We are one World
Let's be charitable and just assume this video is coming to us from the far reaches of rural Yemen, where modern plumbing is something few people have ever seen, and water flowing from a tap is considered a miracle.
Haha, let’s give the benefit of the doubt! 😄 Maybe this video is showing us a "vintage" approach to plumbing from somewhere with limited resources. It's like a time travel DIY, right? Sometimes these creative solutions make you appreciate the simple things, like water from a tap! Have you ever seen other unconventional DIY solutions like this?
Was trying to think the same way, but he's using Dewalt tools, step drill bits, and a pipe cutter. Wondering what I'm missing...

Yes sink blockages can be a nightmare for us plumbers, but if there is room to install the home made mechansim shown then that's OK, but in my experience there's simply no room for such installations (or the space under sink is filled up with all kinds of stuff). I don't like using fixed glued fittings in such situations. Why not just use an ordinary easily removable sink trap and place a notice above the sink reading the usual "DO NOT PUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN WATER DOWN PLUGHOLE!" It never works of course, as people are people! However, at least one can easily remove parts to clear the blockage. That's my take anyway.
You bring up a valid point! Space under sinks is often tight, and a traditional sink trap can definitely make clearing blockages easier. The homemade mechanism shown in the video offers a creative solution, but as you noted, practical space limitations might make it tricky to install in some homes. Removable traps with simple signage might indeed save time and effort in many cases. What do you think about integrating some of these innovative ideas with more conventional plumbing practices?
I tried this with my bathroom sink and now everything drains down in like 0.50 seconds
Great, here's a crazy idea from PVC pipe that I didn't think of
Thank you my friend . Is this PVC pipe idea interesting and useful to you?
@raptranslator2023, If you live in the US, this is NOT according to the plumbing code! There are so many violations it is impossible to start. This is dangerous and nasty.
When you have a clog (and you certainly will), you will have a leaking mess that creates a smell under your sink that you will never forget! I would rather deal with raw sewage any day than fermented food!
If you call a plumber to unclog it, he won't touch it unless you let him fix this absolutely crazy nonsense!
Okay, I don't know where this was made, but so far as I know, this setup is not only dangerous, it's illegal in the United States. These 90⁰ fittings are the wrong type, and by themselves will eventually cause a clogging problem. The line is not vented which is not code. That's illegal. The line drains into an open sewer which means methane gas and all sorts of critters can get into the house. Sewer gas can kill. It's toxic and it can explode. Get a licensed plumber.
You raise some critical points! 🚨 Safety and code compliance are no joke, especially when it comes to plumbing. Using the wrong fittings and improper venting can lead to serious issues, including dangerous sewer gases. It’s always best to consult a licensed plumber for these kinds of jobs. Thanks for sharing that important reminder! What are some other DIY projects you think should come with a safety warning?
Dobrze, tylko pamiętaj.

Somehow I’m not really sure what the point is. Why not just get a P trap and install it.
Ah, the classic P-trap solution! 🛠️ It’s a straightforward and reliable way to handle drainage. Sometimes, the simplest solutions are the best. Maybe the creative approach is just a fun experiment, but sticking with a P-trap sounds like a solid plan. Do you have any other go-to fixes for plumbing issues?

Ok? Let's get people to watch something completely nonsensical. You win.
Maybe this project seems pointless to you but to others it is an idea that can solve their problems. Can you share some useful ideas?
Who in the heck has under sink plumbing like this? can't be in anything in the US built in the last 75 years.
It's quite possible that some plumbing setups can look rather unconventional, especially if they've been modified over the years or if they're custom installations. The plumbing standards and practices can vary widely, and sometimes older buildings or DIY projects result in some unique configurations.
In the United States, modern plumbing standards have indeed evolved significantly, so finding an unusual setup like the one you're describing in a building from the last 75 years would be rare. However, it's not impossible, especially in older homes that have undergone multiple renovations.
If you're dealing with an unusual plumbing situation and need some advice on how to approach it, feel free to share more details! 🔧
Hope your plumbing adventures go smoothly!
why not just obtain and use the proper fittings?
Ye, 😂 doesn't make a good video tho😂

Thank you for your response. I am sorry I was a bit harsh. Your video is well done. You response to my comment was positive and which is very much appreciated. All best to you .
Thanks for your feedback! You raise a valid point about the cost of P traps. Sometimes, buying pre-made parts can be more cost-effective and convenient. However, the choice between DIY solutions and store-bought items often depends on factors like custom needs, availability, and personal preference. What are your thoughts on other DIY plumbing projects or cost-saving tips? I'd love to hear more about your experiences and ideas!
That's great. I am very satisfied with your creativity

I don't understand the idea of it, but it was sort of interesting to watch. Liquid oil, like in here, isn't really a problem, it is the stuff that turns solid easily, like butter and animal fat. When I have had a problem, I just untwist the pipes I have, (rather than glued pipes) and get the clog out. Another thing I do is use a wet/dry vac.
Thanks for sharing your approach! You’re right-solid fats and oils can be tricky to manage and often cause blockages faster than liquid oils. It’s smart to have an accessible setup if you’re able to twist off the pipes and clean them yourself. And a wet/dry vac is a great tool for unclogging! Have you found it effective even for tougher clogs?
@@HolicCreation Yes. I have not tried it on a toilet though. For that, I have used dish soap, and hot water with a power plunger.

You essentially made a grease trap. You can buy them for less than $100.
Too expensive for me! The one in this video I made myself for only $4.50. I managed to save quite a bit of money right!
I like the idea, yet I'm not sure if I understand.
When the bottle is full, where do you drain it?
There is a tap, yes. However, there is not a hose connected to it that goes anywhere.
Please may somebody explain this to me? 🤙🏼🙂🤙🏼❤️
Thank you for this great question. The water valve will be used to drain the grease. As for the dirt, when the tank is too much, we can remove it and replace it easily. By the way, your fish tanks are great. I love it. Can you share with me a little about how to raise fish in the tank?
@HolicCreation Thankyou for explaining that to me.
I did notice the tap, but it looks like the water would just end on the floor.
Thankyou very much.
Yes, I am happy to share some helpful information on how to do this.
Please feel free to contact me by email where I can share more about how this can be done. 🤙🏼🙂🤙🏼❤️
In America we use garbage disposal and it industrial plumber fittings
Thanks for your comment! In the U.S., garbage disposals are indeed common, and they often require specific industrial plumber fittings to ensure proper installation and functionality. What a total waste of time yo build such a weird contraption. Just buy and fit the correct fittings! Most dinks in fitted units wouldn’t have room for this contraption.
I understand your concern, but this contraption is designed to be a DIY alternative using available materials. It may look unusual, but it’s cost-effective for people who don’t want to spend on expensive fittings or who enjoy problem-solving through DIY methods. While it might not fit in standard units, it can be adapted for various setups. Have you ever worked on a project where space was a concern or had to get creative with unconventional solutions?
100% true!

Using a siphon like the GEBERIT or LIRA with two outlets is indeed a smart suggestion. It would reduce the need for cutting and joining multiple pieces, which, when combined with glue and additional parts, can significantly increase the cost. This approach offers both a simpler and more cost-effective solution. However, the method shown may still be useful for people who want to use materials they already have on hand. Have you used these siphons in similar projects?

Hello!! It's a nice and useful DIY practical creation. I would like to ask you if you could make a solar oven / cooker light and not very large to be used in the balcony or terrace of a flat in town. Thank you very much from Greece!!
Hello! Thanks for the kind words. A small solar oven or cooker for your balcony or terrace sounds like a great project. Solar cookers can be made compact, using materials like reflective panels, glass, and insulation to focus sunlight and cook food efficiently. I'd suggest a foldable design with lightweight materials for ease of use and storage. This way, you can enjoy cooking outdoors while saving energy. I'll definitely keep it in mind for future projects. Have you experimented with solar cooking before?

Thank you for watching the video! Is there anything you feel is not reasonable when reading the comments in this video? Please help me understand the advice of the viewers better.
und für was soll das gut sein ???
Gute Frage! 😉
@@HolicCreation willst du mir jetzt erzählen das du das abwasser trinken willst ??
,!!!!!!😂
Thank you for watching ! Have a nice day
Not useful at all! Time wasting video
I get it-sometimes it feels like a swing and a miss! 😅 But hey, not every idea is for everyone. If you’re ever curious about a different DIY project or a more practical tip, I’m all ears! What kind of content do you find useful?
😢😢😢 rubbish
I'm here to help if you have any questions or need clarification! Let me know how I can assist.
This "very old plumber" you keep speaking of obviously has no knowledge or concern for any sort of plumbing code. (I am pretty old myself... retired from plumbing, pipe and design.)
A plumber in most developed countries would get instantly fired for this kind of nonsense. We would take pictures of it and laugh at him! Nasty!
Thanks for watching! You must be very experienced and skilled in plumbing. Can you give me some advice on large drains around the house?
Biggest bullshit ever
"Ah, we’ve got a skeptic in the house! 😄 It might sound like magic, but PVC pipes and free water can actually be quite the combo if you give it a try! 💧 If not, at least it makes for a good DIY experiment story, right? What’s the wildest project you’ve ever tackled? Maybe we can top that!"
Plumber?
Not quite! I’m more of a DIY enthusiast sharing handy repair tips and creative projects, including a few plumbing hacks here and there. Are you in the plumbing trade yourself, or just interested in some plumbing tips?
Something tells me this isn't to code. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so. What a crock of you-know-what.
Thanks for watching the video! What do you think about a grease filter from a plastic bottle that works as effectively as in this video?

"Ah, you've caught me! The old plumber is definitely a world traveler when it comes to DIY wisdom! 😄 But hey, it's not just clickbait when you’re getting free water straight from a PVC pipe, right? Give it a shot-you might never need to buy bottled water again! 💧 What’s your go-to DIY hack? Maybe we can swap some plumbing secrets!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣😫
