Cost of a decent container, transportation, and disinfection aren't cheap. Plus the added costs of insulating and adding expensive reinforcement for any cutouts. And if you do, it kinda defeats the structure of a container van and won't be much different from a brick/cement house just slap some roofing sheets on the exterior wallm

I think one of the very important you need to include in your presentation is the hygiene of the shipping container in terms of bio-security risk, as you all know, there are shipping container used for carrying toxic materials meaning there should a hi-grade disinfection, but over-all, I agree with you that this is one economical way to build a dream house, We even promote shipping container for swimming pool and for business establishment such as mobile coffee shop in case you want to change places.

Container houses is not really that much popular in the Philippines. 200k is just for the container itself. Insulation, foundation, transporting to site and other materials and labor not included. There's also the issue of structural integrity when you cut side parts for windows etc. You need to add support beams since the walls are just metal sheet. There's also space-constraint as you'll only have 8ft wide floor space no matter how long the container you get. The insulation will also be a problem esp that we get really hot weather here in the Philippines. If you're not doing a "travelling home" style and just like to build home on a lot, it would still be practical to build with normal construction materials. But we're all entitled to do whatever we want, so do whatever

Mura nga po ang convan ang problema kang dito ay ang access na paglalagyan hindi lahat ay maaccess ng boomtruck/crane/trailer truck. Plus the fact na baka mas mahal pa yung rent mo sa boomtruck/crane/trailer sa pagtatransport ng convan kaysa dun sa mismong cost or pagbili ng convan

Mura nga po ang convan ang problema kang dito ay ang access na paglalagyan hindi lahat ay maaccess ng boomtruck/crane/trailer truck. Plus the fact na baka mas mahal pa yung rent mo sa boomtruck/crane/trailer sa pagtatransport ng convan kaysa dun sa mismong cost or pagbili ng convan

Container house is just a hype. If you factor in all the costs, 200k php isn't enough for a safe and comfortable dwelling. Cost of a decent container, transportation, and disinfection aren't cheap. Plus the added costs of insulating and adding expensive reinforcement for any cutouts. If you don't do the latter then you'll risk living in a coffin and defeats the argument of container strength. And if you do, it won't be much different from a brick/cement house just slap some roofing sheets on the exterior walls. What we need are better building practices that scales up that includes mechanization.

Sure this is more expensive than normal built of houses using wood and cement. Pero this container van could live better with earthquake, storm and flood. Not sure about fire.
