This was absolutely life changing. Not only was it a kick ass film but it had a very powerful life lesson. A master class of story telling.

What a sad end to a fine locomotive who was only doing what locomotives do. Hauling ash. The parting shot of him in the locomotive bone yard brought a tear to my eye. He paid the ultimate price because of someone elses carelessness. A life lesson learned.

Such a horrible loss of life. My prayers go out the people of this tiny town and I hope they were able to cope in the aftermath.
I am sure an investigation showed that the crossing was not properly graveled.

Ok, for starters, thank you for saying O scale. Not O gauge. It drives me crazy how so many people do that. Oh by the way, this looks like Mr.Rogers went to work for Operation Lifesaver. But I like it. Maybe he should have. He might saved some people just raising awareness.

No trains were damaged in the making of this video. It looks worse than it is because of movie magic and slow-mo effects.

My uncle was running a New York Central Niagara after World War II. An army limousine with a young kid driver waited till he was almost upon them and then gunned it and he hit the cars back in the middle. It took him a mile and a half to stop the engine and then back up to the scene of the accident there wasn't a piece left of the car bigger than 4 ft it just disintegrated into pieces and they were built like tanks in those days that shows you how hard he hit it with the train. I hate that in the new Mission Impossible movie instead of ruining a toy train they actually rent a good steam locomotive off a cliff. In the movie horror Express at the end where the train runs off the end of the cliff you could tell it's a toy train.

Really great work with the story and editing and photography! Planning on building a layout in my retirement. I had a Lionel Loco with a big coal tender that said "Pennsylvania" on the side of it as a kid. The light worked and you could put smoke oil into the chimney and it would puff smoke as it ran. Looked much like yours. As a kid I was fascinated with Dad's N gage trains. It was late 60's and N gage was still very new.

That jaunty music when the car gets stuck on the track, the slow dramatic foreshadowing zoom onto the mouth of the tunnel and the tense soundtrack are hilarious! excellent camera placement... Wonderful job of telling a story! Such a heartbreaking ending though! Love this.
