice: meat, veg, and tater tots in a casserole dish topped with cream of soup. Twenty years and counting and I've still never had hotdish, but I'm going to try it one of these days!
Leanne, I’m a new subscriber after watching several YT shorts and laughing until I cried 😂 you wear some of the cutest clothes, especially dresses and tops.would love to know where you shop.
This was absolutely fantastic. Love these two and with them together was pure happiness. Brought back so many memories growing up in the 60's. Always watching and learning from my grannies in the kitchen. Despite being a hard working dad, I made sure my 3 kids had a hot meal every evening and holiday meals that I used to eat. Thank you all for this wonderful video. ❤️
This is one of the best “cooking”videos I’ve ever seen … the way to anyone’s heart is through the tummy … and food = love! You two ladies are the best … and I don’t know whose house this was filmed in, but it’s gorgeous, however, not as beautiful as you lovely ladies. Take care and God bless you both and your families too!
This was fun to watch! Thank you! My Mama’s side were farmers from TX. We always had a can of bacon grease next to our stove. A big pot of pinto beans was one of my favorites!! Need to go buy some cream of celery soup because I have a few old recipes that call for it. 😳🤗🤗
Where is the sage or poultry seasoning, Lucille? And the chicken gravy? But those biscuits are really the secret ingredient. Thanks for sharing. Southern girls cooking southern food, it’s the best!
Sweet Leanne!! Just saw a clip of you on Dr. Phil, so funny, and I LOVED your bangs!! Bring those back and maybe a little ends cut w level blunt cut... with beach curls... Baby Girl can do it. Much love!!!
Oh yes, this Minnesotan grew up calling it hot dish….or, even funeral hot dish. My mom had one recipe she used when cooking for funerals; so, if we were getting some, she let us know dinner was funeral hot dish. 😂
Oh, I just love you both!! I identify with Leanne, because we come from the same people…♥️ Sending love and wishes for continuing success and most importantly , happiness!
Haaaa, wot a fun vid..poor darling leanne is jst thinkn " i so gona use this in my next comedy material" in the nicest possible way😇..but,wot a lovely gal that chef is, we love her❤
Love fun cooking, they’re great. Bay leaves, in stews & soups should be removed, they won’t go down your throat bc of the texture-like reverse fish scales. Don’t know about baking. The recipe is very similar to mine. I use 1/2 biscuit &1/2 cornbread. Poultry seasoning only-too much causes heartburn. I add raw eggs & chopped boiled eggs. To pour in baking pan, should be like cake batter, a little help needed w a spoon. I had trouble w dryness/texture at first. Georgia Tip: mix cornbread & biscuit ingredients together: Sr Corn meal, sr flour, oil, eggs, buttermilk/milk - pour into 9x13 bake on 425 deg. No need to cook breads separately. Some ppl use rolls or loaf bread for biscuit.
Loved this video!! Reminds me of my mom, sisters and aunts sitting around the dinner table after we fed all the men and kids! 😂 That’s when the fun began! Actually that’s how I learned about the facts of life🤦🏻 Those women could be cutthroat! Now I’m one of the aunts and I love embarrassing my nieces😂😳😂
Leanne, you are such wonderful breath of fresh air. I love your comedy. God bless you and your family. Oh by the way your visit to the cowboy cook was very good.
We called my momma’s grandma nanny also. And this dressing is so close to my mamas (grandma). I’m gonna start making dressing more often, instead of just holidays.
People in the north “don’t understand” saving and using bacon fat? What are you talking about? Loads of us do it. Also, we midwesterners most definitely call it a casserole. She was cracking me up with all of those assumptions and misconceptions. Even in the city, we cook from scratch, make jelly, “put by” food from our large garden, sew, etc etc etc. And my better half comes from a looong line of farmers. Anyhoo, looking forward to making Lucille’s recipe - but with seasoning!😉💜
😮😮😮😮ladies! I feel like I have had an epiphany. I can’t open any jars or pick up a heavy pot. My thumbs are sore and really weak and it’s stupid menopause 😅😢. I used to be strong too and able to open jars my dad couldn’t . I was known for it. I just can’t believe it is the menopause.
I hate to admit it but I still keep a box of "Little Debbie Oatmeal Cookies w/Creme centers" in my pantry cuz 'my boys' still like them [each in their late 20s & each w/a beautiful wife & a little boy of their own] 😂🫠
Leanne is the funniest thing on two legs. Lord, I love that woman!!
Have not spent in excess of 12 seconds listening to a cooking program before. Each of these women is a great personality.
LMFAO yup
Leanne is on my bucket list to go see her show
Love Leanne. She reminds me of women that I grew up with and also went to church with.
Leanne and her story telling is humor at its best.
Leanne is number 1 to me also, she is hysterical!
I love how they say "bowl" for "boil" LOL
Not so much bowl as it is more "bawl"
I am so happy I saw your comment before I heard that part because I would not have had any idea what they were saying! It even sounded like they were going “bowling” 😂
My mother also said "arsh" (Irish) potatoes, and we're also from Irish ancestry.
I started giggling at that part too, and instantly thought of how my dad used to say borrowed; it sounded like "beeyareed". 😄
Leanne is the best and I can't help but love her and hope to have friends just like her someday!

I love story time with Leeanne!

Anything in a casserole dish is amazing. My favorite comfort food.

❤ Wouldn't a clothes design line by Leanne be fun. 😊

This is southern dressing. Never heard of this before but it looks delicious.😊

Love you Mrs. Leanne!
Oh, you too! I soooo enjoyed watching this visit! Please do meet up again sometime! Ya'll are so much fun to watch! Thank you for sharing!
Listening to Elizabeth say at THE Kroger’s just cracked me up 😂😂
I just love it when they say to bowl the celery.
Where is the sage or poultry seasoning, Lucille? And the chicken gravy? But those biscuits are really the secret ingredient. Thanks for sharing. Southern girls cooking southern food, it’s the best!
The recipe is in the description/info for this video. Sage and poultry seasoning are listed as ingredients.
I imagine it takes a lot to shock Miss LeAnne, but burying the ruined cake so no one would see it sure did it.❤ 😂❤😂❤😅❤
When Leanne said Karen Mills is her opener, I thought now that is a match made in heaven! Please come to Everett, washington! Be well!
Sweet Leanne!! Just saw a clip of you on Dr. Phil, so funny, and I LOVED your bangs!! Bring those back and maybe a little ends cut w level blunt cut... with beach curls... Baby Girl can do it. Much love!!!

And Norwegian Funeral Salad! You know, jello, marshmallows, kool whip, etc.
Both of you are incredible!!! Thanks for keeping my attention & making me laugh 😂.
Loving you ladies! I'm a Southern momma with my bacon grease jar and my Nannie's recipes, especially her spoonbread! I can't wait to make this!
The two of you together are a hoot!😂😂
Oh, I just love you both!!
I identify with Leanne, because we come from the same people…♥️
Sending love and wishes for continuing success and most importantly , happiness!
My favorite person ever was my Nanny. She was Lucille too! Lucille's are the best!!
Haaaa, wot a fun vid..poor darling leanne is jst thinkn " i so gona use this in my next comedy material" in the nicest possible way😇..but,wot a lovely gal that chef is, we love her❤
I’m from Australia so all of this kind of cooking is a bit strange … but it looks wonderful !!! 😊😊😊
EVERYONE go watch Leanne in the movie " Sun Moon"! She's so wonderful.
Love fun cooking, they’re great.

Now us country folks have giblet gravy with our dressing and cranberry sauce.
Elizabeth, when you wrote out the recipe you didn’t put how much CHICKEN !!🐓
LOL love Leanne, she makes my day. This looks yummy ladies xo
Leanne, you are such wonderful breath of fresh air. I love your comedy. God bless you and your family. Oh by the way your visit to the cowboy cook was very good.
I just love Leanne Morgan she is so funny
That recipe is very close to my Cornbread Dressing that this Texan has converted many friends in Michigan to the southern way😊
We called my momma’s grandma nanny also. And this dressing is so close to my mamas (grandma). I’m gonna start making dressing more often, instead of just holidays.
Love you both!!!💗💗
@@laurieg2436 hello there Laurie, is that really you on your profile photo? Wow!
I absolutely love the jellied cranberry. Poo on the fresh cranberry. Lol. This was hilarious.
Put dried cranberries in your dressing, it's delicious! Also, adding some coconut milk to your sweet potato casserole is amazing!!
🤮
This dish is often served at Thanksgiving. Cranberries are a side dish. I guess that’s why dried cranberries are left out.
This New Englander understands saving the bacon fat. I don't know anyone who didn't have a bacon can in the fridge.
Do you know they now sale containers of bacon grease at krogers?? I was shocked when i saw it.
This is great! I need her to explain some of my great grandmothers recipies because they were really incredible but when I make em they are just OK.
Great show! From Utah, and we love a good casserole!

No we don’t, it‘s hot dish.
@@Beastiboo Well then, I guess some of us do and some of us don’t.
Your bowlin!!! Lol girls!
I always thought my grandma was saying "ice" potatoes when I was little.
My mother-in-law BOILED the Thanksgiving turkey😳😂
The grocery doesn’t sell Jello Coconut Cream Pudding anymore…only Amazon!
I swear ya'll are my sisters from another Mr.!
I call my mama by her first name just like Leanne ❤ It’s a Southern thing 🎉
I didn't know my grandmother was saying Irish potatoes. it sounded like another language. LMBO
How in the world are you going to California, Utah, Colorado but skipping Arizona?!
♥️♥️♥️♥️…LeAnne !
Nothin says loving like sumthin from the oven...😘
Did she say that she would bury it, if It didn't work out?
"Life is short.
We could die tomorrow.
Shouldn't we be eating dressing."
T-shirts.????
Southern cooking? Say no more! 🥧
How do I get the recipe?
Grace Under Fire in that flannel shirt
Ladies, just wrap a rubber band around the rim of the jar and open as usual. The rubber band provides traction and it will be easier.
❤
I love this is woman
Is she on your now? I just discovered her . I've watched her vids she has on here . I want to see more
Are you sure no eggs? I put eggs in my dressing. And what seasoning did you use?
😂😂😂😂❤️
Where is the sage?
I don’t see chicken in the ingredients and I didn’t hear them say how much. Does anyone know?
I love this video ❤.. the cameraman’s ADHD affected my vision 😢
Does anyone add cornbread to their glass of milk at dinner???
Daddy put cornbread in his buttermilk and acted like it was a delicacy
@@Sanity_FaireMine did too and no way would I touch it! Ever.😂
ARSH potatoes
And “sweet milk” in case you might think buttermilk …
Bang the side of the lid and jar will open easily.
I’m glad y’all didn’t have gravy! I’m not a gravy girl.
Doesn’t look good 😅
I’d rather have a cheeseburger 🍔 😊
Take out the music please. It didn't need it. So annoying.
Boy-ell, not bowl.
I hate to admit it but I still keep a box of "Little Debbie Oatmeal Cookies w/Creme centers" in my pantry cuz 'my boys' still like them [each in their late 20s & each w/a beautiful wife & a little boy of their own] 😂🫠
Is this recipe written down anywhere? I can’t wait to try it! 🩷
Perfection ladies😁❤🙏
