I'll repeat this again for those who didn't watch the whole video, this is not a video to disrespect the developers in anyway but more so to bring awareness to the current state of the game and spark conversation within the community about our concerns for the games future.

Speaking as a hardcore fan with over 6000 hours in the game, I'm happy with the update. Hunt is the only game that scratches my FPS/extraction shooter itch. Call of Duty and other modern FPS shooters simply lack the same level of immersion. The problem is that Crytek are trying to appeal to the wrong audience. They want to bring in console and casual gamers but the reality is that the game is a hardcore shooter. By over promising with their promises of a "new era" and under delivering on the UI, they've shot themselves in the foot. If they just kept the old UI and gave us the new map everything would be fine. People are expecting too much from something that should have stayed in a niche segment of the market where the game belongs.
Great video. I'm actually really enjoying the update, though. As a console player, the UI update was helpful. The single map is getting repetitive, but I have not noticed major bugs like some have. Maybe it's because I'm not grinding for hours every single day, more of a weekend warrior I guess, so there's that. Too early to panic, I would say. Really hope folks don't jump ship.
Also a console player here, still trying to figure out how the new UI is and upgrade or helpful for console 😂 the new UI is more buggy and slow, and just as clunky as the previous one. Only they’ve introduced new bugs and made things slower with this new UI.
I already jumped ship. I played the day after release, I hated the UI, couldnt figure out for ages how to invite my friend, performance is worse, my friends game crashed twice during the game we played. So now I'm playing Deadlock instead

Can't say I relate to most of your complaints. I like the idea of tournaments and generally brainstorming new ways of breathing life into the game but beyond that I'm pretty happy. Haven't even gotten tired of the new map yet. Most of the issues I had (e.g map freezing) were fixed quickly post-update.
Yes i agree with you! I feel like that most of the complaints are coming from people that are playing this gam non stop and have like 2k hours. I do have some issues with this update but overall its good. New map is the best map that they made, New boss is fun and easy to kill while not worrying that someone will shoot you like with fighting the rotjaw. Sniping became very fun bcs of a new map. Yes, UI is bad and i agree with community about that. Yes there were bugs that would crash your game while opening the map but they have been fixed. I just dont understand why people are review bombing this game. It doesn't help in any way and the only that it does is scaring new players away.
@@olewer1612i play a lot of times like 3 games only a day. And there are times I experience game breaking bugs all the 3 times. And yes, even with restarting and such. They not always happen to me but my friends. But I do. That is not normal. I have strong but mid pc while my friends have high end. So even performance should not be an issue at all. Yes, I am gonna leave a megative review on the game exactly to scare people away cuz it is there for that. This game is at points (not all the time ofc) unplayable. And that is just the peak of the iceberg, nobody is even talking about balance issues. I would never recommend for someone to spend money on a game I can’t play becuz there are so many bugs and issues with no communication. Don’t spend money on a half baked cake no matter how good it is supposed to be. If you play less that does not mean the game is good, you are coping because it haven’t happened enough times to you.
The performance issue is huge and is pushing a lot of players away. Graphically it is nothing crazy looking, yet you need a super computer to run above medium settings and keep a playable frame rate.
This is my favorite video game to play, the battle pass was meh but still got it anyway, the map is incredible in my opinion, but I hate to say this, but I really miss the Bayou because that's where we were born. It doesn't make sense that the same monsters are in Colorado which is a different region lol
I think the new map is on the same level as the first. The first one is still my favourite, maybe because of nostalgia but its just how i imagine the swampy south. I hated the second map at release but i enjoy it now. The third map , dont like it for some reason...
Honestly, I can't say I relate, I'm a console player and this Update made the UI usable for me And the performance on p5 has never been better. Also the graphics continue to blow my mind.
I'm actually enjoying the update. Map and graphics are awesome. I argued with the UI in the beginning and I'm OK with it now and just hope it gets better. My 5800x3d and the 6800XT run the game with constant 90fps in 2k and settings at high to very high. No fsr on. No drops at any compound. I love the new map. But I also cheered when crytek announced Stillwater Bayou coming back this week. I still love the game after 1700h. Yes there are only two modes and now 4 maps. But I think I barley had two matches where the same things happened.
I bought the game because of the new map, in fact, 5 of us did, and although we are new to the game, we are having a blast. I can see why people who have had the game for years are getting burned out, but the UI for a new player isn't awful, because we have nothing to compare it too. We all play on PC with high powered machines, so no performance issues at all, other than an occasional bug. Our main complaint with the game is the match making. We are still learning the game and we are getting wiped by 100 prestige teams who know every trick and tool and hiding spot. We are trying to adapt, but it is pretty frustrating. It would be great to play with other non veterans of the game so we have a better chance, and have more fun. Nearly every match has at least one team of these guys, usually more than one, and they are beyond brutal to play against. I guess it's because the player base is small, so we all get thrown in together. That's our big issue
me and my friend play this daily, its one of the best fps in with siege and cod. the network delays / lag are pretty jarring though with trading times being up to 2 seconds later
I thought a lot about why Hunt suddenly doesn't scratch that itch for me anymore after 2k hours and reaching 6 star with off meta loadouts - for me personally it is 3 things: 1. Dreams - back then hitting 6 star was my goal - I wanted to hit it in my way (getting good at the game and at aiming) and did so. Now there is no further goal. I can't read out my exact MMR from the attributes file so I can't have hitting max elo as a goal. There is no E-sport so every kill feels kind of meaningless. This is deadly for a game where loosing feels so devestating. 2. Focus - back then I was proud when I got a Hunter to max level. I took screenshots of them and posted them on discord. This was among other things because what determined if your loadout was budget or not was your weapons. Med Kits didn't cost anything, shots didn't cost anything. Now everything is so expensive that the weapon you have is more of a sidenote to your stamina and vitality shots. Maybe the changed meta also plays a role with this because now the expensive weapons are not at all stronger than normal prised weapons. Also I hoped that the UI would show more of your hunters instead it's just pop up after pop up. 3. Home - For me the Bayou was where I went in my freetime. The update was like going on a trip for a month to a place that is nice but the place was so different and the way you had to play in it was so different that it could have never felt like home.
I really love the game and have playing it for years and I was really really amazed by the new map and I didn't mind the hundred bugs on release because I expected this. But you make a good point there.. It gets old fast
very well said, i also have some problems with this update and updates before, i started playing this game when it first came out and i loved this game because it was so different, you had to count every shot and really aim and be a good player. Now with these updates they are adding completely overpowered weapons, weapons that can be spammed more, buffed levering to be faster with less spread, buffed shotguns for less spread and that is just slowly taking the fun out of the game for me because its actually sometimes starting to feel like call of duty, dude has 16 bullets and levering an you just need to hope he doesnt kill you with levering before you get a shot off. just feels stupid
It might be slightly too early to tell. If we zoom out, there’s still somewhat of an upward "all-time" trend. We need at least six more months before drawing any conclusions. However, the downward trend after August’s 59K isn’t great. If they fix the UI, bring back old maps, and address the bugs, I can see it rising again. The game needs at least one good update per month, in my opinion. Some news is long overdue. I wasn’t aware of all the issues-the game runs like butter for me.
While there is still an uptrend on the all time graph if you look at the graph for the last year they player base has been slowly shrinking. Ignore the 59k spike for everyone to try the new update and you can see it has slowly been shrinking for a long time.
I see some coments here about ppl having the same opinion like me ; i am a PS5 player and is hard to believe the game is unplayable cause that is not who happens on PS5 and PS5 every1 knows is limited compared to PC so i really get it what you feel probably you play since day 1 hunt and maybe the devs say they gonna change this or that and that doenst happen ; but so far the game is not in a decline at least on ps5 i met a lot of ppl who bought this game after the update like me and every1 are enjoying the game
Just a heads up on what he said in the video. He said peak time there were only 17k people playing. Before update peak time was 20k worst days. And with the update they hit all time peak around 60k. They are not only losing new players or hype now, they are losing old players.
@@szushycats yes but look that is on PC 100% on PC idk how is going or how it was before; i met the game on the same day they have done the big update ; so i am new and so far is a blast and the game doenst have any of those problems on PS5 so like i said is hard to believe that hapen on pc ; and i mean that decline on player base is on PC cause steam only counts with ppl on PC dont add PS5 or Xbox; and i met a lot of new players who bought the game when the big update release like me and a lot of players from my psn friend list bought the game so is really hard to believe the game is so "unplayable " on pc where on console the game performs very well and every1 knows console have fps locked on 60 etc ; ofc the game have some minor bugs yes but not a big deal in my opinion and so far for console players i dont hear any1 complain about the game
@@send_you2_spawn look. It might be “hard to believe”. But the numbers and the community are talking. No matter if it works on PS or does not, I am happy if it does, I believe you. It won’t do good for the game tho if it loses pc access or all pc players. They are not communicating with the community. Unless they fix the issues on PC all negative reviews are deserved on the respective platform where it does not work.

I am usually one to give Crytek alot of patience and benefit of the doubt, more so than others I know. However I would be lying if I said I wasn't upset with them right now for how they have basically been not saying anything for the past few weeks. I mean I get they may be busy trying to fix stuff so a full blown edited video is something they don't want to focus on, but at least community posts on their social media or something to keep us in the loop would be appreciated.
I stopped playing after one night. The UI completely made me rage, I play games to have fun and not to get stressed out. I bought the battle pass to give some support to the game. I currently have no intentions of playing this again until they address the major issues. The best option in my opinion would be to roll the game back until it's in a playable state. Well said 👍
I've started playin this on console after 15 prestige levels on pc. The games massively improved on console in my opinion. I really have no complaints. Could use some new types of zombies in the maps.
i dont agree mostly - idk whats yall problem - i barely have any bugs, laggs or disconnects with my mid pc - but what i agree with is that the content lacks and you dont really have anything to do
I feel like its way smoother now. I remember v0.9 to v1.0 , that was bad or the second map at release, it was unplayable for me, i could only play outside of the compounds because of the lag inside compounds
Totaly agree man, I got over 2.5.k hours in this game and I'm just bored. No new game modes is just sick... No new mobs except minibos like wtf? And after all these days we still didn't get our old maps.
Here my view: UI: I don't like the new UI and I struggled with it in the beginning, but I got used to it... not as bad anymore, it doesn't take the joy from the actual game Graphics/Performance: The graphics and especially the lighting looks great, even on low to medium settings that I need to run to get acceptable frame rates... Performance really needs a bump up. Bugs: A lot of small bugs... could be worse, but not a good start either. I guess they will be fixed over time The new map: I love it! It is so great and so much better than the old maps!
I'm curious what is considered "acceptable frame rates" these days? I'm playing on high setting with locked 60 frames and this is fine for me. Are you not getting that or do you want 120 frames?
I want to say a thing or two as a player. I don't know if you will read that and probably I'm gonna be hated but: When i started playing Hunt I was on 3 star mmr .. me as a player. I not very good at this game but it gave me a lot of satisfaction playing with people with same "mmr" as I. Sometimes I won sometimes I was losing ... normal stuff. But now when I'm playing as a solo matchmaking is putting me against duos combined from 2 star and 6 star... how am I gonna win? The 6 star player is going to be always better than me. Better with mechanics etc. Hunt stopped giving me the pleasure from gaming. Not to mention the amount of AI on the map. I know some players love it but some don't. You just can't focus on PvP anymore... i don't want PvE to be removed but why they've increased the amount of zombies? Now flanking, fighting with other players is almost impossible in some cases. I think that some players who used to play like me 'solo' they're just giving up on this game.
if you are struggling with solo, you can take lvl 1 Hunters in with the intent of levelling them up by hunting Meat Heads and only engage the Hunters if you get an opportunity for an ambush. Then the next round you will have doctor, silent killer, quarter master... ect, and you can have a better chance of beating two players by your self. You don't have to try to kick the door down and kill everybody by your self with a lvl 1 hunter.

Like this weekend I died 3 times to immulator XD come on :D they were getting agro from such a distance I could barely hear them.. and i Was crouching :P then suddenly he is next to my face so panicking I used spear.. then a bunch of zombies were runinng to me. so yea.. i died... lame :P

Personally I still love Hunt very much & had no problems with the UI change. Unfortunately my PC can't handle the new changes. My max FPS is 45 and is unstable periodically dropping to around 20 when playing and I'm already on the lowest settings. Even before the update my max FPS was around 50 but it's stable on that number. So yeah for now until I can afford a better PC I'll have to retire
My PC is very strong yet i keep having performance issues and even ruined some guns for me. For real, I much prefer the previous hunt over whatever we got.
I used to be able to play it high settings with perfect gameplay. No stutters no tears, and since the update I have to play on Gumby World settings and the music just doesn’t hit anymore either
Good video overall. Yes, the map is great, and other parts as mentioned in the video still stay on. This huge update was supposed to bring new players in, and it did bring on the launch day, but now, as you can see, the numbers are back to where it was on Steam. So what does that say? aim to bring in new players and bump overall daily count/weekly hasn't been met. Yes, it clocks around 25k average players, but those numbers are nearly the same before the engine upgrade. The game was supposed to grow but now it's stale in terms of players. UI killed the new players interest for sure.
Hunt over its many years has just been so slow at real additions that I find it too easy to get burnt out. There have been 2 maps added to the game, since the game released. 4 maps total. They are big, detailed, and vary with different effects, but there is still just 4 maps over the many years of its existence. There are 2 gamemodes, although really just 1. So you are playing the exact same gamemode in a limited pool of maps, with the same AI threats that have been around since launch (excluding regular zombie variants added), with 1 added boss, and 2 added minibosses. This is a recipe for stagnation, especially considering we've been waiting for many years with few updates in order to get what constitutes a engine overhaul, 1 map, and 1 miniboss. Guns, skins, balance changes, and perks don't count as significant content, as they may change how you play 1 or 2 rounds but you are still in the same maps fighting the same bosses with the same mechanics. This game rides on its visual and audio fidelity, its great weapon design (I IRL own a Springfield Trapdoor, a Colt 1860, and OFC a Mosin), its immersion, and unique PvP found in no other game, however the lack of content doesn't feel good even after what is supposed to be a major update and a "re-branding", and didn't entice me or my friends to redownload the game. In the same period of time in a different game you would see 5 bosses added, a dozen unique common enemies, at least 4 new maps, 2 new gamemodes, and 1-2 significant overhauls to game's mechanics that change how you play. Instead we got 2 maps, 1 + 0.5 + 0.5 bosses, 1 unused gamemode, 0 common enemies, and 0 major gameplay overhauls.
The devs had made there money over the past 6-7 years on the base game... They need to have the game on game pass Xbox and pc... Think of all the money they'll still make with future dlc Hunter-weapon skins...
Spot on with your concerns. My problems with the game are due to me having an older pc and graphics card. I have to have everything on low and enable amd fsr etc to get a good framerate and it all just looks fuzzy or glitchy. I spend more time mucking about with graphic settings. As for the update the new map is great. But the user interface is a massive fail, just give pc users the option to switch to the old one. I still keep seeing floating weapons all over the map, I have to keep pressing the reload button non stop as in some games its unresponsive and sometimes when i sprint I keep doing melee hits into thin air. Also after every match the end of game report says everyone is an unknown player for some reason. I am sure I could list more bugs if I was to write them all down. I will still keep playing Hunt as its a great game but the update maybe should have cooked for a while longer.
I built my computer in 2017 with an I5-7600 and with seeing how Steam recommendations have been going for hardware suggestions... I just kind of bit the bullet and upgraded. Painful because Motherboard change for Cpu and so forth is... A whole ordeal. That being said, parts are cheaper for what they are today than it was in 2017. Going from an I5-7600 to a I9-12900k is a big change - for the single threading values. I hate to say it but there will be a point you might just need to upgrade. I told myself "well I get 60fps sometimes" but it was not consistent. Playing with frame dips for years across games was too much for me. Hunt UI is just, odd. SO I can stay in one menu for perk selection but not for tools and consumables? Maybe its good for consoles but for PC its clunky.
tbh i don't believe they could actually pull this "new engine=better performance" stuff,every-single old game i've played where devs trying to do this thing have massively failed to improve the games in the performance department,it was done with CombatArms (NEXON had and still has the money btw so it wasn't that),happened with Blade&Soul (korean MMOs are money printers,no reason for it to not have worked) heck it happed with Warface that is also made in cry-engine btw,these games are old and are meant to look and play a certain way for all those years,to believe you can change one of these core-aspects and say "it will improve the game actually" was complete madness from Crytek and,in my opinion,their biggest failure with this update as for everything else i can't say anything at all,U.I is something i got used to cause i'm a new player,the new map is very well done and the gameplay-style of Hunt ain't making it feel old at all for me (also cause i'm a new player,theres tons to learn in this game) and aside from a tutorial glitch where my screen would stay black even after the audio queu for the tutorial to start played i had no crashes nor anything of the sort just some connection issues when loading into a match but once i reconnect i never got DC'd in any of them,now,if i played this thing for 5+ years i can definetly see why people are feeling like their patience is being tested by Crytek
I love hunt, but the dc/ crashes/fps drops are making me rage quit. I noticedd since the update I play way less. The new map looks really good. but the amount of bushrats and sniper camper is insane right now.
I used to play the game on low graphics, and I was so surprised when I found it out. The game looked amazing, and my fps was always on a good level. With the update I play on low resolution, the game looks awful. Trees and grass look like its made of cupboard, impossible to spot something. The sounds are also broken, and my fps has fallen, just like my winrate... I really hope they address those issues, since this is my favourite game, and I'm still interested in playing it, just not like this
@@ceaselessdischarge1026 So. You're saying that thousands of people having such problems are something that crytek should just ignore? Low settings are made for people with outdated hardware, otherwise why would you use it?
It is stagnant because we can only play one map, I couldn't believe it when they announced that we would have only the new map for so long. It just gets boring, game after game loading into the same location and running the same route. Plus the fact there is an event on at the moment. I keep forgetting that fact because it's such a nothing event. On the plus side the new map looks amazing and is so technical. Just a shame that everyone is going to end up hating it because of being made to play it over and over again.

@@flaw3dgenius222 you look for clues, kill the monster, collect the bounty, leave. Other players have the same goal, so only the best and the smartest gets it
It is a PVP game pretty much. You look for clues for a boss monster but the main reason for the clues is just to bring everyone together for a fight. Honestly has the best PVP of any shooter I have played in years.
Like Mista Said, The game is on the Brink of Unplayable half the time, Thats not Fun, and Not talking to the Community about it is ever more Sad. Honestly I've put them up in the ranks with EA, Activision, and The Sorts. I cant think about them without getting confused and angry with how they can be allowed to operate like that
I dont get why people complain about performance honestly. Me with my 2060 which is 5 years old can play this game on max settinmgs without an issue. And with loading problems, just download it on your SSD lol, its pretty normal these days games need to be on SSD.
@@marty386 the problem is everyone’s hardware is different, not everyone’s having issues but the majority are suffering even on high end pcs and this is something on cryteks side which needs fixing, performance for me is relatively good but its not consistent! With recommended settings everyone should be able to play but just can’t, this is only a scratch on how many issues there are with this update!

@@marty386 the player base statistics speak for themselves, the games barely breaking 20k which is almost as low as in 2022, false promises were given on fixing things and they didn’t deliver there’s no wonder people having given up trusting crytek, it’s not about change it’s about delivering on your word after promising fixes on release, the games not in a good state as a 7 year old almost player I know this! 3 years to make a map is far too long we have 4 maps in almost 7 years, come on man wake up!
Hunt needs: #1 is Custom Lobbies with game modifiers Then we need classic shooter modes (elim, ctf, koth, etc.) Last the main game mode itself needs to be overhauled. a lot of ways to do this but the main problems are that the bounty system is pointless, darksight is too OP, trades happen too frequently, traps are too strong, pve is too easy, performance could be better too. Overall the game isnt challenging enough and sort of forces cheesy playstyles This is one of my favorite games btw and ive been playing since early access
The game does have alot of issues but I think the player base is going back down simply because of the bangers of games coming out right now. I definitely am playing some new games that are out. So hunt is getting pushed to the way side a little. I've been playing since beta and have 2k hours
the player base is dropping because they had a great game and changed it to much, the game doesnt even have the same feel anymore, hunt 2 years ago and present hunt are essentially 2 different games, theyve power creeped everything
@@DodgethisCZ it’s meant to be random rotation with 33% chance of the 3 maps previously but since we only have one map now that’s it! Once we have all 4 I believe it will be 25% but luck of the draw can sometimes still mean most of the day of the same map!
Ever since they removed BB acolades they've lost their way. I said it then I'll say it again. From a business perspective: BB acolades was a reason to keep playing once you finished dark tribute/weekly challenges. You'd still farm premium currency just for enjoying their game. Cool. I can use it now to buy some cool cosmetics for my guns etc... Then they took it out. And they nerfed dark tribute from 10k xp to 8k.... And dumbed down the weekly challenges. Ok. Theoretically a good change, players don't need to grind as much. But from a business perspective? You are again doing something that encourages players to just play less. Idea: Why not have Dark Tribute be 20k xp cap, and introduce more checkpoints. Final checkpoint being idk 50guaranteed BloodBonds. At least some sureway of getting daily BBs while also making players play the game for it. Another business perspective on low playercount: Most fps players are where? Csgo, Overwatch, Valorant, CoD. What do these games have in common? Quick ADHD PvP rounds. There's been endless complaints about ''Hunt walking simulator'' - why not cut the map in quarter size gamemodes instead? 10-15min matches, with just 5 or so compounds. Quick in and out balls to the walls shootout. This could easily double if not triple their playercount. It's time to face it. Majority of FPS gamers do not enjoy long dragged out walking before they are engaged in a gunfight. And in Hunt, the gunfights can end in a split second, you get headtapped and your walking is over, now go walk again for 5minutes. Oh what's that? You're new to the game and don't understand how some guns work and would like to just shoot and pvp and not care about anything else much? Well sucks to be you, good luck learning the game for next 100hours walking and dying all the time. And I ofc agree with everything you mention, they are slacking and radio silence doesn't help.
Sorry, what is game breaking about the game? It’s been running extremely smooth/stable, performance is great, just need to lower a couple settings now as they’ve increased the graphics. I’ve loved the new update, but can’t speak for others if they’re getting burned out
For me it's the servers desync after the last patch. I keep diying by a shots comming through the corners of the buildings, my shots keep not being registered, at this point I am putting game down, because it's very clear that Crytek is not going to fix anything. On top of that the new map is just meh. It feels complitely soulless too many levels too many holes everywhere, the gameplay is ether long amo bush enjoyers or shotguns with levering doom players, and that stupid spear is a cherry on top of everything.
for me its the matchmaking throwing me and my less skilled mate to the wolves. how the fuck im 5 star i dont know but i shouldnt be that high and my mate has no chance
Matchmaking is degrading. My friend is new to the game. We're getting in lobbies with 100 100 players. I'm only prestige 10, and he just now prestiged. Should be more balanced based on your prestige.

I just started playing a week ago, and im having a blast ngl. I cant judge the false promisses and stuff, but man if solo vs trios doesnt get my adrenaline pumping, i dont know what will. Then leaving with a bounty 4 times in a row, getting 2 to 5 kills in the process? I think this game is amazing. But i feel you on the repetitive maps. Ive seen the same spawn so many times now, but goddamn they put afford into those maps. Theres never a Hill that you cant climb up through a log or something. I say cut those devs some slack, quality over quantity.
I'm 99% sure that they intentionally added trades, I specifically remember them mentioning it being added at some point. Trades never ever used to be a thing

This update has freed me of my addiction on Hunt: Showdown, finished the battlepass two weeks ago and I am done with the game. Open MMR system (hardstuck 6*, no more fun, also no advantage for playing solo versus trios??????????) Performance issues (game was running smooth and stable, its just unplayable now) The worst UI in gaming history (self explanatory) Money balancing (why play springfield if you can spam dolch fmj, which we heard that some ammo types will be removed, none were removed) Stalemates (mostly because of being hardlocked in 6*, long ammo never push, bulletdrop meaningless) Cheating (inspected few blatant cheaters myself, reported to Crytek, too nearly 3 weeks to get a reply - FairTaskForce btw) Ping limit (EU still flooded with chinese) Trades (worst they ever been) and I am pretty sure that list goes on.
Way to long of a trade window, ping abuse because no ping limit, way way way to worse of a performance for a lot of players on lower end or even mid tier rigs, ear rape audio bugs near water and bosses, constant disconnects and crashes, UI that is very inconvinient and unfinished, spreadsheet balancing instead of looking what the game needs and lack of communication e.g. new old map after 30 days? Dont see it + 4 weeks into the update with "hotfixes" that implemented more bugs. I dont know man seems like they are more sleeping than working and the playercount speaks for itself.
I uninstalled it yesterday... 2 weeks later from this video..and nothing is being done ..😡. U.i. is horrible.. my purchased hunters are missing..some hunters have invisible body parts ... constant disconnects, hit reg sucks . Matchmaking is trash putting 2 and 3 stars against 5 and 6 stars.. always getting put in a 1 bounty lobby.. cheaters are still a thing...oh and yes that includes all these trash get gud players using Cronus...!! Buttons on menu that are their just for looks ,like the report button... Players are all unknown...stat hiding players...to much crap I could go on ....but hey devs keep posting daily on X.. but silent on community complaints.. FK em .. I'm done..
What? I have an RTX 3060 and i can run the game just fine on high settings on pc. On my xbox series x it runs just as good if not better. I've had one game that was choppy in like 3 weeks of playing it everyday. The UI ain't the best but it's not rocket science to figure out. Seems like i got lucky i guess, but none of my friends have any issues either. Wife and I run it on both series x at the same time and the only thing is a long wait time for matches. Rage bait video at most. You are part of the problem.
instead of fixing the biggest issues, the servers, high ping abusers, and the worst of all the trades can be so frustrating. they decided to double down, polishing the turd they have. maximizing the game play and style for consoles ( making shot guns and akimo guns deadly ) matmaking mmr needs work. 6 star is not a fun gun anymore, and solo 6 star is pointless. take a way mmr with a game that have so much rng, and lucky trades

Lousy update! stutters, boring 12 players for a very big map and half of the players will run away given the chance than fight. Two boss game ruins this game. Blurry upscaling!
Players are leaving due to all the issues in game. A big one is the bullet lag, trades and overall latency issues. Which werent great before but they are absolutely horrendous now. The mmr bullshit has turned this game into a sweaty sbmm call of duty extraction shooter as well. Its just ruining the experience and isnt enjoyable at all.
People with wrong future game vision + unexperienced specialists. I would write more from my point of view of a person who worked in gamedev - but words here won't change nothing. I will just leave a comment to support you and help to get a good wave of YT algorithm.
Maybe if they focused less on overfeeding Fifield and fixing their ramshackle programming this would be somewhat playable. They've had YEARS to get this game right and consistently remain passive in their duties.
It is absolutely LAUGHABLE that some streamers (especially partnered) and redditors shamed people for voicing their criticism about the update. They even accused people of reivew botting. Now you can see the outcome. The numbers dont lie. People dont like this. They messed up massively. If they actually listened and delivered genuinely on what they promised they would have a huge chance but they blew it again, like they did before.
They had every right to do what they did IMO, im one of the people that will always be real, doesn't matter if im a partner or not, at the end of the day if you try sweeten everything and say its okay when its clearly not these issues will never ever be fixed!
I'll repeat this again for those who didn't watch the whole video, this is not a video to disrespect the developers in anyway but more so to bring awareness to the current state of the game and spark conversation within the community about our concerns for the games future.

Speaking as a hardcore fan with over 6000 hours in the game, I'm happy with the update. Hunt is the only game that scratches my FPS/extraction shooter itch. Call of Duty and other modern FPS shooters simply lack the same level of immersion. The problem is that Crytek are trying to appeal to the wrong audience. They want to bring in console and casual gamers but the reality is that the game is a hardcore shooter. By over promising with their promises of a "new era" and under delivering on the UI, they've shot themselves in the foot. If they just kept the old UI and gave us the new map everything would be fine. People are expecting too much from something that should have stayed in a niche segment of the market where the game belongs.
Lost a max hunter last night because the game decided to crash when I engaged Scrapbeak. Love this game but that really pissed me off.
Great video. I'm actually really enjoying the update, though. As a console player, the UI update was helpful. The single map is getting repetitive, but I have not noticed major bugs like some have. Maybe it's because I'm not grinding for hours every single day, more of a weekend warrior I guess, so there's that. Too early to panic, I would say. Really hope folks don't jump ship.
Also a console player here, still trying to figure out how the new UI is and upgrade or helpful for console 😂 the new UI is more buggy and slow, and just as clunky as the previous one. Only they’ve introduced new bugs and made things slower with this new UI.
I already jumped ship. I played the day after release, I hated the UI, couldnt figure out for ages how to invite my friend, performance is worse, my friends game crashed twice during the game we played. So now I'm playing Deadlock instead

Can't say I relate to most of your complaints. I like the idea of tournaments and generally brainstorming new ways of breathing life into the game but beyond that I'm pretty happy. Haven't even gotten tired of the new map yet. Most of the issues I had (e.g map freezing) were fixed quickly post-update.

Yes i agree with you! I feel like that most of the complaints are coming from people that are playing this gam non stop and have like 2k hours. I do have some issues with this update but overall its good. New map is the best map that they made, New boss is fun and easy to kill while not worrying that someone will shoot you like with fighting the rotjaw. Sniping became very fun bcs of a new map. Yes, UI is bad and i agree with community about that. Yes there were bugs that would crash your game while opening the map but they have been fixed. I just dont understand why people are review bombing this game. It doesn't help in any way and the only that it does is scaring new players away.

They not always happen to me but my friends. But I do. That is not normal. I have strong but mid pc while my friends have high end. So even performance should not be an issue at all.
Yes, I am gonna leave a megative review on the game exactly to scare people away cuz it is there for that. This game is at points (not all the time ofc) unplayable. And that is just the peak of the iceberg, nobody is even talking about balance issues. I would never recommend for someone to spend money on a game I can’t play becuz there are so many bugs and issues with no communication. Don’t spend money on a half baked cake no matter how good it is supposed to be.
If you play less that does not mean the game is good, you are coping because it haven’t happened enough times to you.

The performance issue is huge and is pushing a lot of players away. Graphically it is nothing crazy looking, yet you need a super computer to run above medium settings and keep a playable frame rate.

This is my favorite video game to play, the battle pass was meh but still got it anyway, the map is incredible in my opinion, but I hate to say this, but I really miss the Bayou because that's where we were born. It doesn't make sense that the same monsters are in Colorado which is a different region lol

Honestly, I can't say I relate, I'm a console player and this Update made the UI usable for me And the performance on p5 has never been better. Also the graphics continue to blow my mind.

My 5800x3d and the 6800XT run the game with constant 90fps in 2k and settings at high to very high.

Yes there are only two modes and now 4 maps. But I think I barley had two matches where the same things happened.
I bought the game because of the new map, in fact, 5 of us did, and although we are new to the game, we are having a blast. I can see why people who have had the game for years are getting burned out, but the UI for a new player isn't awful, because we have nothing to compare it too.
We all play on PC with high powered machines, so no performance issues at all, other than an occasional bug. Our main complaint with the game is the match making. We are still learning the game and we are getting wiped by 100 prestige teams who know every trick and tool and hiding spot. We are trying to adapt, but it is pretty frustrating. It would be great to play with other non veterans of the game so we have a better chance, and have more fun. Nearly every match has at least one team of these guys, usually more than one, and they are beyond brutal to play against. I guess it's because the player base is small, so we all get thrown in together. That's our big issue
me and my friend play this daily, its one of the best fps in with siege and cod. the network delays / lag are pretty jarring though with trading times being up to 2 seconds later
I thought a lot about why Hunt suddenly doesn't scratch that itch for me anymore after 2k hours and reaching 6 star with off meta loadouts - for me personally it is 3 things:
1. Dreams - back then hitting 6 star was my goal - I wanted to hit it in my way (getting good at the game and at aiming) and did so. Now there is no further goal. I can't read out my exact MMR from the attributes file so I can't have hitting max elo as a goal. There is no E-sport so every kill feels kind of meaningless. This is deadly for a game where loosing feels so devestating.
2. Focus - back then I was proud when I got a Hunter to max level. I took screenshots of them and posted them on discord. This was among other things because what determined if your loadout was budget or not was your weapons. Med Kits didn't cost anything, shots didn't cost anything. Now everything is so expensive that the weapon you have is more of a sidenote to your stamina and vitality shots. Maybe the changed meta also plays a role with this because now the expensive weapons are not at all stronger than normal prised weapons. Also I hoped that the UI would show more of your hunters instead it's just pop up after pop up.
3. Home - For me the Bayou was where I went in my freetime. The update was like going on a trip for a month to a place that is nice but the place was so different and the way you had to play in it was so different that it could have never felt like home.
I really love the game and have playing it for years and I was really really amazed by the new map and I didn't mind the hundred bugs on release because I expected this. But you make a good point there.. It gets old fast
very well said, i also have some problems with this update and updates before, i started playing this game when it first came out and i loved this game because it was so different, you had to count every shot and really aim and be a good player. Now with these updates they are adding completely overpowered weapons, weapons that can be spammed more, buffed levering to be faster with less spread, buffed shotguns for less spread and that is just slowly taking the fun out of the game for me because its actually sometimes starting to feel like call of duty, dude has 16 bullets and levering an you just need to hope he doesnt kill you with levering before you get a shot off. just feels stupid
It might be slightly too early to tell. If we zoom out, there’s still somewhat of an upward "all-time" trend. We need at least six more months before drawing any conclusions. However, the downward trend after August’s 59K isn’t great. If they fix the UI, bring back old maps, and address the bugs, I can see it rising again. The game needs at least one good update per month, in my opinion. Some news is long overdue.
I wasn’t aware of all the issues-the game runs like butter for me.
While there is still an uptrend on the all time graph if you look at the graph for the last year they player base has been slowly shrinking. Ignore the 59k spike for everyone to try the new update and you can see it has slowly been shrinking for a long time.
I see some coments here about ppl having the same opinion like me ; i am a PS5 player and is hard to believe the game is unplayable cause that is not who happens on PS5 and PS5 every1 knows is limited compared to PC so i really get it what you feel probably you play since day 1 hunt and maybe the devs say they gonna change this or that and that doenst happen ; but so far the game is not in a decline at least on ps5 i met a lot of ppl who bought this game after the update like me and every1 are enjoying the game
Just a heads up on what he said in the video. He said peak time there were only 17k people playing. Before update peak time was 20k worst days. And with the update they hit all time peak around 60k. They are not only losing new players or hype now, they are losing old players.
@@szushycats yes but look that is on PC 100% on PC idk how is going or how it was before; i met the game on the same day they have done the big update ; so i am new and so far is a blast and the game doenst have any of those problems on PS5 so like i said is hard to believe that hapen on pc ; and i mean that decline on player base is on PC cause steam only counts with ppl on PC dont add PS5 or Xbox; and i met a lot of new players who bought the game when the big update release like me and a lot of players from my psn friend list bought the game so is really hard to believe the game is so "unplayable " on pc where on console the game performs very well and every1 knows console have fps locked on 60 etc ; ofc the game have some minor bugs yes but not a big deal in my opinion and so far for console players i dont hear any1 complain about the game

It won’t do good for the game tho if it loses pc access or all pc players. They are not communicating with the community. Unless they fix the issues on PC all negative reviews are deserved on the respective platform where it does not work.

I am usually one to give Crytek alot of patience and benefit of the doubt, more so than others I know. However I would be lying if I said I wasn't upset with them right now for how they have basically been not saying anything for the past few weeks. I mean I get they may be busy trying to fix stuff so a full blown edited video is something they don't want to focus on, but at least community posts on their social media or something to keep us in the loop would be appreciated.

Should have had more than one map at relaunch man, bout 3 weeks in I was bored shitless.
I stopped playing after one night. The UI completely made me rage, I play games to have fun and not to get stressed out. I bought the battle pass to give some support to the game. I currently have no intentions of playing this again until they address the major issues. The best option in my opinion would be to roll the game back until it's in a playable state. Well said 👍
I've started playin this on console after 15 prestige levels on pc. The games massively improved on console in my opinion. I really have no complaints. Could use some new types of zombies in the maps.
i dont agree mostly - idk whats yall problem - i barely have any bugs, laggs or disconnects with my mid pc - but what i agree with is that the content lacks and you dont really have anything to do

I remember v0.9 to v1.0 , that was bad or the second map at release, it was unplayable for me, i could only play outside of the compounds because of the lag inside compounds

Totaly agree man, I got over 2.5.k hours in this game and I'm just bored. No new game modes is just sick... No new mobs except minibos like wtf? And after all these days we still didn't get our old maps.
Here my view:
UI: I don't like the new UI and I struggled with it in the beginning, but I got used to it... not as bad anymore, it doesn't take the joy from the actual game
Graphics/Performance: The graphics and especially the lighting looks great, even on low to medium settings that I need to run to get acceptable frame rates... Performance really needs a bump up.
Bugs: A lot of small bugs... could be worse, but not a good start either. I guess they will be fixed over time
The new map: I love it! It is so great and so much better than the old maps!
I'm curious what is considered "acceptable frame rates" these days? I'm playing on high setting with locked 60 frames and this is fine for me. Are you not getting that or do you want 120 frames?
I want to say a thing or two as a player. I don't know if you will read that and probably I'm gonna be hated but:
When i started playing Hunt I was on 3 star mmr .. me as a player. I not very good at this game but it gave me a lot of satisfaction playing with people with same "mmr" as I. Sometimes I won sometimes I was losing ... normal stuff. But now when I'm playing as a solo matchmaking is putting me against duos combined from 2 star and 6 star... how am I gonna win? The 6 star player is going to be always better than me. Better with mechanics etc. Hunt stopped giving me the pleasure from gaming. Not to mention the amount of AI on the map. I know some players love it but some don't. You just can't focus on PvP anymore... i don't want PvE to be removed but why they've increased the amount of zombies? Now flanking, fighting with other players is almost impossible in some cases. I think that some players who used to play like me 'solo' they're just giving up on this game.
if you are struggling with solo, you can take lvl 1 Hunters in with the intent of levelling them up by hunting Meat Heads and only engage the Hunters if you get an opportunity for an ambush. Then the next round you will have doctor, silent killer, quarter master... ect, and you can have a better chance of beating two players by your self.
You don't have to try to kick the door down and kill everybody by your self with a lvl 1 hunter.

Personally I still love Hunt very much & had no problems with the UI change. Unfortunately my PC can't handle the new changes. My max FPS is 45 and is unstable periodically dropping to around 20 when playing and I'm already on the lowest settings. Even before the update my max FPS was around 50 but it's stable on that number.
So yeah for now until I can afford a better PC I'll have to retire
My PC is very strong yet i keep having performance issues and even ruined some guns for me. For real, I much prefer the previous hunt over whatever we got.
So much for the whole indie devs being better than AAA devs trope. They're all the same.
A competitive mode would be sick. Most games have it and Hunt might have potential for it. But they have to fix one or two things before that.

The update feels rushed for something that was delayed as much as it was.
I used to be able to play it high settings with perfect gameplay. No stutters no tears, and since the update I have to play on Gumby World settings and the music just doesn’t hit anymore either
Good video overall. Yes, the map is great, and other parts as mentioned in the video still stay on. This huge update was supposed to bring new players in, and it did bring on the launch day, but now, as you can see, the numbers are back to where it was on Steam. So what does that say? aim to bring in new players and bump overall daily count/weekly hasn't been met. Yes, it clocks around 25k average players, but those numbers are nearly the same before the engine upgrade. The game was supposed to grow but now it's stale in terms of players. UI killed the new players interest for sure.
The map is by far the worst of the 3. I hate😮 the damned mountain! I miss the swamps
Hunt over its many years has just been so slow at real additions that I find it too easy to get burnt out. There have been 2 maps added to the game, since the game released. 4 maps total. They are big, detailed, and vary with different effects, but there is still just 4 maps over the many years of its existence. There are 2 gamemodes, although really just 1. So you are playing the exact same gamemode in a limited pool of maps, with the same AI threats that have been around since launch (excluding regular zombie variants added), with 1 added boss, and 2 added minibosses. This is a recipe for stagnation, especially considering we've been waiting for many years with few updates in order to get what constitutes a engine overhaul, 1 map, and 1 miniboss. Guns, skins, balance changes, and perks don't count as significant content, as they may change how you play 1 or 2 rounds but you are still in the same maps fighting the same bosses with the same mechanics. This game rides on its visual and audio fidelity, its great weapon design (I IRL own a Springfield Trapdoor, a Colt 1860, and OFC a Mosin), its immersion, and unique PvP found in no other game, however the lack of content doesn't feel good even after what is supposed to be a major update and a "re-branding", and didn't entice me or my friends to redownload the game.
In the same period of time in a different game you would see 5 bosses added, a dozen unique common enemies, at least 4 new maps, 2 new gamemodes, and 1-2 significant overhauls to game's mechanics that change how you play. Instead we got 2 maps, 1 + 0.5 + 0.5 bosses, 1 unused gamemode, 0 common enemies, and 0 major gameplay overhauls.
The devs had made there money over the past 6-7 years on the base game... They need to have the game on game pass Xbox and pc... Think of all the money they'll still make with future dlc Hunter-weapon skins...
Spot on with your concerns. My problems with the game are due to me having an older pc and graphics card. I have to have everything on low and enable amd fsr etc to get a good framerate and it all just looks fuzzy or glitchy. I spend more time mucking about with graphic settings. As for the update the new map is great. But the user interface is a massive fail, just give pc users the option to switch to the old one. I still keep seeing floating weapons all over the map, I have to keep pressing the reload button non stop as in some games its unresponsive and sometimes when i sprint I keep doing melee hits into thin air. Also after every match the end of game report says everyone is an unknown player for some reason. I am sure I could list more bugs if I was to write them all down. I will still keep playing Hunt as its a great game but the update maybe should have cooked for a while longer.
I built my computer in 2017 with an I5-7600 and with seeing how Steam recommendations have been going for hardware suggestions... I just kind of bit the bullet and upgraded. Painful because Motherboard change for Cpu and so forth is... A whole ordeal.
That being said, parts are cheaper for what they are today than it was in 2017. Going from an I5-7600 to a I9-12900k is a big change - for the single threading values. I hate to say it but there will be a point you might just need to upgrade. I told myself "well I get 60fps sometimes" but it was not consistent. Playing with frame dips for years across games was too much for me.
Hunt UI is just, odd. SO I can stay in one menu for perk selection but not for tools and consumables? Maybe its good for consoles but for PC its clunky.
tbh i don't believe they could actually pull this "new engine=better performance" stuff,every-single old game i've played where devs trying to do this thing have massively failed to improve the games in the performance department,it was done with CombatArms (NEXON had and still has the money btw so it wasn't that),happened with Blade&Soul (korean MMOs are money printers,no reason for it to not have worked) heck it happed with Warface that is also made in cry-engine btw,these games are old and are meant to look and play a certain way for all those years,to believe you can change one of these core-aspects and say "it will improve the game actually" was complete madness from Crytek and,in my opinion,their biggest failure with this update
as for everything else i can't say anything at all,U.I is something i got used to cause i'm a new player,the new map is very well done and the gameplay-style of Hunt ain't making it feel old at all for me (also cause i'm a new player,theres tons to learn in this game) and aside from a tutorial glitch where my screen would stay black even after the audio queu for the tutorial to start played i had no crashes nor anything of the sort just some connection issues when loading into a match but once i reconnect i never got DC'd in any of them,now,if i played this thing for 5+ years i can definetly see why people are feeling like their patience is being tested by Crytek
I love hunt, but the dc/ crashes/fps drops are making me rage quit. I noticedd since the update I play way less.
The new map looks really good. but the amount of bushrats and sniper camper is insane right now.
I said ever since they announced the engine switch that the game would be unplayable for at least a month.
I used to play the game on low graphics, and I was so surprised when I found it out. The game looked amazing, and my fps was always on a good level. With the update I play on low resolution, the game looks awful. Trees and grass look like its made of cupboard, impossible to spot something. The sounds are also broken, and my fps has fallen, just like my winrate... I really hope they address those issues, since this is my favourite game, and I'm still interested in playing it, just not like this

The new enginee on the same setting looks so blurry with dlss on. So i was forced to switch to DSR 4k downsampling and additionally DLSS. Why is it?

It is stagnant because we can only play one map, I couldn't believe it when they announced that we would have only the new map for so long. It just gets boring, game after game loading into the same location and running the same route. Plus the fact there is an event on at the moment. I keep forgetting that fact because it's such a nothing event.
On the plus side the new map looks amazing and is so technical. Just a shame that everyone is going to end up hating it because of being made to play it over and over again.
Something very concerning is happening in the industry. Its like the wrong people are being hired...
Why is UI so hard to figure out anymore?
This just came out on PS5, ive watched loads of videos and i still cannot understand what you do in the game? Can anyone help me out? From what ive seen it looks very good but yeah what on earth do you do?
@@flaw3dgenius222 you look for clues, kill the monster, collect the bounty, leave. Other players have the same goal, so only the best and the smartest gets it
It is a PVP game pretty much. You look for clues for a boss monster but the main reason for the clues is just to bring everyone together for a fight. Honestly has the best PVP of any shooter I have played in years.

Like Mista Said, The game is on the Brink of Unplayable half the time, Thats not Fun, and Not talking to the Community about it is ever more Sad. Honestly I've put them up in the ranks with EA, Activision, and The Sorts. I cant think about them without getting confused and angry with how they can be allowed to operate like that

I dont get why people complain about performance honestly. Me with my 2060 which is 5 years old can play this game on max settinmgs without an issue. And with loading problems, just download it on your SSD lol, its pretty normal these days games need to be on SSD.
@@marty386 the problem is everyone’s hardware is different, not everyone’s having issues but the majority are suffering even on high end pcs and this is something on cryteks side which needs fixing, performance for me is relatively good but its not consistent! With recommended settings everyone should be able to play but just can’t, this is only a scratch on how many issues there are with this update!

@@marty386 the player base statistics speak for themselves, the games barely breaking 20k which is almost as low as in 2022, false promises were given on fixing things and they didn’t deliver there’s no wonder people having given up trusting crytek, it’s not about change it’s about delivering on your word after promising fixes on release, the games not in a good state as a 7 year old almost player I know this! 3 years to make a map is far too long we have 4 maps in almost 7 years, come on man wake up!

Hunt needs:
#1 is Custom Lobbies with game modifiers
Then we need classic shooter modes (elim, ctf, koth, etc.)
Last the main game mode itself needs to be overhauled. a lot of ways to do this but the main problems are that the bounty system is pointless, darksight is too OP, trades happen too frequently, traps are too strong, pve is too easy, performance could be better too.
Overall the game isnt challenging enough and sort of forces cheesy playstyles

The game does have alot of issues but I think the player base is going back down simply because of the bangers of games coming out right now. I definitely am playing some new games that are out. So hunt is getting pushed to the way side a little. I've been playing since beta and have 2k hours
the player base is dropping because they had a great game and changed it to much, the game doesnt even have the same feel anymore, hunt 2 years ago and present hunt are essentially 2 different games, theyve power creeped everything

@@DodgethisCZ it’s meant to be random rotation with 33% chance of the 3 maps previously but since we only have one map now that’s it! Once we have all 4 I believe it will be 25% but luck of the draw can sometimes still mean most of the day of the same map!

Ever since they removed BB acolades they've lost their way. I said it then I'll say it again.
From a business perspective: BB acolades was a reason to keep playing once you finished dark tribute/weekly challenges. You'd still farm premium currency just for enjoying their game. Cool. I can use it now to buy some cool cosmetics for my guns etc...
Then they took it out. And they nerfed dark tribute from 10k xp to 8k.... And dumbed down the weekly challenges. Ok. Theoretically a good change, players don't need to grind as much. But from a business perspective? You are again doing something that encourages players to just play less.
Idea: Why not have Dark Tribute be 20k xp cap, and introduce more checkpoints. Final checkpoint being idk 50guaranteed BloodBonds. At least some sureway of getting daily BBs while also making players play the game for it.
Another business perspective on low playercount: Most fps players are where? Csgo, Overwatch, Valorant, CoD.
What do these games have in common? Quick ADHD PvP rounds. There's been endless complaints about ''Hunt walking simulator'' - why not cut the map in quarter size gamemodes instead? 10-15min matches, with just 5 or so compounds. Quick in and out balls to the walls shootout. This could easily double if not triple their playercount. It's time to face it. Majority of FPS gamers do not enjoy long dragged out walking before they are engaged in a gunfight. And in Hunt, the gunfights can end in a split second, you get headtapped and your walking is over, now go walk again for 5minutes. Oh what's that? You're new to the game and don't understand how some guns work and would like to just shoot and pvp and not care about anything else much? Well sucks to be you, good luck learning the game for next 100hours walking and dying all the time.
And I ofc agree with everything you mention, they are slacking and radio silence doesn't help.

Sorry, what is game breaking about the game? It’s been running extremely smooth/stable, performance is great, just need to lower a couple settings now as they’ve increased the graphics. I’ve loved the new update, but can’t speak for others if they’re getting burned out

For me it's the servers desync after the last patch. I keep diying by a shots comming through the corners of the buildings, my shots keep not being registered, at this point I am putting game down, because it's very clear that Crytek is not going to fix anything. On top of that the new map is just meh. It feels complitely soulless too many levels too many holes everywhere, the gameplay is ether long amo bush enjoyers or shotguns with levering doom players, and that stupid spear is a cherry on top of everything.
for me its the matchmaking throwing me and my less skilled mate to the wolves. how the fuck im 5 star i dont know but i shouldnt be that high and my mate has no chance
Matchmaking is degrading. My friend is new to the game. We're getting in lobbies with 100 100 players. I'm only prestige 10, and he just now prestiged. Should be more balanced based on your prestige.

I cant judge the false promisses and stuff, but man if solo vs trios doesnt get my adrenaline pumping, i dont know what will.
Then leaving with a bounty 4 times in a row, getting 2 to 5 kills in the process? I think this game is amazing. But i feel you on the repetitive maps.
Ive seen the same spawn so many times now, but goddamn they put afford into those maps. Theres never a Hill that you cant climb up through a log or something.
I say cut those devs some slack, quality over quantity.

Looking at steam charts and you can see the game is trending up. The base is not declining.
This update has freed me of my addiction on Hunt: Showdown, finished the battlepass two weeks ago and I am done with the game.
Open MMR system (hardstuck 6*, no more fun, also no advantage for playing solo versus trios??????????)
Performance issues (game was running smooth and stable, its just unplayable now)
The worst UI in gaming history (self explanatory)
Money balancing (why play springfield if you can spam dolch fmj, which we heard that some ammo types will be removed, none were removed)
Stalemates (mostly because of being hardlocked in 6*, long ammo never push, bulletdrop meaningless)
Cheating (inspected few blatant cheaters myself, reported to Crytek, too nearly 3 weeks to get a reply - FairTaskForce btw)
Ping limit (EU still flooded with chinese)
Trades (worst they ever been)
and I am pretty sure that list goes on.

It’s very unfortunate what is happening to Hunt. This video pretty much sums it all up.
Way to long of a trade window, ping abuse because no ping limit, way way way to worse of a performance for a lot of players on lower end or even mid tier rigs, ear rape audio bugs near water and bosses, constant disconnects and crashes,
UI that is very inconvinient and unfinished, spreadsheet balancing instead of looking what the game needs and lack of communication e.g. new old map after 30 days? Dont see it + 4 weeks into the update with "hotfixes" that implemented more bugs.
I dont know man seems like they are more sleeping than working and the playercount speaks for itself.

I uninstalled it yesterday... 2 weeks later from this video..and nothing is being done ..😡. U.i. is horrible.. my purchased hunters are missing..some hunters have invisible body parts ... constant disconnects, hit reg sucks . Matchmaking is trash putting 2 and 3 stars against 5 and 6 stars.. always getting put in a 1 bounty lobby.. cheaters are still a thing...oh and yes that includes all these trash get gud players using Cronus...!! Buttons on menu that are their just for looks ,like the report button... Players are all unknown...stat hiding players...to much crap I could go on ....but hey devs keep posting daily on X.. but silent on community complaints.. FK em .. I'm done..

What? I have an RTX 3060 and i can run the game just fine on high settings on pc. On my xbox series x it runs just as good if not better. I've had one game that was choppy in like 3 weeks of playing it everyday. The UI ain't the best but it's not rocket science to figure out. Seems like i got lucky i guess, but none of my friends have any issues either. Wife and I run it on both series x at the same time and the only thing is a long wait time for matches.

matmaking mmr needs work. 6 star is not a fun gun anymore, and solo 6 star is pointless. take a way mmr with a game that have so much rng, and lucky trades

Lousy update! stutters, boring 12 players for a very big map and half of the players will run away given the chance than fight. Two boss game ruins this game. Blurry upscaling!
Players are leaving due to all the issues in game. A big one is the bullet lag, trades and overall latency issues. Which werent great before but they are absolutely horrendous now.
The mmr bullshit has turned this game into a sweaty sbmm call of duty extraction shooter as well.
Its just ruining the experience and isnt enjoyable at all.
People with wrong future game vision + unexperienced specialists.
I would write more from my point of view of a person who worked in gamedev - but words here won't change nothing.

It is absolutely LAUGHABLE that some streamers (especially partnered) and redditors shamed people for voicing their criticism about the update. They even accused people of reivew botting. Now you can see the outcome. The numbers dont lie. People dont like this. They messed up massively. If they actually listened and delivered genuinely on what they promised they would have a huge chance but they blew it again, like they did before.
They had every right to do what they did IMO, im one of the people that will always be real, doesn't matter if im a partner or not, at the end of the day if you try sweeten everything and say its okay when its clearly not these issues will never ever be fixed!
