I agree mixing small projects with large projects keeps me engaged. As long as I get something done I'm okay. I love the gnomes.😊

I am making a lot of small projects since I was gifted LOTS of yarn, but there's hardly any full skeins. Some are not enough to make a preemie hat so I have to mix and match. But I'm having fun doing it and trying to be creative enough to come up with different things. But charity is near and dear to my heart, so I'm making things to donate. Maybe a Boggy Creek blanket will be on the list to donate next year. Happy Scrappy Blanket.

I feel your pain when you are working a project and feel like you are getting nowhere. Don't give up....they are so rewarding when they are finally done! Give it a good tug and a wash and it will straighten out. May not be perfect, but you will hardly notice! I think it looks beautiful ❤️

It’s funny how you say you don’t like the continuous repetition of the single crochet. Because I love that! The make-alongs sound like fun! Have a great day!!
I like easy to remember patterns, but SC is a slow go. I prefer a larger stitch. I really like the knotted HDC that I just learned in the Cats Meow blanket. But the joined DC I learned last year is probably my favorite now.

I find the same satisfaction in my counted cross stitch projects….make something small in between the large projects. I love crocheting blankets and baby items…still hoping to crochet the cardigan you made out of the beautiful skinny cakes❤Hope the healing is going well! Yes, tension is tricky in getting things evened out. Congratulations on your 5K!! I've been using a stitch pattern by Bag O Day, a gentle wave pattern, which might work for your soon to be frogged yarn. Best wishes on your healing process. 🙏💕

Hi Lynette. I had knee surgery 2 years ago. My knee is still stiff and swollen. I’m glad yours is doing well. I get around just fine. I make it to your videos every day. Love them. Congrats on your milestone.

Polly Plum has a new blanket pattern out called Step 2 It that I’m making (in Boggy Creek Size) that is so much fun and QUICK! It’s a CAL right now, but only the border left to come out, which I believe is on Thursday.

We all frog at some time. The good news is that most yarn is easily reusable!

Hi, I’m using the same yarn, big twist sunrise ombre, and big twist varsity orange and yellow, on a baggy creek blanket #2, going slow, but at least it is still (mostly) a rectangle, lol. I really appreciate that you share your crocheting woes 😖 as well as your crocheting successes 😀. Been there, done that. I would like to do the dishcloths, too, as I have the book and yarn! 🧶 So many projects, so little time. Congrats on the new camper, looking forward to the tour. Have a great week!
I think the dishcloths will be fast projects. I think that ombre yarn was created with BC blankets in mind! It's so perfect!
🎉 YAY! YAY! 🎉 CONGRATULATIONS on a RETIREMENT CAMPER!! How exciting is that! Aww, I wish you both many happy healthy years of travel in your new camper. Not so sure I should yay or nay 4 more projects. You sound like a glutton for punishment, like me. lol. Lynette, you stuck it out a lot longer than I did, when I did that Tunisian, or I should say when I did NOT do that Tunisian blanket! I tried. I really did and I was doing well for a bit, even with the pearls and the 3 stitches in one, but then I looked down and noticed I dropped a stitch about 4 or so rows below. That was the end of that Bkanket. But I do really love your sunrise color and can’t wait to see what stitches takes the Tunisians place. The peeper gnomes are so funny, I saw someone did a ghost that had 2 pumpkins 🎃 on either side of it, when you picked up the ghost was the peen lol. I’m looking forward to seeing this new colab you guys do, sounds fun, I think…I was thinking what If the other person chooses some real yucky patterns for you to use on the special hanks you’ve saved forever for that so called perfect pattern. Then you said the exact thing, good that they choose 2, and not just 1, more of a chance to get something you may like. So glad that your knee is healing well, I have to say I sorta got the shivers when you said you’re having your other knee done so soon. You have more guys than me, I had a fusion years ago in my lower spine, and that was a heck of a doozy of a surgery (wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy) so any surgery gets me nervous. My rotator cuff went easier than I expected and I was supposed to do the 2nd one and life got in the way of doing it but I don’t think I would do it so soon after my 1st. Ok I ramble, sorry. Just happy you are healing well and will soon be off in a new lovely camper.
I love the idea of the ghost peens!! That's fabulous. Back surgery is not something I would ever want to do. I'm glad you are healed up. I have started a new blanket with the ombre yarn. You will see it very soon!

I first saw that gnome on Nova's channel - I still lol every time I see it. I made the Cat's Meow blanket but did not follow the written pattern. I used the chart only and did it using the Tunisian Mosaic technique. But I would never continue a project that I didn't enjoy making. Life is too short for that. It's OK to frog it without any guilt whatsoever.
I will finish that blanket before the blankets get delivered to Boggy. I like watching it grow, it's just a slow grow. I get bored. But it will get done.
I hate you had trouble with your Tunisian blanket. It's beautiful yarn. Maybe you could do a dc. Or hdc. I finished my hookervshooker project. Working on some amigarumi projects. Then Monsters! I was gifted the book by a friend for an early bday present. Much love and take care ❤

I am sorry that you had trouble with your Tunisian project. It can be hard to find your tension and keep everything straight at first. I am totally confident that if you choose to try it again you will master it!!

Tension is always an issue with me. I will try tunisian again. Just not with this blanket. I'm turning it into another blanket!
