I understand what you're doing except for the symbol part. I don't understand how to make something a symbol or how to use in multiples. Can you explain that?
Check out the videos on symbols I recorded a while back: th-cam.com/video/XEhoXUNDYY4/w-d-xo.html and this one th-cam.com/video/AVoExA4zvW4/w-d-xo.html and this is fun to play with th-cam.com/video/WxNntynlDuw/w-d-xo.html while this explains a bit what you can do with the synchronization of symbols th-cam.com/video/qjkNB1DR35E/w-d-xo.html
Hello Guru! Could this be done in Inkscape? I started out with Inkscape and am learning every day, considering myself still a novice. So I am hesitant to learn another vector program at the same time. What is your advice? Because I think this masking technique could be very useful for me.
You can mask and clip with clones just the same. If you have more than one, you have to put them in a group. With masking you must follow the white reveals and black conceals principle.
This is the "out of the box" thinking that I'm interested in exploring with Designer. Thanks for sharing this discovery.
You are welcome... this was just too much fun not to share ;)
Thanks Chris! Another excellent video!
Glad you enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun with this one... :)
genius-level !
Thanks... I was surprised it worked and even more amazed how far you can take it ;)
