2019 model runs sensus which does not have over the air updates, any changes to this system would be done at a volvo service centre. Vovlo have a website where you can input your model and model year for details on past or planned updates
Hi Tom, i have tried this with my duaghters iphone se but nothing happens, my software states version 2.2 but it said this after volvo completed the cars 1st service on the 7th July which was prior to the actual release so I think my software is confused/messed up
Mate, got my XC60 MY22 serviced yesterday and 2.2 was installed with CarPlay. *I’m in the US (Florida). It’s the wired version, not wireless. No Android Auto though…
I have noticed that when i connect my daughter apple se phone using 3rd party cable a phone symbol shows next to her phone on the screen which is not their for my android phone? I am wondering if apple car play is not launching as I am not using an official cable? Apple don't provide charger and cable to uk market with their phones as they are cheap skates. I have noticed the fast charger usb c port has moved from the white ringed port to the port below it, i guess as the white ringed port is now to support apple phones? No android auto I presume because the OS is already android 🤷♂️
For example, no other streaming service, only Tidal and Spotify. We have Deezer family, so we surely won't switch. And streaming via Bluetooth is not an option, I didn't get the Harman Kardon system only then to butcher sound quality by streaming...
Since I saw 2.2 was released I have been trying to get it to update every day but didn't, maybe that's a good thing? however still have glitches, lost gps yesterday so had to do the 20sec reset, and this morning indicating noise didn't work and took ages for screen to kick in, really odd indicating and no noise.
My system has the same issues sadly, one time driving a long journey the cars internet just stopped so i had hardly any functions to access. Hopefully at some point Volvo will work out the glitches and issues

Mine did not on 2.1 allow satellite view, I have been checking and made a reference in one of my videos that this system should if android auto allows. It was not on the 2.1 update notes, maybe Volvo or google just added it over the air at some random time?
@@tastyf1974 - yep - satellite view was added by a Google maps update independent of running 2.1 or 2.2. I have also 2.1 still with satellite view in Google Maps.

Can anyone tell me why my software says it’s up to date though it’s only on 1.7? I desperately want 2.2 for Apple Car Play.

Why would you want android auto function? Basically the whole native system is Google based.
@@Tesrivian Because the number of apps for Google Automotive is something like 30. No messengers, no nothing.
