    Hi,
    Thanks for doing this small vlog Jon. Some observations.
    1. Applied a lot of product first time round. You'll find that using around a quarter of what you used and thin coats is much more effective. You'll still be able to treat the whole tyre.
    2. The dry time depends on the tyre. Some rubber compounds absorb more of the product and some less. We recommend applying the first coat then an hour later, apply the second coat. Then you can level it off to your desired look or apply more.
    3. Do not force dry the product. The reason for this is that you have to allow time for the polymers inside the formula to migrate into the rubber.
    4. Longevity is very good even against traditional dressings. We've had customers report hundreds of miles of use and all the tyre needed was a pressure wash and a light clean. It didn't need redressing. This of course depends on many many factors as to the performance so we'll leave it to the users to comment.
    If I missed a question I'll pop in with another comment.

      @@humbledgentileimage4448 can't speak for plastic trim but it is excellent on other rubber surfaces - door and window seals benefit particularly well, especially as we approach the warmer, dryer conditions of the summertime! 👍🏼

      @@SparkleanAutos that’s a brilliant idea thank you! I was going to be looking for a dedicated rubber seal conditioner this year, would be a massive bonus if I don’t have to now I’ve ordered GT serum.

    I've had the tyre serum on 2 vehicles for sometime now, 2 coats were applied 1hr apart as per instructions on the bottle, all I do now as part of the maintenance wash is use an old wash mitt to wipe over the tyres and they come up brilliantly every time. The tyres have had a top up with the serum only twice and probably didn't really need it. It's probably the best tyre product that I've used in a very long time, and I've used a helluva lot with no fling either.
    As a side note it really good on exterior plastics,I've got a little c1 test car and it's still working brilliantly on the rear bumper and front grille plus the mirrors also I would advise to wear gloves as with most tyre dressings it can get a little messy once the applicator has been loaded a few times.

    Jon, A HAIR DRIER ?????? really, what do you need a hair dryer for 🤣. I have had Serum on my tyres for a couple of months now and it blows me away. It is without doubt the best product I have ever applied to my tyres. No more scrubbing the tyres clean. All I do now is use GT one wheel shampoo with a mitt and the tyre comes up great every time. I know it's only April but my money is on this being my product of the year.

    It’s a great product 👍🏻
    It’s even better 12hrs later,
    Once dry, either satin (better than new look)
    Or
    Apply 2nd coat for gloss finish.
    You choice 😏 5⭐️

    its a genuinely different and genuinely excellent product............ if anyones not tried it then they are missing out.
    the only tyre "dressing" which i can use, drive 1000 miles in all weathers and it still looks good, even before theyve been cleaned... the trick is to really clean the tyres the first time, then apply 2 coats... but when you wash it next time, dont go blasting it with APC and a brush stiff enough to scrape the road with, ... like cleansing and it springs back to life

    Both sides while they are off if it's a moisturizer wouldn't hurt I guess, you can't see it I know but if it might prolong the tyre life on a car you use less?

    With regards to testing this you could just remove the tyre after a year and compare the inside tyre wall with the outside tyre wall. Untreated vs treated. Simples!

    It’s like you’ve said before, John. You only usually dress the outside, so dressing the tyre to save cracking won’t work when you consider the inside wall barely gets attention

      If you observe where tyres begin to dry out and crack it’s always on the sidewall of the tyre not the central section so the product does makes sense (if it can actually do what it claims).

    GT Tyre Serum is a great product as far as I see and I hope I can get my hands on a bottle soon. I just wish someone would ship GT products to Ireland for a reasonable price :) How is the look compare to CP Perl? That's what I currently prefer, however I know Tyre Serum is not a dressing, it's a conditioner. Thanks for the video Jon. Cheers

      its dark and satin borderline gloss but not like wet gloss. there is a small oily film over the tyre but Ive not had any problems with it when I use it seems to last ok. I personally dont worry about durability because they all need redressing so I want something I can hurl on that looks half decent and Im a happy man.

    • @randomd6r
      @randomd6r 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SparkleanAutos they all make the tyre look tidy, and have good durability, so I think the comparison is valid.
      Obviously the USP of Tyre Serum is that it's a tyre conditioner and not just a dressing, a feature that does seem to attract a lot of pedants.
      To be convinced that conditioners matter, I'd need to see a 50:50 of a (Hankook) tyre that Tyre Serum has half saved from perishing.

    • @SparkleanAutos
      @SparkleanAutos 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@randomd6r you could say the same about any detailing product really, couldn't you? Does any of it matter? Modern cars will, typically speaking, be retired for mechanical reasons LONG before the bodywork let's it down, yet as detailers we, typically, prioritise the bodywork... So whether it 'matters' is for each individual to decide.
      When we compare products, however, I would suggest we compare products with a similar purpose - I wouldn't test a glass cleaner against a glass sealant... So why test a tyre conditioner against a tyre dressing? It's not pedantic, it's logical.
