- Add a modern look to your quilt with facing to finish your quilt instead of binding! As a bonus, this technique also adds triangles in the corners that can be used to hang your quilt!

best method and super video. I had great results following this video. I only cut my strips 2" wide due to running out of the fabric but 2 1/2" like you show would have been better. I don't hand sew and instead fused the facings down with fusible web. super tidy.
thank you so much for this quick tutorial; I plan to use facing on my quilted living room curtains. After viewing several tutorials, I believe your’s is the most clear and concise method.
Love this technique! Ive alread been ising the corner patches (triangles), but i can see how this adds a nice finish to a wall hanging. Thank you so much! ❤🎉😊
Wonderful method for wall hanging. I have done it twice and LOVE it.
I love my Baby Loc Aria machine very much. What a GREAT way to finish a quilt wow thank you for your video!!!
This is so clear and precise and easy to follow. Thank you
Excellent video!
Thank you very much!
Brilliant! Thanks for sharing.
This is an excellent method for facing a quilt! Thank you so much!
I'm going to do this to a wallhanging I just finished. Great video, precise, to the point -- thank you!
Wow, what a fantastic way to do the edging of the quilt. I love this!!!! You made it look so easy and I think once I have it down and remember the steps it will be easy. The look is wonderful. Thank you so much for a really great video tutorial and I will tell others about it too. Thanks again. Claudia
This is amazing. I am in the middle of a wallhanging so I will be using this method soon. Thank you!
Thank you, I will refer to this when I do my first facing.
Well done, clear and concise. Thank you 😊
WOW! Haven't seen THAT one. Great idea. Thanks!
Thank you, great idea can’t wait to try it.
Great! I love this idea!
Thanks. Great idea. I have fwd your video to friends
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice idea will have to try it
Thanks lovely that is amazing
I've watched several videos about facings and personally I think it would be fine for a wall hanging, or table topper but I would never do this for a quilt, especially if it was a gift.
I really like facing quilts. For many designs, facing gives a nicer looking finish, particularly on improv/modern quilts, and is just as durable.
Is the diagonal stitching within the 1/4" seam allowance or just on to the quilt side of the stitched corner?
Wonderful technique. Can this be used on larger quilts to avoid doing mitered corners and will this technique hold up in the laundry?🥰🙏🏾❤
Would definitely NOT use this as a binding option for a bed quilt. Facing for a wall hanging it is great and the method is much easier than the one I’d been using. There is the extra added advantage of being able to easily insert a dowel at the bottom is a little extra weight is needed.
Great point! It is definitely technique best suited for a quilt that will be displayed.
If you are concerned about durability, the edges of the faced quilts are no more likely to wear than is a bound edge, and is just as easy to replace.
Hotel still charge a pet fee. I just went through it
@janicefriel660 I think you posted under the wrong video??
