Great, great tip. It's something hard to feel at first, but after many errors and strain you understand that it's all a matter of making it happen, not forced to happen.
I've wondered about this for a long time now. It just felt weird so I just tried to relax and find a natural feel. Of course, then i thought i wasn't getting it and probably could be doing it better...
For me it works SO MUCH. But its not bringing the belly in really, is a contraction of the whole abdominal muscle that supports the flow of air out, and it really makes it dooo much easier in the vocal cords. But i am begonner and just starting to learn, doing what my teacher says
The timing of your videos continues to amaze me. It’s exactly what I need when I need it THANK YOU!!! I’ve been trying to teach myself to sing for a year now but I’ve seen little progress. I’m thinking something is wrong with my foundation. Quick question, should I only work on breathing, pitch and vowels or Is something else I should look into?
Sir Eric, I have a question. I feel like when I was singing my voice comes from my throat that it has a like some I don't know how to put it but i feel like my voice is not smooth it's likely loud and not beautiful to hear it's like I'm singing but I sing like I shout.. And there's time that my voice becomes smooth and I feel comfortable with it but I feel like my voice comes from my head, face and mouth... And so my question is what does singing sound and feel like?
I wish you were my singing teacher. I've no one to teach me.. I just watched some TH-cam videos I Try to sing.. But whenever I try to sign I feel so much tightness and like feel trapped in sight.. Like my voice doesn't want to out.
@@ericarceneaux dude!!! Thank you that made it clear 🙏🏾 the exercise really highlighted the connection between releasing the air and the core! Thanks again 💯

OMG!!! You're so correct. I literally drag in my tummy and still wonder what's wrong. Now this!!! God bless you.
I'm not sure what's lower, Eric's voice or the cut of his shirt.
Both are enjoyably distracting 😶🌫️

OK , will try it
Wow......never heard it that way
Thx, eric
So we should still engage our abdominal muscles but not to the point it feels forced?
Is the idea of trying to push out with your stomach also a myth? Been struggling for years

Wow I was actually doing this and my voice would crack like 1 song in , in choir 😂
Now when I sing and I go higher am I suppose to feel a harder push not in my belly but in my chest if you answer questions can you answer that for me
I would say you should feel your core working harder so yeah
Yes you are
Wow. 😍
I wish you were my singing teacher.

Like my voice doesn't want to out.
How do we “let” it move?
Now I’m in slight pain… so is it not that I need to engage my core or is it more so that I just need to take deeper breathes?

I once had a voice tutor (classical) push her fist into my solar plexus and have me sing and push against her. Can't say it helped!
thnk uuu
💖👍🏼💖
oops. This actually works better.
So wdut People mean when they say Sb is talented? That their technique is correct refardless
is correct despite no lessons
Not taking lessons
👍🏻👍🏻🆗
Sing from your stomach? What a joke!
I am not sure how to do this, can you like remove some clothing so that I can see your stomache? For educational purposes only, OF COURSE!
