I've always found adjusting the disc damper springs confusing. I usually just use a recommended setup. Any chance you could make a video about how changing the disc damper springs affects handling?

Now that the Mini-z come with bearings, my first recommendation for upgrade is always a disc damper. It really is the most important part for a consistent car.
The motor pod is often a recommendation for classes that use motors where the optimal gear range is greater than that which the plastic can offer. The LM plastic pod is quite good with the MML (r246-1356) damper assembly at 98mm, or even the standard LM plastic damper is good enough to use at 102mm with some tuning.
A good budget option for the 94-98mm wheelbase cars, is the MZ-217 MM2 rear pod. It has a negative of a slightly higher motor position, but includes an integrated disc damper, which makes it a great value for the performance. More ideal for a 94mm car, but it works well with mid to rear cab 98mm cars as well.

I was under the impression that adding the disc damper mod would DQ me from racing in box stock in most places, is that true? Perhaps not an issue for most people who would just race stock class instead, but I'm just getting going and box stock is my class at the moment.

@@cosmicstuff44 read the rule set for where you plan to race. Box stock often disallows adding a disc damper, but LM 102mm cars come with an integrated one and slip by that rule depending on the ruleset.

Interesting. I see you have wide tires in front. What type of race track are you running wide tires? Short track with lots of turns?

Yeah lots of turns, but i mainly use them to scrub off speed at entry so i dont need to break 👍
