Today I am building up a custom klunker out of a 1971 Schwinn typhoon. Check out our shop Gringineer Cycles for tons of vintage parts and bikes www.gringineer...
I haven't had any issues on either of my klunkers that run the adapters nor have any of the customers I have built ones for. If you plan to really shred you could always apply some bearing retaining compound to the adapter cups before you press them in for extra security.
Dude I want to build a bmx cruiser out of one of these they look awesome
They are tons of fun!
I have a Trek Custom Cruiser and a Schwinn Typhoon with a mag wheel style one piece crank .
Wished we got a shot of it on the ground to fully appreciate it
I’ll make sure to do that for future videos.
It does look good. Klunkers are the best. With those bottom bracket adapters…are they pretty sturdy. Can you jam pretty hard on them?

The klunker would of looked better with bmx handlebars 9inch rise
