👍🏝️🇵🇹🏝️❤️I love GOA 🏝️🏝️👍👍
Nice video capturing the serene atmosphere of bygone Goa - Thanks! From 1988 I lived for a few years in Chandor, I was in my early 20's bright-eyed and bushy-tailed fresh from Canada, with not much more than my fiddle in hand and a smile of wonderment on my face. The most magical times of my life were spent there with the local Goans, learning and trading folk- fiddle tunes and drinking feni till the wee-hours. I almost got married and stayed...but something pulled me back. Forever, beautiful memories❤🎻🌴

Mel Souza Hi Fred, A friend in Winnipeg just drew my attention to the "Goa in the 1980's" video posted on the internet. You did a fine job in its presentation. Many thanks, Mel
40 years later a complete hell hole. A documentary now would be not of the landscape, beaches or natural beauty. It would be of raves, clubs, majestic resorts and pollution
ubfortunate to hear, although I haven't been there yet to make a video, I have seen recent visitors videos on youtube, and it looks overrun and dirty now, unfortunate
Think of the atrocities committed by the Indian politicians in destroying the beauty of creation given as an heritage to the residence of Goa to display God’s love, joy and holiness upon the goans. Amen ❤❤❤.
Do see many posts on Goan Inquisitions and conversions . Please do an analysis of the over 5000 year Brahmanical caste domination of India that led to the rise of three Indic religionsand most of India's problems even today . Goa's charm lies in the indelible fact that it is the best of East and West. The rest of India must learn and follow . Viva Goa and Jai India Col Manjit Goa
@@Mercekar Genocide my dear friend means getting rid of the population you don’t want in that territory. Portuguese did not massacre non-Christian Indians. They tried and succeded converting some Hindus into Christianity. In Goa and Goan communities worldwide you have many Christians with Portuguese names (like yourself) which were not obliterated from this world for being Indian but instead chose to follow Christ. So, no genocide in Goa.
@@TimSerras some Hindus? Atleast you know the entire population of Old Conquistas were converted. Those who fled they only survived. I better know how we got this surname. This stories are still kept alive and passed on from one generation to another generation. Our half family in Novas Conquistas are still Hindus.
Fred, No doubt Mel has a way with photography, one that is appreciated by many. It's too bad he has to temper that attribute with the need to talk your ear off. Get rid of the voice on this video, add some background music and some captions under the photos. p.s. Mel, I hope I haven't offended you too much.
As far as Goa is concerned, the evidence on which this argument is based seems to be sketchy. This is true in some parts like Kerala though where the Syrian Christians were there earlier. (Their claim to be "St Thomas Christians" is also debatable though.)

Think of the atrocities committed by Portuguese on Hindus. It was genocide which lasted for centuries.

Sorry, what was that saying? Don't look at the gift horse...
Portuguese were not the pioneers of Christianity. Christianity existed long before the Portuguese.
