Northeast Passage was going to be truncated regardless of whether the interconnect occurred or not. Lowest elevation terrain, redundant after the Killington gondola was replaced by Skyeship 1/2 mile down the road, last to open, and least utilized due to the lift. They barely can get Skyeship and Sunrise Village open by Christmas now.
Amazing how far their snowmaking ability has fallen. Northeast Passage is at about the same elevation at Jackson Gore at Okemo. No reason it couldn't have survived with a better lift. If it were still open, they could have used it for Woodward now.
