This was great up until halfway thru. The vocals went on singing when it should have been silent, so it was jarring to hear it mismatch the new instrumentation. If you go and do quick search at sound cloud, you'll find one done better. Hope that helps.
Did you check Temple of Drifting Sands with old vocals and The Lost Forest with new vocals and strings? The Lost Forest sounds very cool after ~1:20 (when comes the difference of old and new strings)
