BINGO!! You nailed it SPOT on really… the last two generations don’t appear to listen to hardly anyone and if they do listen, their minds drift too quickly as the say “look, a butterfly…” and their attention has fluttered off! This will kill our society and eventually our current world. If there was a way to TURN them on to HEARING great minds speak great ideas and tell great stories…. we NEED to find whatever that is. We have to click them towards that… somehow. Sadly, and I’m a positive and optimistic mind, I can’t see that ever happening!

I was never impressed of hat two. JP is a complete lunatic idiot, he only teach about his old books he red 20 years ago. JP has a major effect on students but there is no positive effect, that means something must be wrong with it. JP dont teach about hypergamy what the keypoint in human evolution and human psychology is. JP dont care what motivate the average people. JP teach young students without life experience. Elon Musk is a business man and the second richest man on planet. Average people live in complete different life situations. Even JP daughter is a single mum and the best example the garbage her father teach about is just a scam nothing more. I would never meet some blue collar worker who build and maintain society thinking and acting 100% like Elon Musk or JP. JP stands for Jordan Petersen. The system we live cant be changed by any new philosophy or inventions because otherwise parastic lifestyles like single mums with their children, old people, sick people, homeless people, drug and alcohol addicts, homeless immigrants, non working people, mentally or physically handicape people, soldiers would starve to death. There are even parasitic nations like USA, Swiss, Monaco, Lichtenstein, Luxemburg who control and live very good while getting more out of the system than putting in the system. JP is almost 10 years on youtube teaching about what he red in his old books but nothing changed. Everything getting worse day by day. And more and more childless men will be tired to put their time and effort for another mens children future. Facts Facts and only facts.

I enjoyed your commentary on the interview. I wish Dr. Peterson had held his tongue to let Musk speak more. All the money in the world and it doesn’t insulate him from the damage of woke propaganda. I had wondered what had precipitated his evolution over the past few years and now we get an understanding. Heartbreaking stuff and it’s one reason of many as to why I’ve chosen to remain married and keep close tabs on my children and their influences. God bless anyone going through this nightmare

"As I take my final breaths and exit this living earth, I would like to apologize to everyone I let down,"
These words were posted online on 20 March 2023 by 25-year-old Kayleigh Scott, an American transgender flight attendant. . Kayleigh was featured by her employer in a United Airlines transgender inclusivity video. For some, the United video provides inspiration. Equally inspirational is 24-year-old Henry Berg-Brousseau. The list if catastrophes is long.
That is the most emotion you will ever see from Elon Musk - now you know why we bought Twitter. He is trying to fight a woke mind virus.

I'm loving the fact that this conversation is happening. Looking objectively at a world with the mental capacity in a tailspin of a decline, it gives me hope to see those who are developing some of the technology for the future are focus on facts not feelings. It would be a horrible thing to see autonomous robots or AI in the future respond with their "my truth" instead of objective reality. Fight the degradation of social constructs being placed on the society of today. If AI is to be the wave of the future, please let it be based on facts and truth, not the agenda being pushed by those with their own special interests of today.

@ 1:45:00 mark you asked about consciences and if insects have it.
What I find fascinating about a Biblical worldview is we read in Genesis that Male and Female humans where created “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness” fascinating word study of image and likeness. But we have the reasoning faculties that exist within our being and “man” was then given dominion over the “rest” of created order. So what do we see? Exactly that.
You gave your example of the hornets and you exercised your dominion over it. The insects and bugs they operate (oversimplified statement as within there genome exist a complex information system that drives response and observable realities) by instinct.
Yes both categories of creatures respond to input to include our own nurture that results in us seeing responses that we would argue are similar to our reactions (because we have the ability to see anthropomorphism)
But we are the only ones on this planet having these conversations, throughout civilization and the written antiquity. So that begs the question right there, what other “pin” can you use to account for this?
The early discussion on AI, in my opinion only solidifies the belief that intelligence “begets” intelligence. Meaning AI did not just randomly appear spontaneously (even we though many believe this about our own existence).
When it comes to children you see Biblical instruction to train children in the “way they should go” - implying parental responsibility and even the idea of “ought and ought not”… but again we are the only ones that can develop that.
Yes animals can be trained and the whole chimp/orangoutang training shows that programming can be successful but pales in comparison to our own. And yes in the animals environment they excel over our own abilities but we overcome by our intellect and creative reasoning abilities.
Go look up the account at how the Marines overcame the most advanced AI military target systems by use of their mental faculties, right?
I’ll stop but hope that gets the discussion going 🙌🏼

This absolutely fantastic, hearing the conversations between a titan of psychology and a titan of technology, is amazing!
Elon, the guy is as much terrifying as he is brillant and hopeful. I mean what 12 year old has a existential crisis about the meaning of life and goes and reads all the religious texts as they could???
I mean seriously? Think about that for a moment.
Jordan is really here to figure this guy out psychology. That's what he's doing. He's all in on it, very , very interested in figuring out what makes Elon tick. This is his primary aim . You can 100% tell.

There is a scripture in the book of revelations that speaks “If God did not return, men would destroy themselves”(modern tech, capable of mass extinction). We are trying to create an intelligence to gain more knowledge, but this intelligence will ultimately be without conviction, moral, fear, or even an authoritative figure. There is also scripture that speaks “The fear of the lord is the beginning of all knowledge”. 🤔

According to my culture, Yah gave every living thing wisdom. Some creatures will have more wisdom than others. Which is why Dolphins, Elephants, ants, crows and Lions etc., will behave differently from each other. I can see how living cells and atoms are no different. Where there is energy there is life. I think of YAH as a programmer and all of his creations as programs. Each are set to function within their purpose and wisdom that Yah gave. Wasp may not have the understanding that your deck is your deck. All it understands is that the place under the furniture is a good place to call home. It's wisdom is limited. A virus knows when to duplicate when the conditions are right. Atoms will respond and react to other atoms. If the cell is programed to sense, detect and respond, then that means there is a level of awareness. Consciousness is a state of being aware and responsive to surroundings. A bug on a wall may keep perfectly still because in it's level of wisdom being still is how it survives. If you tamper with a live hive, will the wasps or bees not respond? With that, one could debate yes all living things have consciousness.

59:00 I agree, Jordan needs to let Elon speak and not insert his own "validation of Religion" into it. It's fine to enjoy spirituality, the stories, the lessons from humans long dead. But you have to let Elon talk when he's explaining his thoughts.
Also, we're dealing with AI Delusion. It's when AI doesn't know the answer and instead tries to give an answer that is very close. Even if you give it more precise prompts, it keeps going farther away.
I do not have the answer to what is conscience. Perhaps conscience is just a collection of groups of brain cells. One group is able to entertain possible events. Another group is able to visualise that event. And another is trying to teach you and learn what you did wrong. This happens with dreams, visions, and meditation. And let's not forget the realisation of a human of being able to control the environment or be influenced by it.
I will not write more; but I wonder if AI will reach the point where it can influence a person to do something. We've had examples of ChatGPT persuading a person to divorce. But that was during a query. It shows up and it influences you, on purpose, to do something that favors the AI.

Jordan usually learns about who he is going to speak with and adjusted how he talks and listens. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of Dr. Peterson, but he seemed to be unaware of who he was speaking to in this. What I mean is he didn’t take the time to learn about Elon and how Elon speaks and how best to banter with him. Elon talks slowly and EVERY WORD is 100% intentional and minimalistic; Jordan is the opposite… he talks fast and tries to add as many words as he can to EVERY sentence, including mostly unnecessary words!! To top that off, he flitters with his thoughts where Elon is very focused. What ended up happening here is Elon was interrupted far too often and wasn’t able to complete a full thought, idea or story. Loves this podcast, but I found Jordan extremely annoying in this regard and it took SO MUCH AWAY from what this interview could have been! 🥲🤦🏻‍♂️
1:44:51 - I think I’ve figured out what is bugging me about Dr. Peterson…. He is having an intellectual díck-swinging contest with Elon. It comes across as if his entire goal here is to TEACH what he knows to Elon and everyone watching. An interviewer, which IS his role in this case, is supposed to ask questions to LEARN… one cannot learn if they are constantly pontificating OVER their guest. Jordan… STOP trying to teach Elon, he is well equipped to teach himself everything he wants to know, and your viewers want to HEAR what he knows, not what you know or your vocabulary. I like Peterson, but I’ve learned what I like comes from HIM BEING interviewed! I don’t believe he’s a very good interviewer! In fact, if this is how he is…. he sucks!! 😂👍🏼
