True words, ELF as a fandom is still growing and we are here to stay, as long as they walk with us. I am a new ELF myself, i became a fan last year with Lo Siento, but i feel like i will stay here forever, my bias is Donghae and he is my true love, he is a bit clumsy and has a hard time speaking his own language, but that is why we love him!
By the way, he speaks a decent English as well! Latina ELF here!!

Donghae just being pabo 0hae 😂😂😂 he's super junior baby. He's originally from Mokpo not Seoul so the korean is a bit different and has some dialect, meanwhile in Seoul they have quite modernized korean.
Super Junior paved the way 👑💙 and they still open new doors for kpop to become more worldwide to this day. They are the first korean act to enter the Billboard Latin chart, the first to do actual collaboration with latin artists and the first to release a whole K-latin pop album. After SuJu's K-latin songs, other korean groups started to do the same
nah Donghae just struggles more than normal but is fluent in every other language
Donghae couldn't speak Korean fluently coz he's originally from the countryside of South Korea. He got a particular dialect that doesn't really go well with how people in Seoul speak. I guess :)
I first found out about suju because of siwon acting in she was pretty and then I just fell in love with them... My fav is heechul 🙌🏽

another interesting reaction! loved that. for donghae, he actually can speak korean yet he doesn't usually talk, but he's a singer songwriter, he writes lyrics so thoughtfully and beautifully. might as well check one more chance mv, he composed it! thank you for this video
Donghae's just shy and makes him talk less and sometimes hesitate what to talk 😂😂 so that's why members usually tease him like he's actually a foreigner and so on 😂😂 he's not a Spanish speaker but idk how he manage to give such that pronunciation when he never actually learn Spanish besides for the song 😂😂
Donghae was born in faraway land of Mokpo which is at the very tip of South Korea which has a different dialect and when trainees go to Seoul, they were required to learn how to speak the Seoul way. I think Heechul mentioned in one show that they were not even allowed to speak in their native dialect. I don't know if that had some kind of influence with Donghae struggling with Korean language or he really is just being his unique adorable and sometimes epic fail self hahahahah

I love your reactions to their videos. Speaking of OGs of Kpop, you should try watching Shinhwa. They debuted in 1998 with SM entertainment, same agency as Super Junior, and left when their contract was over. They're still active and have not lost or replaced any members in their group. I love hearing about their backstory because of their loyalty towards each other and they're one of the groups that others like Super Junior look up to.
Also, TVXQ is really good, too. Same agency and they're close friends with Super Junior, debuting in 2003 and are still active, but with two members. They're really big in Japan, having been the first foreign artists to perform in the Nissan Stadium that has the highest seating capacity in Japan (more than 70,000). They recently filmed a TH-cam series with some of the members of Super Junior called Analog Trip where they traveled to Indonesia together.

Ok, este vídeo tiene mucho tiempo y probablemente ya lo sepáis, pero Donghae habla perfectamente coreano. Lo que ocurre es que es algo tímido y en los programas suele ponerse nervioso cuando tiene que hablar, lo que hace que a veces no pronuncie del todo bien alguna palabra o se trabe al decirlas. Lo de que no sabe hablar coreano es sólo una broma que le hacen los otros miembros y los fans, pero no es más que eso, una broma ^^
Ah, y otro dato. Ninguno de los miembros sabe hablar español, quizás el que sabe algo más es Yesung porque estuvo estudiando un poco. Es cierto que Donghae tiene una buenísima pronunciación, pero no sabe hablar el idioma.

Pequeña acotación🤣 Leí en los otros vídeos comentarios sobre que DongHae no habla bien su propio idioma(??) Es verdad, solo que no tan literal. A lo que los fans se refieren es que los demás suelen molestarlo porque él es algo torpe y a veces se enreda con las palabras. No es que no lo hable bien o que tenga dificultades con el coreano, sino que su torpeza a veces ha hecho que tenga malas pasadas con el autocorrector o con la escritura coreana. A veces ha escrito cosas que traducidas son algo muy diferente🤣 Por eso le dicen que no sabe hablar su propio idioma LOL Como que es un tipo algo atolondrado con ciertas cosas. Por otro lado también está el hecho de que es provinciano, no del mismo Seúl, entonces dudo que ahora lo tenga pero años atrás tenía acento (lo que le dicen "dialecto"), que es diferente del coreano de la capital. Entonces va más por ese sentido, porque en realidad es muy bueno con los idiomas. Ellos mismos han declarado que el chino (por ejemplo) es muy difícil y que los que mejor lo hablan (más fluido) son SiWon y DongHae.
Ojalá se vea mi comentario, para que no piensen que DongHae es un estúpido porque sí(????????) 🤣
