Great video. I just removed the delay valve on my Accord at almost 10 years of ownership and 219k miles. I got the snap ring out with a $10 pick set from Home Depot. I used the same types you demonstrated. A 90 degree to keep the snap ring from turning and a straight pick to get under the ring to pry it out. You need really strong picks with a very sharp point. You have to really gouge into the body of the slave to get under that ring.
I just completed this along with my clutch replacement thanks to your videos! It feels like a different car now and I'm loving it. Thank you for all the work you put into making these videos.
Interesting! I didn't know the delay valve was removable; I always thought people just replace them with AP1 clutch slave. Excellent video as always! 👌
Yeah I thought about doing that with my AP2 but I went with buying one for a AP1. Also replaced the rubber clutch line with a steel braided clutch line. Great video thanks for continuing to post.
I upgraded to an AP1 flywheel. I’ve read mixed results about it working with AP2 flywheels. Majority seems to think it works. I also have an AP1 with an AP2 motor and it works on that car.
Hey will removing that clutch slave delay Vale with case any damage to engine or clutch? That's a great idea so that car drives almost like a ap1 if better
Technically you will put more wear on your transmission/diff/axles as opposed to wearing out your clutch instead. As long as you aren’t dumping the clutch from a stop you should be fine.
@@DIYGuysvideo ok so if you just don't dump that clutch nothing will get worn faster . Great you can't really dump it with that thing on so it's like a nice safety feature
**Warning** Go closer to the boot when you drill the hole. I drilled a 1/8" hole so that it wouldn't get into the boot recess, and it damaged the o-ring and the groove that it sits in, so now I need a new slave.
Nice, can you make a video about secondary air pump removal and izze chip wiring with the Ecu to stimate the airpump operation? Thanks man keep up the good works

Excellent video as usual! Would love for you to be doing a bucket seat install (Recaro, etc.) with all the fixes for ABS etc.!
Fixes for ABS?

Ah I guess replacing the clutch line is a way to work around the fitment issues with the AP1 clutch slave cylinder nice.
I changed my clutch master and slave cylinder, but my pedal is still coming up slow. Any ideas?
Air in the lines
did you also upgrade to an ap1 flywheel? curious as to how much effect this will have if you stay with the heavier ap2 flywheel

I will as long as I get a car that needs it. My car came with the izze simulators already installed. Where are you located?
@@DIYGuysvideo i am in Chicago area, you?
California 😭
Wouldn't replacing it with an AP1 counterpart, be much easier? Just my 0.02
AP1 slave requires modification or replacement of the clutch line. So all options require some work. Taking out the CDV is pretty easy.
