for these kinds of cars that already have a lot of horsepower, a little improvement in aerodynamics can significantly boost the speed and agility. the need for more power isn't as urgent as regular sportscars.
Just regarding the top speed, m8, just the top speed. I'm pretty sure engineers can come up with something faster than F1 using the same main spec, of course, but the current trend for supercars moved in a different direction. Turbos are a lot more viable these days (almost nonexistent lag etc), electric stuff etc etc. Look at the MP4-12C, it's a 3,8L TT V8 producing more than 618HP. My point here is the small capacity of the engine of this kind of car. It matters.
Given the official stats, this car is faster than McLaren F1, although is less powerful and heavier ! Except for the top speed, of course... Quite impressive I'd say.
Then you should also know that these kind of figures are rounded up to the nearest 2dp... so if it was 0.365/0.344 the answer would be rounded up to 1.06... sorry to break your bubble ;) Cannot resist sometimes ;)
Total drag=CD×surface area Surface area for a car is width×height×0.7ish The gtr is quite a bit higher so the surface area is probably bigger. The total drag is probably quite similar
You got it wrong. McLaren F1 was/is spectacular and quite ahead of its time for a road car (Murray said he used the same principles he used when designed F1 cars in the 70s....... so not that ahead of its time anymore in the 90s), but things go forward and comes a time when everything is "history". For ex, this Speciale: less power, heavier.... but in the end faster than a McLaren F1, except for the top speed of course.
Ferrari should have recorded a live wind tunnel test & demonstration instead of CGI worthy of a Playstation or Microsoft badge.. I'm not saying it won't do everything the animated version will do or even a hell of a lot more, but they made it a theory instead of a fact..
Either you heard wrong, or were awake on the wrong day. Cars don't just win the 24 hours of Le mans on their first attempt by running cardboard aerodynamics. Genuine engineering is required.
Excellent, just goes to show, you can make a good car even better, without the need for a total redesign.
Always loved Ferrari. Ferrari all day everyday

That was before aerodynamics became a huge part of F1 and engineers got a better understanding of how they can improve a cars performance.
FERRARI is the BEST!!!!

"Aerodynamics are for people who can't build engines." - Enzo Ferrari
F1 car
Michael Völker
He can’t build an engine too until he found out that aerodynamic ARE important as the engine. LUL
So you mean the Ferrari doesn't have good engines. What about the greatest V12 s of all time.
Both are equally important.
Love the fact that it can stall the rear diffuser. Shame I'll never get to own one or see one in the metal. At least I have a push bike I guess.
what's the purpose of the nostril shape on the front? in the video, there is no illustration for that.

another exceptional ferrari
nice car
Wait, so Nissan GTR has a lower CD than this Ferrari? Explanation please.
De enz Japan Lv !
More downforce, higher cd
Can you see any straight line on this car?
its not all about slipperyness, these are track cars, they need downforce for cornering.

Outta left field but OK.

Also 0.53/0.35= 1.51 not 1.50.
this car has had some good work done on it. Sorry, there's no way that the F12 is as good as this. There's no way the F12 is as fast as this either.
what about hose power
Can someone explain the s duck pls? I'm interested in reducing my car drag but it just doesn't look ok to have such a low preassure zone on the front
th-cam.com/video/WOZgEvJbnlc/w-d-xo.html Here you go
SOOOOOOOOOO COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL SPECIALE
Superb
how about 0.365/0.345=1.058?
what about hp
Merci beaucoup de montré ou elle sort la fumée de la Ferrari 458🗽🗼👕👔🏰
Pardon jé oublier de écrire moins prénom et mon non de famille
🏰🗼🗽👕👔😁
Gorgeous Design, Awesome work, now make it Electric ;)
...Do it!
the most aero dynamic is not 458 speciale its a ferrari f1 car but atleast its a car to but a different one
like you
LOL uh sorry, you're all alone there pal.
0.37/0.34=1.088 and not 1.06. sorry but a nerd cannot resist sometimes.
cd=.35? fail
it look like 599
The F12 is faster than the Speciale both at Fiorano & in a straight line
Same voice as jeremy clarkson XD
Great car.
i thought the same
Thank you, finally another person who thinks the Mclaren F1 was not that spectacular.
Wait, WHAT! The F1 is a legend! Genuinely the greatest car ever made. It was more than just spectacular. It was the very definition of it.
Aerodynamic are for people who can't make engine

What is this
ermos. estecarro
Lamborari ?? Mach up
It's almost as complicated as an i8
Chi sono i 3 pazzi che hanno messo non mi piace!!!
The original looks better
Lambos are better 😅
but it doesn't have to produce any downforce.
deez nutz
1 dislike????
The bite-sized accountant inadvertently lie because hardboard eventually cause circa a jealous description. profuse, flaky mouth
Yeah I heard the F1 was a real flop back in the day.

you blind or jealous?
So much marketing bullshit xD
If you want such video, show real CDF next time :3
