If travelling, lugging cases etc the ability to fold them around the neck and rotate the cups or fold them down to a very compact shape to stow away is a big bonus. Battery life for long journey's is fantastic.
That's the main reason I love them. I can take them anywhere. They're excellent street cans. They're tough as nails. Can't say that for most headphones with their one way hinges, fixed cables, etc.
I have also noticed the occasional slight latency delay when using them over Bluetooth, esp after pause and start. Noticeable, but not a deal breaker. Audio over BT has always had some issues. I also have a pair of the entry level ATH-M20x for watching videos. Talk about value for money, and so comfortable.
@@kartikmishra6894 No, I wouldn't say emphasised treble. A more balanced response, not bass heavy though, if that helps. Pleasant and good for voice (I use them mostly for watching TH-cam videos) which use the 4khz to 16khz range. I am not a good reference for this as I am in my late 50s with a diminished sensitivity to the higher frequencies.
Received these M50x BT2 a few days ago and out of the box the sound quality is excellent. They definitely exceeded my expectation for the price and I've not even bedded them in yet. What would be a considerable upgrade in sound quality for Trance music on these (I don't need Bluetooth necessarily).
@@misenko856 ideal for Trance... How so? Also I just did a quick search on Amazon and they were only showing DAC's with that name. Which brand are the headphones? Thanks
@@thediplomat3137 it’s amplifier… you need a good sound card to get best of these headphones. BT connection with Spotify even equalized is nothing if you connected the headphones to a good amplifier.
I have 2 of the wired pair of these. Excellent. Although if the made the BT version a hybrid with noise cancellation and had a button to color the headphones with a tiny bit of bass push that could be turned on and off I would recommend these to everyone. That way they could be used for mixing, but also just make them fun to listen to with the feature of active noise cancellation and bass. These would be the headphones for consumers listening and also for people mixing.
I despise the modern bland look of top-of-the-line headphones. That's why I started looking at these. I ended up ordering a pair and waiting for it to be delivered. I also bought dark brown ear pads and a brown protector for the head band part to give it that extra cool cozy look. Interesting that it is good for both studio work and for entertainment. I wonder if they will replace my AKG K240s for studio work.
to get them to pair wireless with ps4 or xbox one it is a weird one they do not support Bluetooth audio however I've known a few people who bought a cheap Bluetooth audio transmitter and Velcro or blue tacked to controller , i also my personal way is use the digital audio thingy the laser one always forget the name get a cheap digital to 3.5mm adapter they are a little awkward and plug it into the consoles digital out , if you are one of the ones who still has a 3.5mm jack on their tv(i dont) link up a 3.5mm Bluetooth transmitter and indefinitely power it with a usb cable from the tv my main solution is between the both of the last 2 digital to 3.5 on the tv and power it with the tv usb ports it works fine not really noticeable unless you are really trying to compete then you are better with wired edit if you are going to go the transmitter option makie suire you get one that has zero latency apt x or bluetooth 5 5.2
It’s not a scientific answer but hope it helps.. so when I tried charging it with “fast” chargers, charging was very inconsistent it would charge for like 10mins and then stop charging And randomly start charging again after like 15-20mins which was weird to me. So I don’t really recommend it although I don’t have proof that it’s not good but it’s weird, it may work for you but personally I didn’t find it reliable.
I never had an LG phone but always appreciate it them trying all kinds of wild/interesting ideas .. they really shaped up the smartphones of today. You’ll be missed LG.

Love my V60!, still use it as my main DAP. And...my *original* M50's are still rockin' - I modded mine to a 3.5mm input jack before AT did it (the originals had a non-detachable cord)! Do still love the AT signature sound, so may have to get these, especially since they have LDAC. 😊@@Shkarsalar

I have 2 pairs of ATH-MSR7's, both of which had that very uncomfortable 'clamping' problem when new. The good news is, after maybe a couple of weeks, they become very comfortable. Hopefully, your BT2 will do the same.
It does and it’s great for that.. although I would argue if you’re not doing any production or critical listening you can get other headphones with a little more bass if you’re into that .. These are designed to hear the sound “as it is” and that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the most enjoyable but still these are awesome headphones. I really like mine! Hope that helps
@@Shkarsalar thank you so much for the quick response as I’m contemplating to cancel the current order or not. @taybetatik I don’t know about sounding bad when the mic is on .. but I can tell you this tho.. you can only use the mic while connected to bluetooth maybe that will help you make an informed decision.. also if you’re gonna be using it wirelessly then you can disregard my previous point about not having enough bass because you can tweak it to your liking in the companion app but changes wouldn’t carry over if you plug the cable, it will go back to that balanced sound that it was meant to deliver

@kartikmishra6894 Yeah, in the equalizer in the audio technica app there's actually a setting for enhanced treble
The M20xBT sound really bad, boring dull and terrible punchy but sloppy, inaccurate bass

brb buying a pair of headphones
When you fold them flat, is there still room for the headphones to rotate inwards? Basically, the way the Sony WH-1000XM1-4 models do?
I’m not sure if I understand exactly, however assuming you mean the way that XM4s fold into their bag .. you can’t fold them inwards like this
Yes they do good inwards but differently, the Xm4 one cup goes over the other, with the m50xbt2 they fold simetrically without overlapping
