More advice: I noticed when you were hunting the great Jaguars you were having difficulty finding the monster. What I noticed was your running past your scout flies. Just slow down a little and pay attention to which way the scout flies go sometimes they go in multiple directions one will indicate a material to pick up but the other one might be a track that you need to pick up. It’s only like this from the very beginning of the game the more tracks you pick up the easier it is to find the monsters
I remember people complaining about the neck snap the scout flies would do to the camera in the beginning of World. Now it seems it would be a great help?
So glad you didn’t use the defender gear. It completely trivializes the base game. And as for you wondering about rushing to Iceborne to get to the good stuff, both the base game and Iceborne are excellent. Don’t forget we were all loving the base game for 2 years before Iceborne let us continue our save file. You’d be missing that experience by using defender gear. I wouldn’t look at base world as a stepping stone. It’s an excellent game on its own.
Trivializes? Not exactly, but it does stop you from learning how many of the skills work and matter. I hate helping out a random hunter and seeing them run full defender gear and weapon when they’re at like the end of High Rank or even worse, Master Rank
Man i love the MH community. Somewhere in the universe someone starts his first monter hunter playthrough and we are like flies: watch, watch, joy , rage, advise and love watching everything 😂😭
Ellie when first starting in monster hunter game in the beginning just pick up and carve everything. All plants, bugs, mushrooms carve any small animals any bones and mining you can do up to three times just hold the button down. That includes the monster tracks. The monster tracks coincide with your monster notebook in the settings. The more tracks you pick up the more detailed the notes about the individual monster get
I'm not sure why people would advise against it, but I found that looking up a tutorial video when trying a new weapon is a much more concise way to learn both the main mechanics of them as well as learning what your bread-and-butter combos/big move for when a monster is down are. World was my first MH as well, and I was able to pick up five different weapon classes to swap between thanks to some handy tutorial-making folk on here. Cool that you stuck with the IG after the beta though, it's one of the ones I haven't tried yet because I didn't want to learn the Kinsect management stuff.
If you ever have quick questions about weapons or other things in the game, there are a bunch of answers in the “Hunter’s Note” section of your options. There are a few other weapon mechanics for the IG that you’ll discover that way
welcome to the world of Monster Hunter ❤❤ a new hunter is born. Best time ever to start since WILDS is coming out next year, also just subscribed to you channel to witness your journey. Happy Hunting from a fellow Great Sword User.
Great react 🎉🎉, The secret of IG is to make the insect collect red, white and brown stratum, with the 3 it literally changes the animations of your weapon and makes the attacks even stronger, normally the mouth and claws give red, the leg white, and the belly brown, but each enemy varies, in the wild it is easier to see because it indicates which color you will get, but in the world you have to memorize each monster
Wow honestly took me ages to finally see the room and training area, I started playing cos a friend wanted me too and they neglected to mention it so I was just always out hunting with them xD Hope you continue to enjoy the game was a great watch
my only real advice with this game series, pick the gear that looks cool and have fun lol Always glad to see someone get into monhun, even if world is the weird one
When sleeping listen to your breaths. Take deep breaths and listen to the breaths, focus only on the breaths. My mind usually starts quieting on its own while doing this.
It's surprising there's no actual veteran player from the viewers to teach her the full potential of insect glaive. The training area doesn't really reveal everything you can do with all the weapons that's why it's confusing to others.
I'm surprised there's no veteran player to teach her most things. the amount of times she asks a question and then doesnt get an answer is frustrating XD
Aim while holding the Left trigger button when your weapons out and press the north button (triangle for PS) to send the bug to hit a part of the monster's body, then call it back with the east button (circle for PS) to absorb the essence before sending it out again on a different monster part, your goal is to line up a red, white, and orange essence to fully power up your weapon. If correctly done you'll notice you are doing almost three times more hits during your attack combos. While in the air after vaulting, aim to hit the monster with the east button (circle for PS), if the last attack connects, you'll bounce back up in the air again, you can do this up to three times, after that, you can use that plunging attack you do quite often in the video to end your air combos as a finisher. That's as much Insect Glaive that I know, I'm a shield main. Hope you stay on with MonHunt 🖖🏻
Yes, always carve and collect, you will need the materials for weapon and armour upgrades. You have to craft to progress in the game. It's gear/skill based not level based. Good luck, hope you stick with it 😄
You prolly should slap those three people who told you not to watch a video, each weapon has either a learning curve or a learning Mobius strip. When I played World I had played a month before I found out about some of my Weapons inner secrets.
Stick to it. MH can be very hard because of the quantity of information and lack of accessibility to it. But its worth it. when you start to really understand the underlayer of the game and how the dev think, you see an ocean of good ideas and the experience behind the series. And if you like from software challenge, you will love MH end game challenges. Its a long run to get there. very long for a new player probably. But you would love it.
02:44:49 bruh ... how can you be this blind to the interface. like I get you don't wanna be "boring" and so you focus on keeping everything going, but sometimes you really are better off slowing down and actually figuring things out instead of blindly running around and repeatedly asking what you're supposed to do EDIT: 02:47:27 okay yeah that's fair. they do start you off as if you hadn't spotted the monster before, which is confusing since you DID in fact spot it XD
monster hunter world was my introduction to the franchise and weapon guides by Arekkz Gaming helped me understand weapons movesets. good job making use of the training room, happy hunting
Everyone who is questioning if it is needed to carve a Monster, regardless of size, is not a real Hunter. I hope her Mindset will change over time. See you in Wilds.
2:44:49 - "Why is the game not telling me to do this?" The game is telling you, you're just not paying attention lol. Hopefully your chat catches you up though. Blaming the game while using less than 1% brainpower to figure out what to do is such a wild thing to me
it's common with streamers since they're focused on interacting with chat and not fully focusing on the game. doesn't help that chat gives very incomplete advice that just leads to more questions
@@lurakin88 Yeah, I know ^^ I usually don't actually complain about it, as it just spreads negativity even more, I was probably having a shit day.. I don't mind people missing things, but I do find it a bit annoying when they blame the game while it's clearly their own "fault". That being said, I do apologize for being a nagative moron in your comments if you ever see it Ellie Beans ^^ I'll try to do better :D
I bought this game Idk how long ago but never liked it for some reason and stopped playing it. Hopefully seeing someone else play it will make me interested in it cause its a waste to buy games you wont play and cant sell cause its digital.
It seems to me most people don't like Monster Hunter when they first try it. I was one of these people, now i have 500 hours in the game lol My best advice would be to try to find the weapon that suits you best. Using the longsword completely changed my outlook on the game personnally
Honestly, the Soulsborne>MH pipeline is so real, MH1 helped inspire the Souls series so its a natural progression for fans
Are two different games liking or not it’s only subjectives.
Nr.1 Tip for any new MH player. Gather/Carve everything in the beginning.

Agreed. Funny enough, base world was probably better before Iceborne came out because of defender gear + clutch claw tenderize and wallbang
yea this!!! ^^^^^

I'm just mainning with S&S, I like to think that at any point I can just play the whole game again with another rma. The game is so big!

Welcome to Monster Hunter really happy to see more people getting into the series
you can change the button lay out to playstation in the main menu > options > Interface > gamepad button icon selection
Thank-youuuu!!!

gj skipping the guardian set. that thing cut away like 30% of the game content
1:30:29 that's Matt Mercer btw. lol
When sleeping listen to your breaths. Take deep breaths and listen to the breaths, focus only on the breaths. My mind usually starts quieting on its own while doing this.
Also i generally suggest wearing what you like early on. Worry about good gear later.
well, welcome new hunter! have some! get some!
Choose a weapon and then watch Arekkz Gaming’s video on it. That guy is fantastic for newcomers

When youre a little more accustmed to the game, theres some indepth menuing to learn that can make the game a lot easier to understand
Pukei Pukei got that Gene Simmons tongue.
Can get MHW save editor to refresh your vouchers to edit character/palico appearance for free. Just stay away from the cheat options lol
you see, its very hard to look in a safe with 100 billion dollars in it, and take only 5 dollars, really really hard. so id recommend no mods at all
