We Chinese have heard of "English corner" ever since primary school. I really hope westerners can at least learn an oriental language like Chinese or Japanese from young and be a bilingual, because language doesn't serve as a tool only, but also implants an aspect of thinking/logic. Vise versa,It's also important for Chinese/Japanese to pick up a western language like English or French.
In Australia we don't have any neighbouring countries (we are an island) so there isn't as much pressure to learn another language. I think it's a great thing to learn a language, a great way to understand more about another culture

That meetup looked like fun and it’s such a great idea to stay on top of the language you are learning, or to keep it fresh and not lose what you’ve already learned. I grew up speaking it but never developed a larger vocabulary despite many years of Chinese school. Once my mom stopped sending us, I quickly forgot how to read and write all that I learned. I have no problem with pronunciation, just need to build vocabulary so I’ve been watching a lot of TH-camrs that speak Chinese. 😁

You pronuncated every word perfectly, just had some problems of tone.
Who doesn't?!
Oh wow! Loved your Chinese corner technique🥰
Awesome video, thanks for sharing! You got a lovely family ☺️☺️ Talking in Chinese for 24 hours isn’t an easy thing lol 😂 you did great!! 👍
When you start dreaming in Chinese then you are becoming genuinely bilingual. I can remember my first dream in Japanese and my wife also told me I was talking in my sleep in Japanese. It's cool but sometime you wonder about your own identity how far does it extend to. You are a bright star and I enjoy your videos and idealism.
Hi Amy (such a cool name, not being bias or anything ahaha), I’m chinese but unfortunately wasn’t taught chinese growing up in the UK so now I’ve started learnin (better late than never ehh)! You provide such helpful content so ty and I wish we had something like a 'Chinese Corner' here! xx
hahahah Amy, I do have to admit, you have the most wonderful name! Maybe you could start your own Chinese corner in the UK! I'm sure there are lots of people who would love to make new friends and practice their chinese xx
