Greetings Crespo..... Man, I might have to drop out.... I'm scheduled for onboarding on February 10th but they want me to drive 560 miles from my home terminal....
@ yes I applied at the Apple Valley California DC and the Onboarding is taking place in Red Bluff California....after watching videos that only 50% of the drivers make it, I am like!... mmmmm maybe its too far just for them to tell me, i didn't make the cut 🤣
@KevinMejia-y6u I am but might want to find someone that drives that area and ask I heard it's different depending on region and if it's a grocery or general merchandise DC
Omg during my PTI. I forgot on day 3 forgot to mention no space on my apron and 5th wheel and the facilitator bent over and looked and said “are you forgetting something” lol he helped me out. Very fun exciting and stressful experience. Love Walmart. Gimme a W……!
Wow only 15/30 made it! 😮 That pre-trip sounds intense, they got the drivers dropping it low 😄 great insight thanks for sharing your journey! Best of luck!
Great advice, tips and thanks for sharing...can't wait to see how everything goes throughout your journey! Good luck! Fave tip btw (do your squats lol)
I start my on-boarding next week in Garland,TX ,been with Pepsi for 5 yrs. I've driven 53 fters only a hand full of times. My everyday is a 48fter I feel that's the only thing I could mess up on but hopefully I can make it 💪🏿
I just finished my first week with my trainer in Sanger. I saw you in the DC, but didn’t have time to say hi. I’ll see you there soon I’m sure. Your videos helped me bro! Thank you!
They do train some associates that will like to be truck drivers. But it's not easy to qualify for the employee to driver program. Other than that you do need experience.
@@truckercrespo4573 thanks bro. I only have 6 months of experience 15 years ago but really want to drive for Walmart it’s seems they are the best, should I still apply or get more experience?
My DC is mostly delivering at distribution center the groceries DC will do more stores than DC. But they are hiring hourly local drivers in certain areas for store deliveries

@@KevinMejia-y6u man I would try it. You are getting paid $24 an hour while on onboarding.
@@truckercrespo4573 I will give it a try... Are you taking home at least $3k biweekly? that's what I'm making here as a local driver

you will be ok. just be patient take your time get out and look while backing. what dc did you apply for?
I know a guy that didn’t make it said he would not have went if they would have told him that you could be dropped
I didn't quit my job before I went to orientation just in case.
Some people in my onboarding quit their job and didn't make it. It's sad

i work in the warehose in walmart , i want to become a driver where do i apply ? how can i qualify ?
Ask human resource if they are going to have the associate to driver position open and if so when.
Do they train new drivers or do they only hire experience drivers?
They do train some associates that will like to be truck drivers. But it's not easy to qualify for the employee to driver program. Other than that you do need experience.

Do they do alcohol test as well ?

What do you mean all tandems are out?
Tandem lock pins. Sorry
How many years driving experience do you need
30 months of current truck driving experience
Hey do you have to get another DOT physical if you just got one a few months ago. Thanks I’m a little nervous my onboarding is the end of this month.
Yes. You will have to do a drug test during onboarding once you pass on onboarding you will get a new physical for your medical card.
Will you be delivering to stores or the dcs
