Junkyard Adventures! 1991 Mazda B2200. Better than the Ranger that replaced it.

  • Great compact trucks! This and the Mitsubishi MightyMax are on my bucket list to own. My buddy had one and it was a durable reliable truck for sure.

That was a nice truck with the 2.2. I rented a 1991 Mazda with the shortbed and that engine in early that year. It was a nice driving truck that felt good through the gears and was reasonably comfortable to cruise around in. I remember that shifter and dash layout well :)

Agreed. They were almost car like to drive, and the small engine still managed some pep.

I had a 1987 Ford Ranger 4x4 that I bought new. Never had a bit of trouble with it. They were great trucks!

I ad a ranger that I loved, until some dumb distracted driver totaled it and 3 other cars at once.

I have a 78 courier, 83 and was roll over and I rebuild it and then I bought an 88 B2200 brand new! I loved all my Mazda's and was super sad when they became rebadged rangers!!! My 83 regularly got almost 30 mpg.

i had one about that age, I finally had to sell it as it was too slow for the mountains here. It did not have the power to get up the hills
