I'm in Southern MO. And I love going down to Arkansas for hiking and floating.... I was extremely close to my Grandparents they were more like parents to me. I lost both of them over the last two years or so. So I know exactly what you're saying about not having this forever. I'd recommend continuing to make your family and making memories a priority. You will never regret it.
So beautiful. I’m in SE Florida. Walked outside just now and it’s 97. No hiking until about 5 or 5:30. Easier on the dogs. God bless and thank you for sharing your videos. ❤️🙏🏼❤️
Yes it was a hot one today In FLA i was on a kayak in the Santa Fe River here in northern Fla and must have drank a gallon of water on the water. Thinking today was a hotttt one and to think we haven’t even begun.🥵
Kelly Hayes, I find myself following you more and more nowadays with the hiking, canoeing and the van life. It's just such a well-rounded channel and awesome life you've got for yourself! Very happy for you....
Glad your back in Arkansas and doing something with your dad. I live in Fayetteville Arkansas in one of the older communities for 38 years. Main reason for this comment is the cicadas Most come out every 17 years but some every 13 years. This year both are arriving. Something that does not happen but once in a lifetime. Anyway if you could do video of this happening anywhere in Arkansas "Where the Cicadas Sing" I think would be great. Sorry to rip off the title of a movie. Which actually was a very good movie. .
Beautiful area! Love the water falls and trails. ❤ I'm glad that you still have your dad to hang out with. My dad used to take me for nature hikes I'd call them when I was really young. He'd get upset with me for getting into the poison ivy and oak all the time. 😅 He died from cancer when I was 18. I cherish the memories of my time spent with him. I've always enjoyed walking and being outside in nature because of him. I love him and miss him. Enjoy every moment you have together. Like someone else said I bet he's really proud of you.
Kelly, watching you and your dad brought tears... I miss my dad so very much and our trail walks and hikes. Would give anything for one more walk with him. Enjoy your time with him. Thanks for the post! ❤️
I love hiking in the Buffalo River area. It’s close to my Missouri home. Never been here, going to check it out! The waterfall hikes are my favorite ones!
i LOVE clinton arkansas and bluffton i go there to double drop falls after a good rain. i need to do the razorabck rock thing cuz it looks cool. the canoe access to the river is gorgeous to sit at and just listen to the water!
I looked through my Tim Ernst - Arkansas Waterfalls book index for "School House Falls" and it isn't in there!! At least it isn't in my copy, but it's a good 20 years old, lol. Pretty waterfall and a great day shared with your Dad. Warmed my heart when you spoke of the things that you truly value and cherish :)
Once again some beautiful scenery on those hikes. Sitting with your Dad on the rock locking at the waterfall got me. Ending the day with that food looked pretty darn good!!
Spent several days hiking in Mulberry last week and it was so gorgeous! The beautiful spring colors, the mountains, the blue water; it was awe inspiring!
We’re planning to move to Arkansas in the next couple of years. It’s had my heart since I was a child and your videos only stir the passion. Thank you!
This is amazing!! I loved seeing you out with your Pops! Man I sure miss mine! I see now how awesome you are after seeing your Dad. He did a great job and I’m sure he is so very proud of the amazing woman you have become! You are one special person and thank you for being you! Also, I do love me some beach life but I think I belong in the woods and hills too. I too love it more.
You notice all the amazing views & are able to do exactly what makes your heart, mind , & your soul Content. Plus spending quality time with loved ones . You are an amazing person 💐💯❤️
Hi Kelley! I was just thinking, you should bring a family member with you on a hike. And there was your dad! I think it's great! Good family time memories❤ / Diane
It’s nice to be out in the Ozarks hiking in the beautiful weather. That old cellar you found with the old mason jars is typically an old spring house where people kept their bottled goods and cold from a spring source running through and they were the original refrigerators before today’s refrigerators existed. Driving through the backroads of Arkansas makes me want to take a trip there because of the beautiful scenery.
Spent many decades in Arkansas mostly in NW. In college I spent more time hiking there than on the U of A campus! Back in the early 80's it was empty. Got many a coed's "especially out of staters" willing to skip classes! Glad you had a great trip with dad.
You and your dad, nothing better than that! I would love to run into you on a hike in Arkansas, and I haven't checked out those falls yet. It's almost too late, but I've seen a lot this year, it's on my list! Happy Trails✌️
Love all your vids! Arkansas is so beautiful! This is what hiking is all about ...stopping to smell the flowers and just enjoying the views all while bonding with someone special! Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!
I did only one hike with my Dad and that was the northern half of the AT in the Smokies. He said there weren’t many trees along the trail that hadn’t been leaned on… LOL
Thanks Kelly! Great content as usual! Good to see you be able to hike with your Dad. Heather and I look forward to your next adventure! God bless! Alec
I think you’d really enjoy Northern Michigan. Especially the Upper Peninsula! Fall is the best for the color. Porcupine Mountains, Lake in the Clouds, Taghuamenon Falls and kayaking Pictures Rocks.
Heart warming reflection about life -> video. Folks born in the mid 1950’s are looking at 70 years old soon enough. Seems *far ahead* in time; when one is in there 20’s.
I haven’t watched this vlog yet. Because I have to wait for my wife so we can watch together❤️. Just another hour or so. But I want to tell you something. You videos are so relaxing. Yes entertaining and interesting. But mostly, I love how peaceful your style is for me. Thank you
Beautiful trails! Here's a tip you may find helpful: if you decide to do a trail run and want the pace to be brisk, watching 'The Blair Witch Project' before entering the woods is a great motivator to run fast. 🥺
Bluffton Preserve is so close to my house and I have never been there! I have got to go now after watching your video...Thanks for sharing your adventures!
i'm trying to float next weekend, hoping to do ponca , camp, take out at kyles landing but looks like ponca water level is pretty low, hopefully it gets some serious rain this week
Oh trust me there is more coming! Two of my good friends are moving there this summer so now I have a free place to stay and friends there! Will definitely be back next year
Thanks for hanging out with your pops. I'm sure he is mighty proud of you. Dad's always love spending time with their kids.
Not all dads. But the good ones yes!!
@@jhayft0703 truth!
It's so cool to be able to hang out with your father. Cherish these moments because they're not gonna last forever.
Your father is so blessed to have you for his daughter . And you are blessed to have such a great father. Enjoyed today’s video. 😊
Awesome. Your segments are always as good as any cable television show.

I'm so happy to have enjoyed this trek with your Dad!! This is what memories are made of ❤😊 Very scenic county for sure..God Bless !!😊
Those waterfalls are beautiful! I love the Ozarks, I’m a Missouri boy and spent much of my childhood exploring that amazing part of the country.

Nothing better than seeing daughter and dad hiking together. I will have to check out one of those power stations.
Pretty impressed with this power station! I am gifting it to my grandma so she has one for her home :)
That was so cool hiking with your dad. Looked like some nice trails and cute little falls. Stay well and be safe.

It's really a blessing to live in such a great and beautiful state (Arkansas) with an amazing community for all things outdoors.
I love going solo but all the hikes and backpacking trips I've done with my daughter truly hold the best memories for me!

I lost my Dad last year. Spend lots of time with yours. When he's gone, he's not coming back.
So sorry about your dad❤️
Thanks for sharing your time with your dad. I lost my dad to cancer this past October. Cherish every minute you can get with your parents.
Very cool. I hiked Hetch Hetchy, outside of Yosemite yesterday.
My wife and I have hiked to every water fall in both Ernst books. Nearly 200 of them! So much fun. Now we are doing them again.
That is so cool!!! Goals!!
Once again some beautiful scenery on those hikes. Sitting with your Dad on the rock locking at the waterfall got me. Ending the day with that food looked pretty darn good!!

Thank you for sharing your home state and the Ozark Mountains! We hope to get to visit this area in September!
Like a father, like a daughter: both down to earth.
I Wish i could get my mom to go out on a short hike like those. Mabey the Nebo waterfall...

Add Arkansas to the bucket list.
Somehow it's very common that your own family does not share your passion. Hope everyone in your family will go with you next time.
I hope so too :)
The ticks have been bad in the Midwest already I have seen 3! How do you protect yourself when you are out camping from them
