Glad I could help. I believe I had to readjust my timing belt after I had installed it, but good to know these things. Especially when there is not too many that work on them much.

Your welcome, I may have to go double check mine when I get her out again as the belt seemed a little loose, so before putting the covers on or screwing them down, do up some work to make sure it is good. But really with only a few screws, not much to get back in there.
Another had a problem with her electronic machine, well lets just say that I did learn a few things from her and what she had to do. So we all help each other in our own ways.

Hola Roberta, muchas gracias por sus videos tan interesantes e instructivos. Lamentablemente mi inglés no es muy bueno. Alguien sabe si existe en youtube algún vídeo sobre cambiar timing belt pero explicado en español? Gracias

+Michele Naquaiya Thanks for the compliment, ever since I was a teen, I have always liked taking apart things but also putting them back together. So when my KH830 was hard pushing the carriage, I had purchased the new belt, just took me a couple months to get her out and use her. So now she is humming along. Grant it, the belt was not broken but there was a flaw somewhere and putting in the new one seemed to help. Well actually I still need to try it with yarn in the machine and maybe the lace carriage for a better trial. Berda

Please, what size screwdriver are you using to remove the covers? My official knitting machine screwdriver is not removing one screw and it seems to be "chewing" it up.

I am not sure the size and will ask hubby, but I do remember that when I was trying to loosen these 2 screws on the wheel inside on the left, I did have to use a little larger screwdriver as the smaller one just didn't want to loosen it. So just get a larger one that fits in the screw and hopefully you can get the cover off. I hate when they strip. But hubby has helped me with screws like that, you have to bear down hard while turning it. If it is too far gone, then you will need a special tool to get it out, now I will have to look up that tool name but hubby has a set of them, sort of makes the slots again.
So as I am trying to find that tool, found this page that shows a few other ways to get out a hard to get screw. I think the steel wool or rubber band may work.

Of course you want to be careful of the plastic also, so go easy and I hope you can get that screw out.

Berda
