@@aerofxunme It's all good. I am suffering from a progressive neural muscular disease and lately it has played up, draining energy, making it harder to control the chronic neural pain, and increasingly deformed my hands due to wasting muscles. At the moment, I try to focus on getting back onto stable ground, recharge, recover, and regain control over the pains and aches. I hope to be back soon!
I was born with it. It's my normal... and no there is no cure for it. But hey, it's a little like playing the game of life in 'hard mode' with some added challenges. ;)
I got quite a lot of text effects and etc libraries in Illustrator. I wish I could transfer those to affinity to make the switch once for once. How do I save these styles after I make them in Affinity to be reused later?
You can try and open the files in Affinity Designer but most likely a lot of functions and effects are missing or handled differently between the two tools and the results might not be ideal. As for saving, seeing they are stacked effects and not just a single layer with one set of effects [which could be saved as a style] in my opinion, it's easiest to make a simple text and save each style as a separate file [in a dedicated sub-folder].
Yes... but you can't create symbols in photo - which make them easier to edit. You would need to work with duplicated text - editing each text separately. Importing the Affinity Designer files work fine though - as symbols are support [just can't be created as far as I know].
@@2dgameartguru do you sell designs on microstock sites? if you do, are there any trick effects that are accepted on microstock sites? if not, do you have any youtube channel recommendations?
I don't sell... I give my stuff away for free... I had to retire due to progressive health issues and all I do now is for fun and fun only. Sorry, I don't watch any youtube channels - I just make videos and help beginners on social media.
It's an intermediate tutorial which requires some knowledge of the tool and it's functions [especially the fx and grouping and stacking them]. Download the files [link in the description] and check them out. Which part(s) don't you understand?
Thanks Chris when I have time I’ll try and replicate it on the iPad… when I have time 😢. Tutorial is much appreciated!
You are welcome! Let me know how it goes. Sadly I couldn't test on the ipad after mine died and a new one currently is not in the budget.
Thanks for the wealth of knowledge you're sharing. Please continue.
Thank you, I will... I am just having a bad run with progressive health issues ;(
@@2dgameartguruI'm sorry to hear that, here's wishing to get well soon. If there's anything we can do for you please don't hesitate to ask.

@@2dgameartguru I'm so sorry, this condition has no cure?

Great technique !
One thing i noticed is, you dont seem to use the Depth slider on the Bevel FX. Any specific reason ?
Probably because it's locked by default... I will play with it in the next video. ;)
Really nice, thanks for the video.
You are welcome! I am glad you liked it!

Hello from Panama!. Can you make a video creating a carousel for Instagram and how to export it? Please.
I am not using Instagram that much... I will look into it... but it should be a matter of artboards, symbols, and export persona.
Can this technique be sold on adobestock?
That depends on the fonts you use. It's not compatible with Adobe products but works only in Affinity Designer.
