damn man, your bike looks exactly like mine before I put 13 yrs of riding the hell out of it on it. lol What a sweet looking machine, sweet riding too. Great videos, I guess I suck at winter-izing because every spring it's trouble getting it started...... uggh

I have the same bike. However I am having fuel fly out the exhaust. Do you have an explanation for that?

I know its an old post but, no start at all is usually pkugs, then che k ignition coil for resistance. Make sure your cluster is lighting up properly as well. If it doesnt at least cough or sputter, pull a spark plug out and rest it on engine while attached to plug wire. Crank engine and see if you see spark. If not dead plug wire or coil or plug. Check with multimeter and go from there

Hello I really hope you see this.. Does the Gen1 SV650 have a lift pump as well or is it just that petcock?

Do you have to worry about fuel being in the lines? At 0'30 when you show the inside of the line, we see it cracked a bit in the center, but does that mean you unplugged and checked all other lines the same way?

Rags nearby is always a good thing! I didn't have any major spills, maybe a few drops. The bike is now 17 years old so checking the rubber hoses is something I am keeping an eye on and will be sure to swap out as soon as needed.

I have stuttering, power loss, RPM doesn't go over 5k and even the bike stalls time to time. And there are times when everything comes back. I found some scotch tapes in the tank, don't ask how it got into it, but the tank was repainted by the previous owner. I removed the tank, cleaned it, checked inside with camera and everything looks nice, not even rusty. I checked the fuel filter, it works. I haven't touched the fuel pump yet. I also checked the airbox, removed it. I didn't dare to touch the carburetor, yet.
    1. Anything else to check?
    2. Can someone advise a link for a carb video?
    Thanks

Measure the old ones if you can't find the information online or in a Haynes manual, always handy to have :)
