I camped literally just off the swcp about half a mile from the smuggler's inn towards Weymouth set up in the dark cos i stopped for a few more pints than i should have and left about 8 am
And I'll continue to camp where i like 👍

I’ve honestly never had an issue with wild camping. Just some odd looks in the morning. Which I imagine is a ‘why on earth would you want to camp there?’

Why bother going inland when you can camp with a beautiful coastal sea view.. I say that as camping is tolerated on the SWCP, as long as you tidy up before you leave. Having done the SWCP few times now i have come across tents all along the route, even bang in tne middle of the footpath itself.

Haha. That is totally fair enough. I always exercise caution, but I am a cautious person.

Setting up super late and leaving super early + camping by myself. I can’t see how this is a problem. As a photographer I’m always going to push the boundaries a little to get better photos of places. Ultimately safer for everyone for me to camp and capture sunrise than it would be for me to drive early in the morning. Sorry if this isn’t to your liking. Also, I left no trace and would’ve been very accepting if I was moved on in the night.
