Incredible work. I am headed to the local thrift store and start looking up different types of vases to try this out on. I have been making all kinds of different inside out lathe projects. Very glad I saw this. You have been inspiring to me. Something I have been working on is making a heart on the inside out projects. I was successful with that using a cedar I recently cut down in my woods and had I seen your video first, I would have tried it with the vase. Thank you.

Good morning ! Looking for suggestion on what size of vase I should place inside my blanc ? My blanc is 4" x 4" X11"" long ! Should I turn my blanc and measure the opening I have for the vase ? Also what is the size of of the blanc in your video also the size of the vase you used ? Have a good week ! Vic Anfossi from Val - Comeau N.B. Canada

I would go with a 2 1/2” diameter vase. This would give you plenty of room for design. As I am moving mine is packed away however I do believe it was 2 3/4” in diameter. The height is not as critical other than you want enough space to get a bite with your jaws. Good luck.

hey dude,,, that's a pretty cool design concept. I enjoyed your video. I *just* started getting interested in turning. Been watching tons of vids over the past few weeks and finally drove to HF to buy one of these lathes... and they didnt have any (although the manager said there were 2 in stock) :D oh well. May be going to another state to pick it up tomorrow... supposedly confirmed 'in stock'.
Question - whats the deal with the short bed/rails on the left end/side of the machine/motor? Does the head swivel a full 180?
    Thanks

XXXTechRC Yes it does. Pretty nice for larger bowls. Thanks for the comment.
