I just discovered your channel and I love it! My grandfather was a blacksmith but he died before I had a chance to learn from him. I have a lot of his equipment, not as much as I’d like. He always told my father that, if anything had been built or made before, it could be done again. He made about 80% of his own tools. Your work reminds me that it can still be done and done quite nicely, even with primitive tools. I salute you sir. Very nice work!
@@AmazingKKDaily Where is this shop located? And do you have a PayPal or anything like that? The pride the smith puts into his work is very obvious in the quality of the finished products and I'd like to help provide tools to better match his capabilities once COVID has settled and I am more financially stable.
@@yello4bangazuki147 The downsides to a gas forge is the sheer price of the gas itself, this smith makes his own charcoal at another location and has it brought to his workshop, making it much more affordable than frequent trips into town to re-fill a tank with an expensive (and kinda dangerous) pressurized gas Also 350 Euro is about 1.7million Riel, which seems a *tad* expensive for their area for a single item, personally I feel they would benefit more from the previously listed tools (i.e a belt grinder, drill press, and proper anvil) than they would a second forge ya know?
Luv the cooking ax. Do you take orders for your knives and axes? If so Do you have a catalogue so I can browse thru it and choose an item or two. Please let me know either way if you do or don't. Thank you......
