I was 10-14 yrs old when Gene was dominating AM pop radio nationwide. This song, his voice, the drums, just incredible. And also 24 Hours from Tulsa, and Last Exit To Brooklyn...knocked me out.
I have been going through my 45s, and all those songs that thrilled me, made me feel all the emotions made my heartbeat like a drum seeing all those songs come into my life again!
My older sister gave me a double album with Gene’s Greatest Hits. Love, love his music. After 59 years-still can’t be beat. Thank you sir for your beautiful music. RIP, love you❤️

Apparently gene had a bad cold when he went into the studio to record this song and had trouble hitting the high notes, but WOW what a brilliant job he did, God bless and thank you for what you left us

There are just a handful of truly great Falsetto solo tenor artists. Gene was one of those true greats. He is irreplaceable
If you got to grow up anytime in the 50's through the 90's with all the golden classic movies, music & concerts, YOU were very blessed.
I'm soon to be 75 this month and I grew up listening to Gene and other's during that great era. It won't ever be that good again.
