Liked n subbed awesome watermelons 🍉 Remember when my father used to plant watermelons in the 80s 90s era miss those days. And its been pretty bad drought down here in the Rio Grande Valley tx. Best of luck with your prouduce. God bless .
South Texas here, Just about all my plants are fried as of today. Watermelons, pumpkins and Cushaws are gone with the exception of 15 to 20 plants. I run 2000 ft of drip irrigation but the heat has been brutal. I did get nice watermelons up till about June and then planted pumpkins to harvest for October. This is the first year I try gardening and many years before they would plant on the entire 20 acres most of the year using 2 water wells. Im by Falcon lake and its only 12% full just to give an idea of how dry its been. Cool video.
Love falcons Bass fishing. I remember fishing it when it was real high back in 2010-11…good times It’s a shame they pull it so hard in those droughts but it was created for crops not bass fishing
Very interesting! I totally agree...water is a must for produce. Its too much work and cost to lose it all to heat and drought. I'm assuming your pumping water from the river you mentioned in the background? Steve in PA
How many watermelon plantings do you do? 3. And what type of purple hull peas are those? I've grown top pick and #2 Mississippi pink eye. Like the videos, love Louisiana
I think my wife could give you a run for your money. She splits one open everyday during season eats on it while running farm store. When I come in at dark for supper im lucky to get a little bit next to rind. Great video. Thanks.
I liked the guy who already had a full load of watermelons on the f150, then said what the heck, lets had a few caneloupes!! Melons season brings out the scientist in everyone!
