Hey Jim, I guess I was mis-reading the50k - it is the voltage. But the reside on the rear tire has me confused. As the packing of the unit seems ok, not a repack. Now deciding still to return it or get the rear tire repaired localy.
I would expect your dealer to either pay for you to repair the tire locally or send you a new unit. You should not have to fix a flat right out of the box and if it was a floor or demo unit there should been a cost savings and even then the tires should be ready to go. It sounds like you could have a valve stem leak, to check this pump up the tires and put a little soapy water (or spit) on the tip of the valve stem. If air is coming out there that is not what I call a true flat. You can pick up a valve stem tool for very cheap and tighten that down and be good to go.

I just got this scooter but I can't fold it, I've watched the part where you do it many times and you make it look so easy as it should but mine seems like it's pasted or stuck in the collars, also the plastic thing that you have to put your foot on it so you can fold it isn't seems to do what it supposed either, I have applied some force but I don't want to be that hard on it because I'm afraid to damage or break it so I'll just wait for your answer, thank you in advance!
The trick with both of those is to take the pressure off the mechanism. With the collars pull up on the handlebar as you slide it and with the folding mechanism push the stem out away from the deck as you push on the small release lever, if you do this correctly you can push it down with your thumb. The foot technique is push quickly forward, can help with the front brake too, and press down at the same time. It's a quick motion. There are internal screws on the inside of the collars to adjust how easy the collar will move, you can make it as loose or tight as you want.
