There's a big paradigm shift now. I am a twitter user from 2010 and back then Mumbai/acting etc. was glorified. But now I see AI/ML/Software Engineering/Programming Languages/Bangalore/Hyderabad being glorified. This is the change I always wanted. More women choosing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and ditching Arts/humanities. This change will definitely catapult India into next level.
I respect the amount of efforts these actors put to ace the auditions and get a role but is there clear blueprint to know where a person will be heading in his/her career with this? I know theatre artists who started at the age of 3 and they are nowhere now. The influencers who barely know the definition of acting are all over the place and people trust the system?

I agree. Bollywood is not completely ethical in terms of choosing actors, I personally know many talented theatre artists who failed to secure even small roles in Bollywood movies. Such people have devoted their whole lives to this field and have not gotten an opportunity to exhibit their talent completely.

@@samaykilvish6756 I know, that is the reason this struggle should not get glorified. We need to glorify Engineering, Medicine, Science, Mathematics etc. People get to know if a Bollywood actor dies but no one gets to know if a scientist dies. Such is the poor state of our country. I respect art but these people are not artists they are mere entertainers.

Hello Di. Myself Tarrannum. I am an aspiring actor from Assam. As a student myself who is soon going to start her college life soon this year I am very much confuse in selecting either Guwahati (Assam) or Mumbai to go and study and most importantly start and focus in my acting dream. Yes for becoming an actor in India , Mumbai is the hub i know but the expenses of travelling and living there is too high for a middle class family of mine. Initially Mumbai was my only dream place to go and study as a student and also to start my acting career there but as the financial status in my family as well as for some other personal reasons i feel stuck and can't get into any conclusion.
I mentioned either staying at Assam for this because I am thinking of studying from a Uni located itself in Assam and also prepare myself for the acting field right from here and perhaps try multiple online auditions for Bollywood movies or ads as much as i can.
At this both these two thoughts have their risks, benefits and pain in their own place so i really am very very confused. Please as a sister, do tell me what should I do? Do i stay in Assam n try from here or that i have to come to Mumbai as their's no other good option?
Please do reply. I'll be waiting.
    Thank you!

Kevin's statement don't apply to Bollywood!!! Anyways.. It needs patience and lots of hope to do what you're going through 👍👍 Imagining my 21 year old son who's hunting for a job and is ready to move out of the comfort of his home! Wish you all the best in your career and life!!

I don't like Indian movies. The exception is Tamil movies. Most Indian films and series are plagiarized from other American or European films. Indian films are made for the Indian domestic market, and this is the biggest disadvantage. Indian cinema is the most corrupt. Bollywood is in the lead. I don't understand what this young actress is counting on. Bollywood doesn't need talent. Bollywood needs money and connections. Besides, it's dangerous to work as an actor in India. Among Indian actors, I like Vijay Sethupathi. I even talked to him at Frankfurt airport. He's an interesting man. I never would have thought he was an actor). I thought he was joking. There was an attempt on his life in India! Thanks for the video and good luck to the actress!

It's not like bollywood doesnt have good movies and tamil industry doesn't have bad movies. In fact bollywood has more good movies than other industries but they are not recognised at a wider scale
