Thanks for this video. My controller was flashing all of the arrows when I tried going from the vent to floor heat. Also when I tried to get heat to the defrost. So, I purchased a new blend door module (around $38 dollars) and it fixed my problem. So, if your controller is flashing all of the arrows and not changing direction, get you a new blend door like this video is showing and it should fix your problem.
I've a 93 Suburban, I tried it and no results... Ended up changing the blend door actuator, problem fixed and display stopped flashing! Thanks for the quick fix if it happens again.
I did this and it didn't seem to do anything sooo I was going to start to replace switch. The next morning I decided to try it again and it works better than when I bought the truck in 2005. It is a 1996 GMG. Thank you so much for this video. Just took time for wd40 to lube it up.
Yep it was crusty all right and all gummed up! I got my old ass up underneath the dash and looked and sure as the world full of dust and dirt I got this old truck which is a 91 k 1500 for $800 bucks . It fixed the problem so thank you you did good.
The 2 plastic clips that hold the left spring inside that linkage broke on mine. I guess I'm gonna get the practice changing them. Thanks for the video it helped show what way to align the linkage lever for the defrost door
I’ll have to try this. Last night I took out the blower motor and cleaned out inside where the evaporator is and cleaned that also. It did help with air flow a little but there should be more. When the ac is on blowing on the face I still have air blowing on the defrost and it fogs up the windshield. I hope I HOPE it’s not the damper, that requires dropping the dash and steering column I believe.
