A random video about a deck with random cards which randomly changed to a video about how random control priest is all done by some random. Truly one of the best hearthstones videos of all time
never let them know your next move
but it was me! Control Priest!
Here I am a random dude randomly commenting on the randomness. Testicles. That is all.
@@mrchundoCan't let them know your next move when you don't even know it yourself.
Really excited to see a video all about Casino Mage. I really hope I don’t get jebaited to watching a video about Control Priest.
🥸
My favourite quote is back when hearthstone was at peak, an mtg tournament had two players ask if they could play a game of hearthstone to settle a draw. The judge said to them "rule 17.3, an mtg game cannot be decided by a random outcome"
I guess it doesn't include coinflips?
What a M. Night Chunamado twist!
i directed the happening
Great video chundo, you got us it the first part ;)
we like to be tricky sometimes
I was halfway through this video thinking "huh, I remember Spell Mage! I didn't think Deck of Lunacy was *that* big a deal in that though, Spring Water was the real MVP and I swear there was debate over even Deck...". Then the twist hit. Bravo.
the ultimate proof that tempo is all that matters
actually, value is all that matters
i should probably increase the *tempo* of my upload schedule
bro this shit slapped. I remember running deck of lunacy with the outland all spell support back before barrens, which then turned into THE meta deck.
oh yeah that deck was fun until it became way too consistent
As always this hearthstone history videos are always a banger. Keep it up!
: )
Holy crap the juke-out. Legit blindsided me. Love the videos Chundo ❤️
Glad you like them!
thank you for uploading i havent slept in a month
your Pokémon sleep score must be terrible. I bet you don’t even have psyduck yet
@@mrchundo maybe if you uploaded more consistently my snorlax wouldn't be so lonely
Just discovered your channel yesterday and binged all your videos, I love you and your videos mr chundo :)
Glad you like them!
I swear the main issue of the deck was palm reading. Mass mana cheating is always an issue and those loops are mostly caused due to being able to play spells for free. Same for miracle rogue, same for every instance of 0 mana minion spam.
yeah I still don’t believe palm reading never got touched
Chundo returns to bring light from the darkness like the morning sun after a century long night. The emptiness within has been filled thus with happiness. I am truly gruntled - this world has finally returned to its intended balance.
glad you are gruntled and hopefully you can be traught now
Great thumbnail design, having the Control Priest cards hidden underneath the Exciting Spells.
Hi there, Hearthstone esports player here. This meta was rat shit, it started as just “did you draw lunacy and/or flow” not to mention 4 mana refreshing ffs. Also the meme that nagrand was a 7 mana mage card was very much reality. The fact that eventually both flow and lunacy were nerfed to double the cost and refreshing got a mana increase really just demonstrates how completely absurd this clown fiesta of a deck was. It just obliterated the integrity of the game, and almost made people happy to see control priest take over. Almost. I kid you not, collegiate playoffs of this meta included a control priest mirror that lasted over an hour. It was so mind-numbingly soul crushing I started playing Clone Hero during it. Sethekk was dumb, Renew was dumb, deck trackers had a million cards created by other cards on them, it was a painful experience. I’m glad someone is talking about it. Oh yeah, pre-nerf Illucia can die in hell
Lmao, thanks for the perspective. It was hard to get footage for this video because so many matches both players banned priest
@@mrchundo Yeah that’s true. I don’t remember why the priests didn’t get banned in that match, but nobody ever wanted to play it or play against it regardless of matchup
Random Sleepaway Camp for the honorable lethal. Well faced.
I took a break from hearthstone around this time so it’s nice to hear how the meta was around then. Your opponent having constant removal sounds excruciating.
yeah that period could sometimes be like pulling teeth
Damn this was a great video, thx for thw work keep it up 😊
I pledge my very existence to the chundo corporation
it is an honor
exquisite video dog man, very helpful for me because i don't remember what i ate last night much less what was the meta like two years ago
thank you very much. you’re one of the names I’ve seen here for a while now
I love this very normal video about Spell Mage where nothing whacky or uncharacteristic happens! Great job Chundo!
Can't believe i got bamboozled. well played Mr. Chundo, well played.
tricky tricky
best hearthstone channel. You deserve more
hey man this is the first time i've seen one of your videos and it was really good. I stopped watching other hearthstone content much because I was just sorta getting bored of it but this video held my interest very well. Taking a historical look at things is a good angle rather than just uploading gameplay.
thanks!
what a random turn of events

I remember talking to a pro from my country in a stream where he was playing rogue vs shaman in a night at karazam, he needed to clear the board and i told hime "swashbuglar into storm, or portal" and he get the lighting storm and far from happy he was like "i remember when winning was about being a good player and not pulling a lighting storm out of my ass"
another banger Chundo!
WALTUH
Another excellent video, that got me good
: )
As a priest player I see this as an absolute win
Love the twist :)
gotta keep people on their toes
I really think that the rarety should apply to discover effects.
2012 hearthstone world champion chundo has done it again!
i earned that title with blood, sweat and tears
Great video
😎
Gad dam the good old switcheroo
Mindgames used to be my favourite Hearthstone card when I played, years ago hahahah
another chundo banger as usual
: )
I love you chundo. Thank you.
chundo
Good one.
i was playing this deck on the time and it felt the best
Same here!
I love your video Chundo.
They make me chubo.
chundo
I love casino mage so much
Yo next video should be around the priest class identity and how it’s changed over the years. I know there’s a meme of ‘delete priest’ but maybe a video around the class philosophy would be cool 🤔
Yo, hype
hype
The chundo is back! Are you doing TITANS content?
Gonna try to. Not quite sure what people are looking for from it
@@mrchundo a review of the titans themselves maybe? 👀
real based video my man, im surprised u have so few subs, it felt like a big guy video you know? anyways keep it up you have the potential
always try to make it feel like a big guy video
Anyone remembers a wild time when Renethal was released and Prestor Druid became one of the best decks? What a wild time. Some madlads even brought it to Masters. Truly a deck that is a pile of random garbage
Ooooooo that’s a good one
A M I N I O N W I T H T A U N T I S I N T H E W A Y
Man this is a weird video to see. I lived through this happening
Easily one of the most hated metas in the history of hearthstone.
yeah there was a tough multi-year period of bad metas
I hated this priest meta ssoo mucchh, i still have until this day ptsd of priest playing "discovered by" cards
when they started playing cards they stole from me I knew there was a problem
I can't have hard feelings about Priest. That deck was my last love in Hearthstone before United in Stormwind stole my soul and I quit by the time Nathria came out. It was the last ever successful "No win con, just outvalue your opponent" deck, and that was my favourite way to play.
Festival of Legends Control Priest exists but okay
@@meruempro Well, I don't play the game anymore. I don't know jackshit about the current meta.
@@murlocaggrob2192 then why do you make such bold claims? "The last ever successful deck ..."
@@meruempro One of the reasons I quit was the increase of parasitic designs and game-enders that are made to artificially lower game time. It certainly felt like the last time to me, and it was the last in the time that I played.
So many people left hearthstone when it was just rng and nerfing everything to be boring. Like what I've been seeing the past couple expansions.
it’s peaks and valleys. sunken city was a high
It always has been a slot machine.
no no no - I swear it’s different this time
tbh *Discover* as a mechanic is the main thing that ruined Hearthstone
I’ve had some great times with discover. However it’s a double edged sword
@@mrchundo yeah initially it was fun with like Jeweled Scarab and stuff. But when half the cards discover another card, you're just playing a game of chance and rng.
I play casino mage in twist, its been fun
Outside of the balance issues, Twist has been very fun
Man I remember making this kind of deck back around in kobolds and catacomb but it was pretty weak. Haven't played in ages but its amusing that one of my favorite priest deck was super meta at one point.
The deep hate I feel for priest is indescribable
the light shall burn you
Priest being the worst class without an identity is not even the worst part.
The worst part is Blizz trying to make every class play like priest, it already happened to mage, and I can see it happening to DH and Rogue next expansion.
