    Only if the Radian can have a relative small center rod for very small height adjustment

    could you publish the max height with the center column down in the specs?

    So I have your angled Vortex Razor HD 20-60 x 85 Spotting Scope. Would you recommend any of these in particular, or if not, another Vortex model before I go another route.

    : Bought this after getting after my viper 85mm spotting scope from AAOPTICS! My old tripod was the ssp and struggled with the weight of the spotter. This tripod ROCKS. I am 6’2” can use spotter without kneeling or crouching over, same with my binos and it is very stable. With only three leg sections they are thicker and stronger than the skinny little four section tripods. It is bigger 29” collapsed fits perfect in outside pocket of my mystery ranch pintler or right between the torpedo pockets of my Marshall. Only 3 lbs. it works great sitting down because of longer legs I don’t have to fiddle around with extending legs just pop them out wider a notch and raise the center . Super fast, super easy, this is capable of all uses. I mounted a Spartan precision Davros head to an arca Swiss and now the tripod is an awesome shooting platform too. 22 lbs weight capacity is more than enough for my optics and my various hunting rifles.

    Which arca mount did you go with?

  • @thecheechmantube

    I have the Vortex Viper HD scope. I am looking to replace my old vortex tripod with a carbon version that is sturdy enough to have much movement of the scope in windy conditions. I was looking towards the summit but thinking perhaps the Ridgeview might be the better option? My wife bought me a Manfrotto travel tripod but it is so light that any bit of wind makes viewing through the scope a pain.

    • @VortexOpticsUSA
      @VortexOpticsUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both would be great options! The Ridgeview will be taller, so if you have it fully extended it would be more susceptible to movement from the wind. However, both have hooks on the center column that you can hang a bag from to weigh them down.

    I just got a summit tripod for Xmas. It's not the carbon model, its aluminum. Does the new heads work in the old models? If so, can i purchase the head separately?

    • @VortexOpticsUSA
      @VortexOpticsUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question - the new heads are not compatible with the older generations.

  • @bravelion2009
    @bravelion2009 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yea, I got a question...When are the Ridgeview Carbon's going to be in stock??!:) From a consumer standpoint, that one is going to be your best seller by far due to its versatility I would imagine. You're going to want to order a lot more of those:)

    • @VortexOpticsUSA
      @VortexOpticsUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! These came out with an extremely high demand right out of the gate. The fastest way to get your hands on one would be to get on a backorder list through your local dealer. The current estimated backorder time is about 3-4 months from the time of order.

    Why don't you make a pan head for the radian

    • @VortexOpticsUSA
      @VortexOpticsUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We found that most of the people using the radian will want the benefits of other heads. I am not aware of any plans for a pan head at this time, but I'll certainly pass the request along!
