Nothing wrong about the review btw as a Honda City owner who has driven 87k kms I would suggest you test drive before taking a decision and I know this is just a deceptive facade and on highways if you travel with full load that's where you start hating this engine.

This car will not break sales , but this one will stay in the market for long because of its pricing, and absence of some of its features are strategically made in order to cut on those extra lakhs. And become the cheapest good looking car , with space and powerful engine in the Under 15 lakh SUV segment.
I don't think this is missing any features!! It's missing some topend features like ventilated seats ,panoramic sunroof other than those it's well loaded.. Honda's are decently loaded from the base variant but others are bare basic .. The competition if we check those features are limited to topend!! VWs , Skoda, Honda are not fancy or gimmicky, they are well engineered cars that are to enjoy being driven!! Ivtec always makes us 😁

Either you get a lot of gimmicky features or you can get reliability and safety ,I feel this car looks great , very simple and subtle while looking huge . its like one expects great mileage and engine smoothness from Maruti but not safety , loads of features in kia and Hyundai not safety , reliability from Honda and Toyota but less features , safety from Tata and Mahindra etc .
Unfortunately, VW and Skoda exist - they have more features than this, a more powerful engine AND are also safe. Of course Honda could price this cheaper than the Kushaq/Taigun but we need to wait and see.

A simple car with no gimmicks and great engine. If they price this right, good portion of people would buy this. However, this isn't going to break any sale records as most people like gimmicks.
Koreans, no matter what the build quality or the cars making all sorts of noises post 4 years of ownership, have spoilt the market by giving so many features that their cars are the benchmark. Honda could have added a 360 camera at the very least to give some breathing room to the salesmen on the ground to make a push for sales. One may not need a 360 camera or a sunroof, but then greed is endless and perception matters. The car looks excellent though, will again do well at launch due to new model frenzy but will eventually fizzle out. I hope the management gets the HRV or other cars back on Indian roads and not treat as unworthy of good cars from Honda.

No Hybrid / No ventilated seats / No head rest for middle passenger / No EPB / No autohold / No 360 camera / No rear disc brakes / No 3 point seatbelt for middle passenger in the back. And No the driving experience doesn't make up for the lack of everything. Everything else are more or less personal preference.... But these are absolute necessary features OVER ADAS. No Air purifier / not enough charging sockets at the rear, not even 1 USB port ! (personal preference) The VTEC is awesome but absolutely nobody is gona take it for a drag race or even drive like Faisal did n wont be happy with getting 5kmpl ! For majority of the customers, its almost as good as a useless feature !

Exactly, I don't know why HUD, massive pano sunroof in Indian climate is so hyped, electronic seat adjust isn't that big, the missing feature I'd say is seat ventilation that's more imp than sunroof in Indian climate. That's the only important thing this car is missing out IMHO.
Precisely. The "features" that ELEVATE doesn't offer are just bells and whistles. Everyone forgets that this is a vehicle and therefore fundamentals are important. It is like smartphones - talk about everything except that it is a phone and one needs to be able to talk and hear clearly (the most fundamental feature of a phone). HONDA has done its homework.

If this had - one touch up and down on all doors - electric parking brake - rain sensing wipers - height adjustable seat belts - maybe one novelty feature like panaromic sunroof, ventilated seats or power adjustable seats It would have been a great package. Pricing wise it has to be on the lower end Though Honda is expecting only 4k sales monthly, so they might just price it on par or higher than the competitors..
Hi, I feel there is a problem with the seats. 1) it is like sofa too much cushioning, it will make a driver tired and in a long drives isn't it the problem ? I see that with this kind of seating back pain is inevitable. What say? 2) no thigh support for any if seats. Can any one throw some light on this

Gordan Murray would argue that NA is always better for consumer vehicles because it is more economical yet gives us enough performance to have fun on the road. Especially with a proper V-tec engine, under 3000 rpm the mileage would be good. Turbo engines require burning more fuel even if you don't want to go fast or use the power to counter the forced induction because of the turbo. Otherwise, the engine would explode. So in conclusion, a NA engine leaves the milage figure dependent on the driver and manually controllable.
I think Honda Elevate is an all rounder. It has a balance between the likes of Creta and Taigun. It has got the performance, handling, ride, comfort, adequate features, practicality, and reliability. I think it ticks all the boxes. Only thing, it should be priced correctly. In fact, I feel, this should be priced lesser than the City for the initial pricing. Only then it can attract buyers.
Faisal ,for car buyers, the car is not all about the wheel spin and engine revving until 7000 rpm. It's about how it serves the purpose in the city and out on highways......
Looking at the new seltos this car looks old in terms of interior but its reliable engine build quality and honda trust are few things which make it good . If pricing is right then it can get good numbers in sales
Well honda is a honda, and i think they done a great job by introducing this masterpiece and giving those people hope who wants "CITY" but stops due to low ground clearance and that commanding position but now they can enjoy this car . And their is a saying that "Everyone is a gangster until the real one arrives" that's truly defines ELEVATE character.AND ALSO...! it can not get to the top in sales chart but it can cause pain in the butt to those korean siblings.
It misses out on a LOT of features when compared to the new Seltos and also the Seltos gets a much more powerful engine. Saving grace for this car could be its pricing, Honda NA engine reliability and Honda build quality. KIA has made the Indian Seltos a tin can structurally, to accomodate all those fearures and power train options, if the Elevate manages to get a perfect score in the crash test then that will be a big factor.
Most buyers in this segment are for NA engines and this IVTEC is way ahead of any other NA engine in this segment. Only engine which comes close is Grand Vitara and that too only for fuel efficiency
@@thameemulansari7247 true, Honda makes the best NA engines in India but the thing is, NA market is fast becoming a niche. People want more and more power and you can either do that by using a large capacity NA engine (>2L) or by turbo charging. The latter is easier to bring about.
@@eriktenhag2022 That’s not true . Even now more than 80 percent of this segment sales is only NA engines. In fact even Creta has stopped Turbo temporarily and that hasn’t affected its sales . Grand Vitara of course , never had a turbo and it stil sells a solid 10 k units each month

@@ujjwalkaushik4664 i own a mg zs ev and a hector both are a gem of a car i also own a creta and honda city 2009 and mg has not given any problems in last 4 years of my experience and service cost is way less in comparison to hyundai and its way more reliable even the staff is lovely in mg talking abt hyundai going to sell it too much pain in the nose always in service its a 2016 model and regret the decision but honda is great never been to service , zero engine related problems and its a great car after 13 years of service but also mg is a great brand u should try it once . Koreans never make a great reputation in my opinion i10 and creta both had the same problems of either wiper motors or window motors etc. So no more hyundai from now on.
Honda did their work the elevate is good looks nice but the lack of features like the panoramic sunroof or the 360 degree camera really hinders its appeal no doubt that gem of an engine is a drivers delight and is top notch overall the car package is good but like faisal said pricing matters the most now coz late to the party now they gott have some big usp up their sleeve

A simple car with no gimmicks and great engine. If they price this right, good portion of people would buy this. However, this isn't going to break any sale records as most people like gimmicks.
Koreans, no matter what the build quality or the cars making all sorts of noises post 4 years of ownership, have spoilt the market by giving so many features that their cars are the benchmark. Honda could have added a 360 camera at the very least to give some breathing room to the salesmen on the ground to make a push for sales. One may not need a 360 camera or a sunroof, but then greed is endless and perception matters. The car looks excellent though, will again do well at launch due to new model frenzy but will eventually fizzle out. I hope the management gets the HRV or other cars back on Indian roads and not treat as unworthy of good cars from Honda.

No Hybrid / No ventilated seats / No head rest for middle passenger / No EPB / No autohold / No 360 camera / No rear disc brakes / No 3 point seatbelt for middle passenger in the back. And No the driving experience doesn't make up for the lack of everything.
Everything else are more or less personal preference.... But these are absolute necessary features OVER ADAS. No Air purifier / not enough charging sockets at the rear, not even 1 USB port ! (personal preference)
The VTEC is awesome but absolutely nobody is gona take it for a drag race or even drive like Faisal did n wont be happy with getting 5kmpl ! For majority of the customers, its almost as good as a useless feature !
Trust on your skills not your 360 degree camera and all the other features mentioned expect 3 point seat belt all are fancy features offered by Koreans to attract and at the End the price tag will he in raise and you won’t use in your day to day life 🤣🤣 autohold man grew up if you don’t know to drive in hills without assistance your not a real driver your car is helping you out grow yo guys don’t be fooled 🤣

Exactly, I don't know why HUD, massive pano sunroof in Indian climate is so hyped, electronic seat adjust isn't that big, the missing feature I'd say is seat ventilation that's more imp than sunroof in Indian climate. That's the only important thing this car is missing out IMHO.
Precisely. The "features" that ELEVATE doesn't offer are just bells and whistles. Everyone forgets that this is a vehicle and therefore fundamentals are important. It is like smartphones - talk about everything except that it is a phone and one needs to be able to talk and hear clearly (the most fundamental feature of a phone). HONDA has done its homework.

Hi, I feel there is a problem with the seats. 1) it is like sofa too much cushioning, it will make a driver tired and in a long drives isn't it the problem ? I see that with this kind of seating back pain is inevitable. What say?

Gordan Murray would argue that NA is always better for consumer vehicles because it is more economical yet gives us enough performance to have fun on the road. Especially with a proper V-tec engine, under 3000 rpm the mileage would be good.
Turbo engines require burning more fuel even if you don't want to go fast or use the power to counter the forced induction because of the turbo. Otherwise, the engine would explode.
So in conclusion, a NA engine leaves the milage figure dependent on the driver and manually controllable.
When you watch a Honda car review from Faisal just skip to the good (drive) part !!

I think Honda Elevate is an all rounder. It has a balance between the likes of Creta and Taigun. It has got the performance, handling, ride, comfort, adequate features, practicality, and reliability. I think it ticks all the boxes. Only thing, it should be priced correctly. In fact, I feel, this should be priced lesser than the City for the initial pricing. Only then it can attract buyers.

Looking at the new seltos this car looks old in terms of interior but its reliable engine build quality and honda trust are few things which make it good . If pricing is right then it can get good numbers in sales
Well honda is a honda, and i think they done a great job by introducing this masterpiece and giving those people hope who wants "CITY" but stops due to low ground clearance and that commanding position but now they can enjoy this car . And their is a saying that "Everyone is a gangster until the real one arrives" that's truly defines ELEVATE character.AND ALSO...! it can not get to the top in sales chart but it can cause pain in the butt to those korean siblings.
It misses out on a LOT of features when compared to the new Seltos and also the Seltos gets a much more powerful engine. Saving grace for this car could be its pricing, Honda NA engine reliability and Honda build quality. KIA has made the Indian Seltos a tin can structurally, to accomodate all those fearures and power train options, if the Elevate manages to get a perfect score in the crash test then that will be a big factor.
Most buyers in this segment are for NA engines and this IVTEC is way ahead of any other NA engine in this segment. Only engine which comes close is Grand Vitara and that too only for fuel efficiency
@@thameemulansari7247 true, Honda makes the best NA engines in India but the thing is, NA market is fast becoming a niche. People want more and more power and you can either do that by using a large capacity NA engine (>2L) or by turbo charging. The latter is easier to bring about.

In fact even Creta has stopped Turbo temporarily and that hasn’t affected its sales .
Grand Vitara of course , never had a turbo and it stil sells a solid 10 k units each month

@@ujjwalkaushik4664 i own a mg zs ev and a hector both are a gem of a car i also own a creta and honda city 2009 and mg has not given any problems in last 4 years of my experience and service cost is way less in comparison to hyundai and its way more reliable even the staff is lovely in mg talking abt hyundai going to sell it too much pain in the nose always in service its a 2016 model and regret the decision but honda is great never been to service , zero engine related problems and its a great car after 13 years of service but also mg is a great brand u should try it once . Koreans never make a great reputation in my opinion i10 and creta both had the same problems of either wiper motors or window motors etc. So no more hyundai from now on.

Honda did their work the elevate is good looks nice but the lack of features like the panoramic sunroof or the 360 degree camera really hinders its appeal no doubt that gem of an engine is a drivers delight and is top notch overall the car package is good but like faisal said pricing matters the most now coz late to the party now they gott have some big usp up their sleeve
U will use the panaromic sunroof for like 1 month or 2 month after purchase after that u will forget it was there..

I think it takes time it's not gonna happen anytime soon...once there is a decrease in first time car buyers...with more car buyers who have actually owned a car our market will change from a feature focused Market into a market which appreciates a car for what it is...
