I loved the Killer Bees back in the day. I would pick these up, but it looks like the only place is overseas from Epic, and I just can't justify $100 by the time I pay $30+ for shipping.
Same here. I just bought a Bobby Heenan on figure collections to avoid overseas shipping. But I could only get black jacket version. They are sold out unfortunately with the killer bees
Killer Bees were a solid mid card baby face team and they had a hell of a series of house show matches with the Hart Foundation. They split up right around the late summer of 88 when the Rockers came in and Blair left a few weeks later while Brunzell became more or less a straight jobber with some credentials all the way up until 1992. That kinda bummed me out because by the early 90's the crowds didn't even pop for Brunzell. The Bees were pretty over from 1986-1988 though. So it was a little jarring to see how far Brunzell fell in the fans eyes.
@KylePeterson1980 I guess there is a reason why I don't collect Mattel (not retros), anyway I missed on buying these, but I hope they will be up for sale again. Great review.
How could you not mention Barbarian with the antlers with the next series?! That's the one I'm looking most forward to. I picked up the Killer Bees. They're awesome.
I really like these figures. I really don't like that they sold out so quickly and I am going to have to pay a premium to get them. One detail I would point out is that Brunzell only wore wrist tape on his left wrist, but I'm sure they had to go with both taped because of reuse of parts. At any rate, everything else on both of these is spot on. Masks are terrible, though.
It looks fine in most reviews when they actually put them on correctly. It's just not the easiest thing to deal with. Some people prefer soft goods like that and some people don't. Other reviewers are saying that the masks make these figures. I would prefer swappable heads too, because those masks will get dirty over time, stretch out, and may be prone to tearing.
Not knowing some wrestlers from the 80s is certainly nothing to be ashamed of. Knowing the band Stryper and going anywhere for 5 seconds of them, however, is definitely something to be ashamed of.
Wow Kyle Peterson the Killer Bees 🐝 🐝.40 yrs ago we are the world was the number 1 song & the Killer Bees was one of my favorite WWF tag team then.
Loved that the killer bees got some figures. One of the most underrated teams
Both look amazing great detail Awesome throw and review 🐝 👍 😎
The Killer Bees are a total Classic. I remember them well from back in the 80s. Awesome review Kyle.

great 2 see killer bees figure😊
Good timing was just talking about them and this era of tag teams w a buddy last weekend.
80s tag teams! Was there a better era? Some will argue 2000s hardys dudleys, & edge & Christian. Killer bees were underrated imo.

Why have the magnetic head? If you display that, how do you decide which head to display?
I guess it’s no different than a mattel that comes with two heads choose the one you like best

I always always always always press the like button ✅✅✅
The soft good masks remind me of ski masks. I think they are going to rob a bank after they wrestle.
Totally agree. They should've gone with the magnetic heads. That mask looks terrible

@shawnpatrick1877 totally agree
Never heard of these people in my life. I came for my 5 second’s of Stryper
