    Question ??? For the line connection… have you thought about / tried an offset fish shank ?? I use them as the connection point and a platform to tir skirts on when I tie my weightless whissper jig I learned from SDG custom lure craft …. They are preformed and come in many sizes So I thought it would be perfect for your application 👍.no need for special tools to bend wire 😎

      @ThatGuySkimpy  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes I wanted to use them but couldn't find any locally so I used the wire form. If I can find the correct size to fit the mold it sure would save alot of time !!!

      And the ones I did order didn't fit

      @@ThatGuySkimpy ya ..I ordered some I thought was the same as Adam used .. ended up being like 1/4” long not 3/4” 🤦. I’m like WTH am I gonna use these dinky things on I don’t tie trout flies … cost more to ship them back than just keep um …. Ugh …🤷‍♂️. ………Kewl build thou !! where did you get the 2nd set of pliers to crimp the bends

    I use a straight shank hook and cut it to length of the hook eye to the mold eye. This allows me to make different size Ned rigs as well! Try it out!

    Making your own wire forms can be so time consuming but opens the door for so many options like this one!! Well done

    • @ThatGuySkimpy
      @ThatGuySkimpy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. It takes alot to make the wireforms but glad it worked out. I tried a bunch of pre-made ones and they didn't work out

  • @FishnTheSouthOkanagan78

    The top of the skip gap hook didn’t look like it left enough room on the bigger jig sizes to hold the soft plastic after it was poured, JW might even have to use super glue to hold the bait

    You could use the wobblehead mold and put a weedless ned hook in it. World about the same. Really nice with some floating worms

    • @ThatGuySkimpy

      @@ThatGuySkimpy that’s would be awesome if you can! I only own the hybrid grass jig so I can’t experiment myself but would love to hear back. Maybe even a regular football jig head and bending wire after?

    • @ThatGuySkimpy
      @ThatGuySkimpy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't think would be that hard, BUT depending on how long the clip is it could get in the way of the next cavity and wouldn't be able to pour the next size down. If that makes sense ? So you would prob have to do every other cavity. And get another mold and do the missing cavities

    Do you need to Dremel both sides of the mold? I was thinking of modifying my mold as well!

    • @ThatGuySkimpy
      @ThatGuySkimpy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes both sides. When you line up the hook where you want it and close the mold tight and can even put in a vice, it will leave a mark on both sides of the mold so you will know where to cut
