    Gosh I love this guy. So much inspiration. When I have a tough day learning languages, I sometimes look up one of his videos just to regain momentum. 😃

      Lol, german pronunciation is quite easy but its structure is quite messy

    He is very charming. He's just the sort of person that one would really like to see traveling around. (Mean people should stay at home, don't you all think so?) He's also quite generous with his ideas on language learning. Thanks, Richard!

      im italian and can confirm. its truly remarkable. it sounds like a trained ai coming from year 2050. you can hear just a tinyyyy use of words that are correct but not used very often like 'dominare una lingua' which is by no means wrong, just unusual.

      The German one is pretty perfect, too....though the grammar was not totally 100%. I know of a lot of people having way worse German after living 30 years there.

    It is true, when you already speak a foreign language and decided to learn a new one, it would be easy for you if you learn similar from the one you already knew. When I moved to Paris and started learning the language, it was very easy for me because I already speaking Italian which is quite similar to French.

    Richard is too modest I think. He's much better than Emanuele Marini when it comes to fluency and pronunciation.

      Naja, Sachen wie "Und, Ich wusste gar nicht."....und sogar "Ich sagte" machen das schon eindeutig. Aber natürlich trotzdem sehr überzeugend.

      @@Jaburu das stimmt. Wenn es um die Vergangenheit ist „sagte“ sogar korrekt. Nur die Deutschen verwenden da ja sehr viel „habe“ + Vergangenheit was an sich ja falsch ist

    I really got me surprised by understanding quite a lot of the first three languages spoken in this video: English, French and Italian. Of course, I am Brazilian therefore the similarities between my native language and the romance languages give me quite a help, but without a doubt, my listening skills are getting improved after some time studying these other languages. Currently, I'm also studying German which is a very difficult language for me, but I won't quit before learning and my only goal is to take as many languages learned as I can take (Dark feelings).
    Ah, and English I think I could say I'm almost fluent, just need a real life challenge like living abroad or perhaps like teaching people that wanna learn both English and Portuguese by using iTalki...

      The "French" girl actually had a stronger accent than him and made a grammatical mistake ("voudrais" instead of "voudriez") . I believe she was italian ^^
